Would you tell us what it does mean?... please |
:
Yeah, looks like we are still missing something here, but at this point people are more busy looking at shadows on that piece of paper than trying to crack codes :p |

Savour this moment guys, we're about to witness brand new Oddworld content :D
|
:
;( will stay on topic! just exited :fuzzle: |
No worries, we all are
EDIT: I just noticed the oddworld.com/soulstorm site now says: :

Ah, correct about the glukkon overseer :D Looks amazing!
Notice '110110BC' vertically, far left in the dark area Also two other strings of numbers/letters; vertically next to the three lines, that looks to be possibly 100BB0BB and another horizontally, bottom right. Could be 01010BB0, or perhaps 010100BB? I can't quite tell! |

I've been having a look - I think the three number sequences we can see in the picture now are all different. One says "110110BC" - I'm absolutely certain of it Another says "010100BD" - I'm not 100% sure of the last letter and the third starts with: "100......." but then I can't make out the rest |
Hey guys, been watching this ARG since the start and wanted to congratulate you all on the first uncovering of a photo! I'm not much help to you having seen your skill levels, but I'll do my best to give my input from now on.
|
Should I bother with trying to figure out the number sequences on the photo? I dunno if they're relevant..?

Well, I had a wee go at figuring them out - the middle one is super hard to see clearly however. http://i.imgur.com/9miVwoq.jpg |
Thank you TopHattedTime, it makes things much cleared :)
Note that the Twitter accounts have been waking up:
|
I reckon that bottom right one is 010100B0. I looked at the middle one and I thought the last character could be a "G", but after reconsidering I've concluded that it looks like an "E" as you said. So for me from left to right, the strings read:
110110BC 100000BE 010100B00 |
:
|
In binary that (when I also included the 010101 from the mud in the middle's chest) Just gave this output and I doubt it means anything. Potentially trying different orders and removing the centre one? I'll mess around with it for a bit and see where I get.
|
Interestingly, when put backwards, the binary converter displayed "R", possibly the start of "Rupture Farms"? It's a chance, but again I could be merely clutching at straws here and going down the wrong road.
Anyway my input was "010100 100000 110110" which was the numbers from the right to the left, and it just outputted "R". |
Love this new HD image from OWI! And yeah, that glukkon is definite intimidating. Don't know if it's Mullock though, maybe a similar model as they already had a modern cutscene Mullock model available to modify. I would imagine Mullock would be the type to always have a cigar in his mouth and I can't see one on him. It may be a Feeco or Soulstorm Executive overseeing new workers.
On another note, with these Mudokon worker IDs, I notice all the letters in each ID are lower than F so maybe not binary, but hexadecimal which would make more sense for how many workers across Oddworld there would possibly be. The range of a six digit binary number is 64 where as a eight digit hexdecimal range is 4294967296. So: 010101BB = 16843195 110110BC = 285282492 100000BE = 268435646 010100B0 = 16842928 Don't know if I'm onto something here but it definitely makes more sense an ID system... |
