Ahahahaha, GOG gave those for free last Christmas, great games.

¡Dictadores del Caribe no son (necesariamente) piratas!
4½ good games for <£7 ain't bad. I should probably start working these out in USD, seeing as Job McYossie is the only one who actually reads this shit. |

Otherwise, yes, buy TL2 because it's pretty awesome. |

Beyond Good & Evil is 60% off on GOG, great awesome amazing game. As well as the rest of their Ubisoft stuff but whatever about the most of that. |
|
Well yes it is, and no it isn't. It isn't any "HD edition" thing, but it does support High Definition resolution. I ran it on 1440x900
|
HD resolution support isn't the same as HD quality textures and models.
|
Afair the HD version has never been ported to pc. And to this day I'm not sure if they REALLY put any HD textures/models in HD version instead of just upping the res.

Yeah, it's just that Ubisoft says a lot of things, and when I looked at the first screenshots before they released the HD version it looked exactly the same with bigger res. When I look at the official screenshots now the models are higher poly. If you ask me, it doesn't really matter. It's pretty enough on its own and the soundtrack sounds good, I wouldn't bother paying more for an HD version having the original even if it was released on PC

Just a heads up that BG&E apparently doesn't run well on Intel integrated graphics chipsets - Audio and vision seem to go out of sync. But who the hell attempts to run games on them these days?
Beautiful game, though - One of my all time favorites. I met Micheal Ancel and Christophe Héral at Video Games Live back in '06, where some of the soundtrack was played by a live band. They both signed the inlay of my physical copy of BG&E. Was awesome. Also, seconded to what Varrok said - The HD version isn't much different from the original, and you aren't missing much by not having it. The game was very good for its time. |
Apparently Playfire+JoystickAwards will be giving free copies of the worse-than-original remake of XCOM provided you vote for their best games competition. Personally, I think the remake is worse because they cut most of the tactics and details of the original, it's much more streamlined (in a bad way) and lacks the charm of the original.
Here's the link. Oh, my. It seems like I posted a link for a better game by mistake. Well... no need to complain, then. ... ... FINE, the real link is here. Jesus |
Free to try this weekend. Voxel game, a little like Minecraft in space, but more of a sandbox - Survival mode hasn't quite been fleshed out yet. It's fun to build ships and crash them together/into things by remote control, then watch them explode spectacularly. Workshop mods significantly increase the amount of blocks/components available.

Was offering some free TF2 items in this post - I've given them away now though, making this post redundant.

Highly recommend Rock of Ages
It's pretty much Monty Python: The Game. |

Bundle Stars are doing a raffle for $500 of Steam credit, and I'm kind of running a syndicate. If you enter via this referral link, I get entered into the raffle again, on top of any entries you get, so the idea is that we get 10 or so people and then we all get $50 each if any of us win.
I've got five people on board so far; our current chances are about 0.014%. Out of 140,000 entries, that's actually pretty good. Make sure you post or PM or something so I can cut you in. |
Three free copies of Risk of Rain! First come first serve.
