Anyways, I've been playing some Binding of Isaac, thinking about getting Diablo 3. Also, Shadowrun demo. |
Spyro 2 is my favorite in the series actually. :tard:
|
:
Spyro 3 was better than Spyro 2. |
:
Spyro 2 is the best because of the minigame where you blasted that dumb sandcastle to bits. |
:
|
I liked the first game because the levels were so nice and big.
|
Not dissimilar to your mother's vagina.
|
Spyro 2 has better swimming mechanics than Super Mario Galaxy
|
I prefer Spyro 2 as well. This may be partially due to the fact that there's a glitch allowing you to jump higher than intended, which then allows you to get out of bounds and perform other glitches. Also, swimming in the air was cool.
I can't remember swimming being terrible in SMG. Except on Bouy Base Galaxy when you need to collect the star in the pokeball-esque area. |
It wasn't terrible at all, i was using SMG as the reference standard for gameplay mechanics in a platformer.

Although 2 and 3 have more variety such as more playable characters and minigames, for some reason I like Spyro 1 the most (well, out of the original trilogy, that is. A Hero's Tail is my favourite Spyro game.). I just can't explain it, really. It's the same thing with Ratchet and Clank 2 vs Ratchet and Clank 3 - although 3 doesn't have shitty minigames such as Giant Clank and those horrible space ship levels, I like 2 more.
|
RnC 3, despite being a potentially better game, was really easy. Money was also really common. Gone were the days of RnC 1 where saving for the Ryno actually felt like an effort.
That's not to say hours of farming hoverboard races and the Giant Clank level were fun by any means. It's just that they made obtaining the gun much more satisfying. |
Another thing that makes it easier is the free Bogon weapons. It's hilarious that you can get an overpowered weapon such as the Lava Gun for FREE.
|
I too like RnC 2 more. I liked the weapons and amour much more and it was more challenging then 3. Also the fact it was the first Ratchet game I played.
Same applies for Spyro 2. Spyro 2 was one of my first video games so it holds a place in my heart :3 The real reason why I liked Spyro 2 more then 1 and 3 was the collectables were more interesting and I loved the worlds and levels (Summer Forest, Winter Tundra, Autumn Plains ect.) Also the fact you can play an extra mini-game-like level in after you beat the final boss as a reward. |
Well, to be fair, it has been years sice I actually played Spyro 2, mainly due to the fact that my disc is scrated like HELL and it isn't available on PSN in the UK and Ireland.

You can make a PSN in a region that has it. That's what I plan on doing for Gex 2 Enter the Gecko, which isn't available in my region for some reason.

I do like the collectibles in 2 more (Orbs are awesome), but everything else—the music, levels, characters, story, boss fights, minigames—is superior in 3. |
All that jumping around in BRINK! made me want to play Mirror's Edge.
In retrospect, not a great idea, since it's cost me £200+. Damned good game, though. |
|
lol wut.
|

that doesn't necessarily mean they would permanently remove it. Wouldn't they release a patch or something? Either way, it's not up there now.
|
Skyrim. When I can. Dorian is totally fucking hooked on it so I spend more time helping her/teaching her how to use things like the enchanting table than I actually play my own character. Dawnguard has me excited though.
|
Dawnguard does look awesome, though I don't know much about it. Is there gonna be a whole new area to explore, or just new quests and NPCs in the main area?

Gave MGS1 on PSX a try. Not really my thing. I'm used to being coddled by all the extra gadgets from the later games. Also the audio is a bit messed up, but that's not really the game itself's fault.
I'm also grinding FF7 like a dishevelled manwhore as I type this. I'm at the Nibel Mountains before rocket town, just recruited |
:
Other than that, pretty solid. Lots to do, well worth it. Also... new dragons, crossbow, vampire lord, werewolf skill tree, new armour, armoured trolls, new generic enemies. The new skeletons are tough as shit, no more 'clank' and fall apart. It's like fighting a mob of deathlords. |
Just finished downloading. Goodbye, day.
|
Also if you're broke, precious stones like diamonds and amethysts are fucking everywhere in the DLC.
It does nothing for me, though. With all houses bought and smithing at 100, not much to buy. Also, you can finally craft arrows in addition to bolts for the crossbow. |
So, if there's new skill trees does that mean that the level cap has increased? Because I've been at the top for months now and I forget what it's like to see LEVEL UP. Is it even out yet? How much is it?
|
No. Yes. 1600 MS points, that's about 20$ US I think.
Thanks Google! |
Just finished Psychonauts. Well, not finished completely, I still have to collect the rest of the baggage/figments etc. I was very impressed, and I might have to say it's one of my favourite games. Hopefully the sequel will be as good!
|
:
|
It might. It could happen. I pray to Satan every night.
|
As awesome as I think Psychonauts is, I think things can really be expanded upon with a sequel. Gah, I just love the characters and want to see more of them.

I went back and started Diablo again now that I'm fairly bored of D3, but it just feels clunky and the resolution annoys me so I downloaded the Torchlight demo. I really enjoyed it. Pre-ordering the second on Steam also gets you a copy of the first, so I'll be doing that.
It feels like D3 did at the start and from what I gather it stays just as exciting. Within a few minutes I picked up a "kill this big, horrid monster for reason X" quest, which were completely absent from D3. Also, scrolls for identify and town portal :D |
