I love Rayman, but Lord I wish Ancel couldve gotten BG&E 2 out first...>_<

Crashpunk 11-24-2011 01:13 PM

Even more reason to buy it. Its scored 91% in Official Nintendo Magazine.

JennyGenesis 11-24-2011 01:30 PM

8.5 from Gamespot,

Bring on tomorrow! I'm excited now :D

I'm not too sure what the general view is on it.

Based on my experiences with the demo (and the Giant Bomb Quick Look), I’m looking forward to picking it up – I enjoyed Unleashed’s Daytime stages, I enjoy the classic games, and the demo was fun to play. I can’t see any reason not to like it.

What don’t you like about it?

Alf Shall Rise 11-24-2011 03:33 PM

Aside from Skyrim, I am now replaying through RE3 and actually trying to finish it. I don't remember Nemesis making me panic so much when I first played this years ago.

Mac Sirloin 11-24-2011 03:40 PM

Playing through Megaman Battle Network 3 again, it's the best in the series but my favorite is still Battle Network 2 for swearing, Forte/Gospel and Magnetman's music.

I loved these games when I was growing up. I don't know if it's a common thing, but they were sort of my games. Most of my friends didn't play them and the ones that did weren't half as good as me. I even liked 4. Nobody likes Battle Network 4.

The theme doesn't have shit on Battle Network 2's, though.

Havoc 11-24-2011 03:47 PM

You could have someone in the US buy them for you and save a WHOLE lot more.

Dynamithix 11-24-2011 08:25 PM

And that's a ridiculous price for Spore. I got the galactic edition of it for half that price.

StrangerEastwood 11-24-2011 08:32 PM

I love the first two Battle Networks, being a huge Mega Man nerd, but Once it become pokemon-ish...It just got very boring to me.

Mac Sirloin 11-24-2011 09:49 PM

4, 5 and 6 are essentially just a wholly seperate continuity altogether in my books. If you're in agreeance with how utterly abominable Battle Network 4 is, you might enjoy reading this. It's a very recent LP that catalogues all of the various fuckups throughout.

MeechMunchie 11-26-2011 04:05 AM

Deus Ex: Human Revolution for £15.

I'm thinking maybe we should have a sales update thread.

Dynamithix 11-26-2011 04:51 AM

In Finland, you can get it for less than ten euros. That's a good price.

I've been playing some arcade games on Xbox Live; Boom Boom Rocket, Luxor 2, Pacman Championship Edition and UNO. All of them are actually pretty fun and one euro for them wasn't a bad price. (I got the XBLA compilation disc that comes with those games).

Luxor 2 is probably the best out of them. Having a lot of fun with it.

Mr. Bungle 11-26-2011 06:19 AM

Pacman CE DX was fucking pro. Pain Train!

JennyGenesis 11-26-2011 11:25 AM

Well, I've played Rayman Origins :D

I'm totally loving every second of it!

I'm very thankful for infinite lives to :D

But for some reason, I don't seem to be enjoying it as much as the first game :/ but I'm defiantly happy that I traded in Modern Warfare 3 for it. I got £30 for my trade in.

Phylum 11-26-2011 01:09 PM

Are you upto the second world yet? That was the deal-sealer for me.

JennyGenesis 11-26-2011 01:50 PM

The Land of Dijeridoos (however you spell it)

Yeah I'm progressing through that right now.

Crashpunk 11-27-2011 11:39 PM

I got a couple of good games on steam the past week since its the sale, I got Fallout New Vegas, LIMBO and VVVVVV.

New Vegas is F***ing amazing. I still can't believe it runs well on my PC. LIMBO is really good too, Its a bit creepy at times. and I've played a lot of VVVVVV's demo so obvously i'm enjoying the full game.

Phylum 11-28-2011 12:15 AM

Good luck getting all of the tokens. The Veni, Vidi, Vici run is horrible. I had to drill myself to get it to the point where I could probably still do it now. Also, the Gravitron. You have my respect if you can muster more that 10 seconds on that thing.

Have you played Fallout 3?

