Recently... I'm playing this puzzlegame called 4 Elements. It's one of those games that you find on several Online Game sites where you can buy them for a small amount of money. It reminds me a bit of Bejewelled but is much much more fun Imo. The gameplay is a bit different and you don't really swap bricks. But I find the game to be a nice lil thing that's kinda of relaxing when I need it to be.

I actually really like those obscure puzzlegames like Luxor or Atlantis or The Lost City Of gold. It's got mediocre music and mediocre graphics, but there's something really charming about em :)

The dlc for Costume Quest is out now. It's 400 points. I haven't played it yet, but I'll be getting it tonight.

Got Dragon Age origins, not really enjoying it right now, though I barely started, I can tell I dont really like the combat. Im tempted to just trade it in now, so I can delete it from my gamerscore, and get Just Cause 2 or Prototype.

The combat takes some getting used to, but it's a pretty fun game if you just set it to easy, and enjoy everything else.

Although, the inventory system is fucking bullshit.

Just when I was happy with my loadout... Now I want a Buffalo Steak Sandvich and a Jag.

Played the demo of Costume Quest. Got bored. Not gonna bother with the full version.

Just bought the Deathspank sequel Thongs of Virtue and intend to use the dullness of Christmas (when everyone I normally hang out with are stuck with their family) to get in to that.

I have dusted off the 360 and am playing Tales of Vesperia.

Also planning to get a 360 game or a couple of arcade games. Suggestions?

For arcade games, I'd highly recommend Braid, Limbo and Super Meat Boy. They're probably the three best xbox live arcade games out there.

I just spent around 30 minutes walking through the desert below the Gold Saucer before quitting. I did fight a little green thing that gave 10,000 gil when defeated, so it wasn't a complete waste.

I thought about the Caber. It's like the Equalizer taunt made into a weapon. Better than the Eyelander, would you say? Bear in mind I die pretty quickly anyway, so something that almost kills me is probably less restrictive than something that takes 10 kills to power up...

The Caber is only really good for dicking around or in emergencies. It doesn't crit normally (But it will with the Chargin' Targe) and the base damage is only enough to kill non-overhealed 125's. Minicrits do something like 183 and outright Crits do 300. The bomb on it can only be refilled by an ammo closet or respawning, too, so if you're using it there's a lot of going back and forth.

I briefly had the Candy Cane, then got a drop saying I'd found another one. I think I traded one of them and the other just disappeared. I also got the JAG, Claidhomer or whatever and The Medic's crossbow, though I traded the JAG. The Crossbow could be worse, but it feels like it fires/reloads just an nth too slowly. I mean, a crossbow bolt would logically go faster than an arrow, right?

Listening to people talk about playing TF2 on the pc is about the only thing that could get me to start playing on one.

Playing Super Meat Boy. Either this game is nowhere near as hard as I have been led to believe or I have to face the shocking realisation that I may actually be good at a video game.

It is pretty great. The absolute worst thing about it is the community, though. Like, I've played with obnoxious people before but TF2 players take the cake.

However, a lot of them are really accommodating to new players and the Updates Valve releases are rad as hell (except for the Hats). People who trade have the worst business sense in the world, though.
The only practical use for the Caber outside of dickery is if you have The Sticky Jumper, as you don't take damage from the explosion itself, but that also sacrifices use of the Targe, which is key to actually killing anything that isn't a wary Scout, Spy or Sniper. Engineers are actually kind of hard to hit because they're slightly shorter. Really.

You'd be better off with the Eyelander or Horseless Headless Horsemann's axe for actual legit melee usage.

How far are you? It doesn't start to get really challenging until around world 4 or 5, at least, in my experience.
