They never released region 2 dvd sets you know.

I am heartbroken.

OANST 11-18-2010 02:38 PM

Ha. We has 'em.

Samurai Jack. Tartakovsky is a genius.

OH GOD, I FORGOT ABOUT SAMURAI JACK. :(

I loved that show!

I just saw RED. Absolutely brilliant and over-the-top hilarious. Would recommend to anyone who isn't a pussy.

You're not a pussy, are you?

Dynamithix 11-19-2010 09:03 AM

I might watch it next weekend. My dad wants to see it.

EDIT: Just finished watching A Nightmare on Elm street remake and it was pretty much what I expected. Predictable deaths and cliché one-liners from Freddy.

Meh, it was a watchable movie. One really annoying thing about the movie was the goddamn song. Here's some better lyrics for it:

One two, Freddy cums on you
Three four, better clean it up, whore
Five six, Freddy sucks his own dick
Seven eight, he also masturbates
Nine ten, he does it all over again

Phylum 11-19-2010 06:30 PM

I've been watching lots of the A-Team latley. I feel sorry for anyone that tries to take it seriously. The villans always capture them and leave them in rooms full of scraps or broken down cars that they turn into automatic weapons and fix respectivley.

It's fucking great.

People take the show seriously? Just about everyone I've seen always enjoyed it for what it was, a live action cartoon where Mr. T and his sidekicks fire off tons of ammo, never killing anyone, and doing completely ridiculous stuff with random junk. Shame they never crossed over with MacGyver.

that's pretty much what the original Freddy films are all about. if you don't like the cliché one-liners or even the song, which is like Freddy's signature, you won't like the films. its one of those movies where you need to just enjoy it for what it is.

personally, i quite like the Freddy Krueger films.

lismati 11-20-2010 04:23 AM

Yesterday I watched "The Social Network", great movie, that moment when in court somebody asked Zuckerberg "Do you even listen to me?", and he said "No, Good drawing?" was pretty epic.

OANST 11-20-2010 06:26 AM

I'll probably see that when it comes On Demand. I love Aaron Sorkin.

scrabface 11-20-2010 07:41 AM

I have just seen X-men Origins: Wolverine
and I was surprised how bad and uninteresting this movie and the whole plot was. I mean I really didn't expect much, I even expected a bad movie, but not such fucking whore bad movie. baaaah I am so angry I watched that shit!

OANST 11-20-2010 07:45 AM

The Wolverine will be much better. It's a reboot that's being directed by Darren Aronofsky. There's almost no possible way that it won't be worth watching.

Daxter King 11-20-2010 07:48 AM

Saw Due Date the other week, thought it was really funny.

Mac Sirloin 11-20-2010 07:53 AM

I started watching the second season of The Wire because I'm really slow at dramas. On the other hand, we have all five seasons.

I really dig the Tom Waits (Well, original) version of Way Down in The Hole. Suits the filthy docks very well. The taunting that Sobotka (Dock worker) gives to Valchek (Goddamn police Lieutenant or captain or something) in that lobby or whatever it was was pretty damn cool. This show is so damn good.

I also spoiled a bunch of assumedly really cool stuff that takes place in the last few episodes of season 1 for myself because I forgot I hadn't finished it.

And yes, OANST, I can't wait to get to Season 4.

Bullet Magnet 11-20-2010 07:54 AM

I really couldn't get over the floating mountains. Or the facts that the Na'vi clearly didn't evolve from the world's animal stock.

And the way Greggs and McNulty shoot down the Bug Panther Dog was really cool too hey wait a second

On the subject of Avatar, has anyone watched it on DVD or Blu ray or whatever yet? How is it?

Strike Witch 11-20-2010 08:00 AM

I have it on DVD. watched it on a HDMI-equipped TV with an Xbox. Shit's fine, just as clear as the film. If anything, a smaller screen makes it slightly sharper. When I watched Avatar in the cinema in 3D, I felt exhausted after it because they packed so much detail into every scene that even in the mellow moments so much was going on. With the DVD, there's much less screen to cover so It's easier to just go with the flow.

Season 4 of The Wire is the best television I have ever seen, and I don't expect to ever see anything better. It's too good.

scrabface 11-20-2010 08:05 AM

Darren Aronofsky huh? that sounds promising

One thing I never understood about Avatar was why those things had to be so ugly? the props are wrong in so many ways and those horse faces? wth? I still think they tried to avoid the Uncanny Valley.

Bullet Magnet 11-20-2010 08:32 AM

I saw Skyline. Total nonsense. Entertaining nonsense, but not exactly brilliant film making.

Nemo 11-20-2010 08:41 AM

Human Centipede. I don't know why, or if it was worth it. I feel molested by it.

lismati 11-20-2010 09:05 AM

I just saw first episode of House M.D. 7, great one, and whole season will be great (I think).

Mac Sirloin, why did you change your avatar for 4th time today?

Dynamithix 11-20-2010 02:18 PM

Just finished watching Prince of Darkness for the 3rd time. A great movie.

Mr. Bungle 11-20-2010 05:48 PM

I saw the new Harry Potter movie. I enjoyed it, but it dragged on for too long. Other than the fucking hour of them walking around and doing next to nothing relevant to the plot, it was pretty good. I'll see the next one for sure.

Slag? 11-20-2010 05:50 PM

Damnit, I'm about to go see that in like fifteen minutes.

Don't give anything away or I will Send you a rabid raccoon in a box.

EDIT: Right, Just saw RED. Laughed my arse off. Then the guy behind me said you lost your arse. Now I'm embarrassed.

Wow so they really were book accurate.

Mr. Bungle 11-20-2010 05:56 PM

Pretty much, yeah.

Emesdee 11-21-2010 12:24 AM

Popped in Return of the Jedi out of boredom. Big mistake, because it just makes me wish the Emperor was the villain in all the movies. Darth Vader's just not as awesome as a cackling old man who shoots lightning from his fingertips.

scrabface 11-21-2010 02:41 PM

I have just seen Splice. and there are a lot of wth moments. end was predictable and all the guys in this movie look like emos