Because I think that game is far better than New Vegas,

Yes New Vegas is a good game but Fallout 3 is better.

Phylum 11-28-2011 02:11 AM

NV was technically better. There were loads of improvements over Fallout 3. It's a pity the levels were poorly designed and the environment was less interesting to explore. It really ruined it for me.

The airport is a perfect example of everything wrong with the game. It is a large strip of tarmac with a few Radscorpions, nothing more. It didn't serve a purpose or contain anything interesting, which was unlike Fallout 3 where everything was something.

Beyond Good & Evil HD is only 240 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Arcade right now, just got it and started playing. So good!

MeechMunchie 11-28-2011 05:14 AM

Playing this.

Level 10 is a kicker.

It's good, but not as amazing as everybody makes it out to be.

Wings of Fire 11-28-2011 05:21 AM

I agree, racing games are so much more creative.

JennyGenesis 11-28-2011 05:29 AM

Oh shush you.

I bought it at launch and it couldn't grab me, which is weird since normally I am a sucker for Zelda clones.

Anyone here have Sonic Generations? Would you recommend it? I could get it for free at Toys R Us with a gift card. Take in mind I really like 2D platformers, but have no real history with 2D Sonic games.

JennyGenesis 11-28-2011 09:57 AM

I've played it twice, and I really hate it,

I get the feeling that I may be part of a minority though.

I agree. If you approach it with a clear mind, you'll realise that it is only excellent.

MeechMunchie 11-28-2011 02:43 PM

The combat was a bit retarded.

Daxter King 11-28-2011 03:18 PM

You could say the same thing about pretty much all the Elder Scrolls games though.

Dynamithix 11-28-2011 07:30 PM

Wait, what? Don't you mean BG&E?

EDIT: Oh, never mind. I misunderstood.

Not Skyrim.

Not Skyrim.

Skyrim improves the combat system, but not by much. It is still mostly mashing a button for melee combat, which is what I meant. Maybe Im just looking at Morrowind and Oblivion with rose tinted glasses though.

Dynamithix 11-29-2011 03:15 AM

To be honest, if the combat wasn't as simple as it is in Skyrim, it'd probably just get more hate from people. Didn't Witcher 2 have a pretty tricky combat system? If I remember right, it got some really good reviews, but the only thing people were complaining about was the combat. And in my opinion, Skyrim's combat is pretty good. I wish that they would've used the Dark Messiah combat system, but this is good too.

On another note, I'm now looking for new animals in BG&E. It's a nice feeling when you spot a new creature and get lots of cash for it.

Daxter King 11-29-2011 05:48 AM

I have heard nothing but praise for The Witcher 2's combat system.

Manco 12-01-2011 01:37 PM

Just wrapped up the main storyline on Saint’s Row 2. God that’s a fucking great game, can’t believe I left it this long.

Dynamithix 12-02-2011 11:17 AM

I beat Beyond Good & Evil just a few minutes ago. I remembered wrong, I never actually beat the game originally so the ending and the final levels were completely new to me, but awesome too. The final boss was a bit tricky for me. Anyways, loved to play it again and the little clip after the credits was interesting.

Mr. Bungle 12-02-2011 01:30 PM

My friend is always going on about how amazing that game is. I should probably play it.

I've been playing through Fallout 3 and Bioshock because I'm poor and can't afford any new games (Skyrim, Arkham City). Fun.

Dynamithix 12-02-2011 01:47 PM

You should definitely get it if you're into adventure games at all. Only bad things that I noticed about it were the awful camera movement and the length of the game. You can beat it pretty quickly.

Also one thing that really bothered me in the story was that first you kinda get the feeling that... (Pretty big spoilers about the story!) ...Pey'J is your partner through out the story, but then he gets kidnapped and you won't see him 'till the very last levels. That was a bit of a bummer for me. But at least you get a new partner, Double H, who is pretty funny because of his goofiness.

CAAAARLSON AND PEEETEEERRSSS!

JennyGenesis 12-03-2011 03:18 AM

Isn't Double H that human character?

Yeah it's been a while since I played it.
