Also, Crash Bash's one boss was the Komodo bros in some sort of bunker and tanks I think. It also had 'The Bearminator', a huge polar bear in a submarine. I was always so nervous when I got to that part that I screwed it up and then I quit the game and we didn't even have a memory card back then. *sigh* Good times.

I bet OANST likes the new Crash. :tard:
Have they stopped making them yet? Last I heard of was Mind Over Mutant, a sort of Crash of the Titans jobbie.
There's supposed to be one coming this year, Crash Bandicoot: Shadow of the Crime.
Though, it will be utter shit because it's developed by Radical. They only made one OK Crash game and that was Crash Tag Team Racing in 2006. |

Unfortunately both the Crash and Spyro series have slowly been dying; it's a shame, they both had fantastic roots but now they're laughably bad. |
The new Spyro games aren't as bad as the new Crash games imo, I have the Spyro 'reboot' for the original Xbox and it's pretty good actually.
My problem with the Spyro reboot is it's not even a Spyro game anymore - they took everything that made the originals classics, threw it away and built up some "epic" story full of dull characters and beat-em-up combat.
If you're going to reboot a game franchise, at least stick to what made it good in the first place. |

Gonna play Crash Bandicoot WARPED cause of you guys, thanks a lot.
Also Spyro 1 was the only good spyro game. I never liked all the sidekicks and cutscenes they put in afterwards. I guess that's a poor reason since the core gameplay is the same (and improved) but it just felt wrong to me. Now spyro is a god of war clone so I guess I have no right to complain. EDIT: I also tried to play through Crash 2 months ago after not doing so for years. It's amazing how easy I found it. When I was a kid, I could barely pass the third level. Then again the game always froze for me when I got up to world 2 back then. |
:
A little world-building adds a lot to a game. |
I'd play Crash 3 right now if my father wasn't hogging up the PS3 with Dead Space 2.
:
I realize that my opinion isn't the popular one and to have make spyro 2 more like spyro 1 would be really dumb of insomniac. |
All the talk of CTR made me want to play that, but it looks like it's the only game missing from my old collection.
Interestingly enough, searching for "crash team racing" on eBay brings up results for CTR and Tag Team Racing - the average price difference between the two is hilariously indicative of their quality. EDIT: :
I just now remembered that I sold my Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing to my friend a few years ago. Damn it! I might have to buy them back from him. :/
I never sell my games. As a result I still have Donald Duck Quack Attack for the PS2.
I never sell my games either, but I still managed to lose a big chunk of my collection somehow.
Incidentally, never let friends borrow your games just before you move house/country. |
I never rent my games to any of my friends unless they'll let me rent one of their games that I really do want to play. Otherwise, no chance. Even though they're my friends I'm always a bit anxious that what if they break the cover? The disc doesn't work after they return it? Oh the tragedy.
I used to sell games a bunch, but I always end up regeretting it. Even if it's a bad game I still end up having the urge to play it at times.
I hate to admit it, but I'm that guy that ended up "borrowing" a game from a friend and never gave it back because of moving. It doesn't worry me too much though cause he doesn't really care about that stuff anymore. |
The only games I've ever regretted selling are Katamari Damacy, Silent Hill 3 and ICO.
You sold Ico? You big stupid.
I regretted it about a week or so later.
I can't wait for the re-release with Shadow of the Colossus later this year. It will give me a reason to use my PS3.
I will bully my flatmate into buying it, along with their new one.
If you didn't continuously buy and sell games since you were twelve, you don't know SHIT about video games.
I am woefully uneducated on video games.
:
A selfish prick who never loses his games.
I would happily lend anyone one of my PS2 games as long as it isn't Jade Cocoon 2.
I still have countless (100+) hours left before I even come close to finishing it 100% Mt PS3 games are a different matter. They're all fairly new. :
:
I've sold just about every game I've ever owned because I'm not a well off person by any means.
My brothers sell my games. I lost Left for Dead 2, Dragon Age, Bioshock 2, FFX, FFVII and Call of Duty 4 and 5 (not a big loss I admit.)

Played Mata Nui Online Game (MNOLG) due to nostalgia. Yeah, turns out my rose-tinted glasses must have been about 2 inches thick. |
:
He better not do the same to Tekken 6 or Mass Effect 2. |
So I finally completed all 3 of the PS1 Spyro games.
The Spyro 3 epilogue ends with the message: "Thanks for playing. We'll miss you." I feel all emotional now. I think part of my childhood just died. :( |
I thought I was up-to-date with web games, But That Was Yesterday.
Beautiful, if you can understand what it all means. |
