Also, not all Mudokons are capable of possession. Sam has many other skills that are important for queening; it's possible that chanting would be left to her children.

But I have a aother question! Why do some Sligs walk in Paramonia and in Scrabania? What must they do there? |
They might be out scouting for any remaining Paramites and Scrabs to be caught, or they got lost from previous hunts.

I think I asked this once or someone else did it... but I want to ask it! In a MO's newspaper there is an article that tells about the reopening of RuptureFarms. In the game I know it doesn't appear, but will it be mentioned in the future? |
I think the only answer here is: "Probably".
|
I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but is it possible to get 20,000 Moolah in Stranger's Wrath? If it has been asked before, sorry.

It very easy to get over 20 000 Moolah. I’ve done it several times. But please, GlacierDragon, remember there is an F.A.Q.. It already had the answer to your question.

Oh, sorry about. Thanks anyway.

This isn't a question, but rather, an observation concerning 1%ers. I don't think it really warrants creating a new thread, however. Apologies if this connection was previously established (search feature didn't work for me), but:
I've never seen this explained (although I did just notice that the Oddworld Encyclopedia's Oddworld FAQ does mention that 1%ers are bikers), but having recently started reading Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels, I finally made a connection in terms of the origin of their (nick?)name: "This compact description of rancid, criminal sleaziness is substantially correct except for the hocus-pocus about the one percenters. All Angels wear this patch, as do most other outlaws, and all it means is that they are proud to be part of the alleged one percent of bike riders whom the American Motorcycle Association refuses to claim." -Thompson, Hell's Angels, pg. 8 The "biker" description certainly matches the concept art (here - despite the "meetle," this is the only concept art of a 1%er that we've caught a glimpse of, if I'm not mistaken), given the leather jacket / overall menacing disposition, as well as the whole 1%er business. According to what little I've read so far, the Hell's Angels were/are pretty notorious for wholly embracing their status as "outlaws," and many members participate in committing all sorts of lewd and obscene acts of violence and sexual abuse. I'm guessing Oddworld's 1%ers follow suite - probably ten-fold. "We're the one percenters, man - the one percent that don't fit and don't care. [...] We've punched our way out of a hundred rumbles, stayed alive with our boots and our fists. We're royalty among motorcycle outlaws, baby." -Thompson (quoting a member), Hell's Angels, pg. 3 I can only imagine what a motorcycle on Oddworld must look like.... |
The 1%er may be atop one.
|
sounds like you have found something there... thanks for the heads up
|
It’s good to have you back, KintoKid. You’re certainly not the first to spot the parallels with the name, but it’s not a connection anyone might spot. I think it was my dad who first alerted me to the similarity.

I know this is a little late, but that's so sad that Stranger's an orphan! So if he grew up without parents, did he take care of himself or did someone else raise him?:fuzconf:
|
Well, if Steef are wildlife, he probably took care of himself. What's that dripping noise in Mudomo?
|
You could be a little more precise you know, ms1029. If you told us properly then I might be able to tell you.
ABM |
Yeah, but even scorpions need their mums to protect them when they're little and defenseless. I'm assuming the same applies to steefs.

|
Obviously steef and scorpions are very similar creatures

Dear Lorne told us
|
By that I meant that even (the cue word is even) an arachnid that grows up very quickly needs some care in its youth. Mammals take a lot longer to grow up and require a lot more care than insects and arachnids do. This leads me to think someone must have taken care of Stranger in his early days. Assuming, of course, that he is indeed a mammal.:fuzzle:
|
Ever heard of feral children?
|
:
Orphan could mean at only a few years old, but by 4 or 5 (equivalent) age, he may be able to take care of himself anyway, possibly taught, but perhaps not. Also, probably be easier for him than human, due to (guessing) more herbiverous diet perhaps, and that he may have been able to walk and run at an earlier age, comparable to animals such as reindeer and wildebeest, able to run usually within 24 hours of birth. Raised by animals for a short period may be plausible, however, assumign that's what BM meant. We just don't know enough about his personal background, or certain facts about Steef to make an especially acurate assumption. |
I hope Lorne gives us some answers soon.:fuzzle:

In the Magog Motors (I think, I don't remember well) there is a screen that shows an old movie, that was a clip of the old version of MO if memory serves me right. So, what does it mean in Munch's Oddysee for XBOX?
|
Easteregg, according to some of the Inhabitants...
|

OWI made that movie to prove the quality of the footage they were expecting to produce for MO and later games. The designer for that level found that he had some system memory spare and decided to put the video in as a bonus for the fans.
