a labour of love, i'm sure. |

Besides 4mat (Intense), I'd recommend Brother Android (Chilled), Infinity Shred née Starscream (Screamy) and SoulEye (Cheery). Cyriak Harris, who you'll doubtless remember from his cow videos, also produces all of his own music. Each to their own, of course. Also consider checking out 8-bit Collective when they come back online. You may remember Brother Android from "The song I want played at my funeral". He did a concept album based on the sensations of winter. These are twinkling stars in a frozen sky... See, it is an art form. |
I dunno if this counts as chiptune, but it's pretty sweet stuff. |
That new Animal Collective song I posted now has a video. Cringe, and enjoy.
They still dont top Die Antwoord in creepyness and cringe-worthiness when it comes to musicvideos.
Well, of course not. Die Antwoord is terror incarnate.
Gave me nightmares :(
Although, the Who Could Win a Rabbit video by Animal Collective is pretty fucking creepy. As is the Peacebone video.
New Madeon.
New Converge. I highly doubt anyone here likes Converge, or even this kind of music at all, but what the hell. Posting anyways. |

Why? From what I hear, it's not like... extremely bad
Have you lost your fucking mind?
Quite a while ago. Still, it's not unbelievably bad.
Ohhhh, yes it is. It was pretty goddamn bad.
Wow, I couldn't even get past the first 30 seconds... It's like Owl City. Fuck, man.
I don't know, I thought it was ok.
This is the last time I post any ToP, I promise.
I really recommend finding the album version of this one somewhere. The barri sax is amazing and Lenny Williams does the vocals like a truly stereotypical Black Man. |
Everyone should listen to this. It's a real feel good song. |
DELAYED EDIT: MA, I forgot Trash80.
Has this been posted here yet? The song starts around 2:30.

But wait! There's more!

So, I picked up the new Animal Collective album yesterday, (yes, I'm one of those people that still go to the store, and buys cd's). I really like it, but those of you who don't care for Today's Supernatural, (the recent AC song I posted) may not. It is an extremely busy, and noisy album. And not in the way that Merriweather Post Pavilion was noisy. There is just a lot going on in each song, and not all of what's happening necessarily compliments the other sounds. This gives the album a hectic feel that kind of speaks to T-Nex's comment about the song stressing her out. I like it better than Merriweather, but I don't like it as much as Strawberry Jam or Feels. Anyway, I recommend it with a caution that it isn't an extremely accessible or melodic album, and that it's nothing like previous AC records, but if you've been listening to AC for any amount of time then you already know that not being anything like their previous albums makes it exactly like their previous albums, and that they have always been more interested in experimenting with sound than being really melodic.

I don't think I've ever bought a non-physical album. I've downloaded free albums (and actual free, not naughty free). |
I think it's become less common than just downloading, whether legally, or illegally. The fact that every record store within 50 miles of me has closed down is what I'm basing this on. I went to Barnes and Noble's to buy this. Most things I have to order on the internet.
New AnCo is out now? I gotta get on that shit. I thought the few pre-release songs were pretty great.
Charlie hates this song. I love it. |
Run!
Probably the hundredth time I'm posting this here but don't care, it's always great. Oh yeah and some Beastie Boys too to start off the Friday evening. |
