Picked up Anarchy Reigns yesterday and I started playing through the black side story first and am now on the second stage. So far I've beaten Big Bull and Blacker Baron, the boss fights are pretty fun but also hard if they get to use their killer attack combos on you first.

So, Abbey really likes Assassin's Creed 3. I don't like it as much. I feel like the gameplay is a lot more constricting than it should be for an open world game. But she loves it. Hearing "I hate you Charles Lee." and "Nooo. I don't want to kill Haitham. I love him!" is really funny.

I've been playing a lot of Gears of War 3 with my brother. It's fun, like any Gears game. Horde and Beast modes are great to play in long streches of time. I don't really play the other modes, especially not the campaign.

I've been playing Robocop vs. The Terminator, an old Gameboy game. It's awful. A real tragedy. My goodness is it a bad time.

The Civ AI always has its flaws, whether it's being too dumb or being a complete ass with regards to diplomacy (Declaring war on you every turn or making a threat each turn but never actually going through with it).

I played through and finished Anarchy Reign's campaign mode over the past few days. Surprisingly heavy story for a silly brawler game.

A mercenary and ex-soldier discovers he has a daughter living at an orphanage, and he decides to take responsiblity and adopts her. However, during a hostage situation, the girl is accidentally shot by a police special forces officer. This officer ends up going rogue and suffers from PTSD, and the mercenary ends up taking a contract where he has to find the officer and bring him back alive.

I heard it's actually just the textures from the PC version.

Did you try out the multiplayer yet? I'm almost done with the white side campaign now (started on the black side) and have yet to test it but I've heard there's some strange glitch on most of the female brawlers that you can do infinite combos and it's really ruining the matches. Oh yeah and the story is actually pretty good, gotta agree with that.

Aren't "HD" remakes for the PS3 just the same game at a different resoultion? they don't change the textures in anyway?

Never owned the PC version, so I wouldn't be able to tell either way.

Regardless, I don't own a working physical copy of the game anymore so it's nice to be able to play it again. It's still incredibly aesthetically pleasing.

Actually that's possible on most characters. And most characters can counter it.

See, they decided to make everybody OP, so nobody would or something. Oh, and to things more unpredictable they throw in all the campaign's giant robots and squids and shit to make it more of a silly toss-up.

So apparently Civilization V likes disconnecting LAN games mid-game, otherwise me and Eric would have utterly slaughtered the Siamese outright. I had the biggest army in the game as Gandhi. And we weren't even AD and had steelworking and trebuchets. He was grabbing all the wonders and all the tech as Egypt.

Hell yes I'm starting a war over you blocking my war elephants in a corner with your city borders. And you taking over our trade route by putting a city over it. You don't fuck with India.

And I normally play so passively too...

It's fun. Think 3D brawler with silly multiplayer modes in large stages.

There's a HD remake of that? do want.

Kingdoms of Amalur between Skyrim sessions. I'm not sure what to think about it. Part of the game feels really good, and another part drives me away, and I'm not so sure they're not the same. Combat is good, and the magical chakrams are one of the more unique weapons types I've seen in a fantasy RPG. I'm a real sucker for games with weapon crafting. I expect I'll have to get the new Dead Space when it arrives. Haven't played the others, but I hear this one has weapon crafting. Damn my secret desire to be a blacksmith. Or Q.

I loved all of the pre-release stuff for Amalur, but I hated the demo. It was fun enough, but the entire game felt restrictive. simply not having the minimap would have made everything feel much more open. It had lots of good brawler elements, but it wasn't a great brawler. It had lots of good RPG elements, but it wasn't a great RPG.

It was a Jack-of-all-trades kind of game.

Second runthrough of Pokemon White 2, with a deliberately shitey team. Serperior, Samurott, Emboar, Cinccino, Zoroark, Crustle. Individually they're all babies but together they're poopy

Just finished Dishonored for the first time. I managed to go through the entire game with out being seen or killing any one.

Overall the game was alright. I didn't hate it, but i didn't love it. I don't know why people went bat shit over this game.

Once upon a time I did a play through of White with a team comprised entirely of Emolga.

It was the worst decision I had ever made in my life up to that point.



Also, I've been trying to get 100% completion on every level in Rayman 3 HD since I initially posted I was playing it and I'm completely convinced it is impossible unless you are either a machine or exploiting every glitch the game has to offer. Still fun, though.

Yeah. You can get it on PSN, Xbox Live, and Steam. Not sure what else it's available on, but it's there.

There's some really odd bugs like the water doesn't seem to animate most of the time and will change into odd colours, the camera feels unruly compared to the original (from what I remember, at least.), the audio is delayed through the first play through every time you free the teensies, and Globox doesn't say anything when you punch him which is a feature I used to love. Other than that it's just as good?

If it didn't improve the original in any way, it wouldn't be worth buying. This version is actually worse. Just hunt down a disc on Amazon.

I've been playing Binding of Isaac like crazy right now. Still haven't gotten a Mom kill but I'm close.

My current play I've got Dead Sea Scrolls and Pyro, having near-infinite bombs makes boss fights sooo much easier. I'm just really nervous to fight the next one because I only have 3 hearts.

Gurdy is a cunt, I seriously hate his high HP. I wouldn't recommend D.S.S, for me it's pretty useless.

It was my first time getting it, wasn't sure what it was used for. It's not something I'd use all the time.

I love this game but it really bothers me how luck-based it is at times. Like, I just got the Kamikaze. I don't even need to use it or look it up to know it's gonna fuck me over in some way. This game is so mean.

Once you get into the groove a bit more and actually get a Mom kill you'll be finding more Devil rooms than you know what to do with. They take some of the random away at the price of hearts. Unlocking Judas and Cain is a pretty big deal for faster and more consistent runs, too. Cain especially makes it much easier to blast through the early stages with a tonne of soul hearts. Judas kills everything too quickly to bother with taking damage, plus the low HP makes you learn to dodge boss attacks. They both have good starting speed, too.

DSS is useless. My favourite held item to date is probably the Book of Belail, but that gets less useful as the game goes on and you get up towards full power.

Since figuring out what it did Luck Foot is my favourite thing ever. Pick it up whenever you can.

^ this is why I stopped posting about every single time I played Skyrim. I didn't really wanna push it and I didn't really want to necro the thread unless I had some MAJOR things to post.

Also, we actually found a friendly person in League of Legends. And I hit level 29.

We had a Skyrim thread a while back, maybe we could dig that back up or make a new one? I certainly wouldn't mind talking a bunch about it with the amount I've been playing.

Huh. I swore it was last I checked. Oh well.

And I've already bought the hd version and played through the entire game numerous times since I got it. It does look a lot nicer than the ps2 version, and it comes with an extra that lets you view the rayman origins artwork that was available in the collectors edition that was only released in Europe and Australia. I live in North America and the only money I have is the $20 psn card that I used to get Rayman 3 HD anyways.

My point is I'm not going to spend more money money that I don't even have right now on something I currently own that I'm able to play through just fine even if there's a few things off about it. If anyone has a working physical copy of the original I'd only suggest getting the HD version if you want more eye candy, and that's it because the gameplay isn't nearly as smooth.
