If your sleeping room isn't sealed off from the outside this can still happen, even if it's actually impossible for mobs to enter normally.
Also, sometimes caverns can set off the death-bed glitch. (I just wanted to give it a cool name.) |
Hey, it's me again, with more mods for this game I don't play. What would you do without me?
This mod is interesting and something similar will probably end up in the game, but the video is very dull. Watch it on fast forward or something. Just when you start to understand pistons... Pumps! Pipes! Sponges! How can you have a rustic survival game without rope? Also, zipwires. This video is far more exciting, featuring explosions. |
Mods have improved since I stopped playing SSP. Better Than Wolves look amazing.
That rope mod looks fantastic, I hope Notch ends up adding it to the vanilla game.
I would LOVE the rope mod. I really wished Minecraft had the rope bridges. I wanted to use em for a little project, but it's on hold, cos wood bridges just dont make up for it :(
Rope would be handy in the Aether which, by the way, has been released. I recommend you all go and try it.
You mean a mod has been released, right? Let's not confuse mods with official releases.
But yeah, the rope mod is awesome. Shooting a rope arrow and then rappeling down a cliff is a definition of cool travel for me. |
Would be nice to have sponges back.
You're a sponge.
Spongebob.
I have the brain of a sponge. Always absorbing new information! Unfortunately, my sponge is really small and reached maximum capacity years ago. =P
Wring it out and start over.
I love that game! its so good!!!!!!
And you thought me building Rupture Farms was insane. These guys have built Middle Earth. In Minecraft.

@42 minutes, the lighting is staggering!

The Yogscast are doing some livestreaming, and they're also going to try and break the server record again (i.e. the one they set a few weeks ago).
Livestream's here: http://www.twitch.tv/yogscast They're mostly dicking around on Teamspeak right now. e: they've opened the floodgates, server IP is two.yogiverse.com:9001 |
I bet 90% of all rope bridges built are strung out over lava.
That's what I would do...It would be safer than jumping over and having lag all the damn time.
Anyways, I was screwing around, and found a shitton of seeds. Here are some that were posted with amazing screencaps. -992366569 - this one has big chunks of floating land. The pics were amazing. 756500353497521162 - This one had chunk errors. Gimme Diamonds - Turn around, epic cave troll - Turn around, epic cave Resources - literally has EVERYTHING around you 1122822517 - cool terrain Banana Dick - resources 8===D - has awkward mountains. And this other one, leave blank for a random seed, is apparantly epic, but I can't figure out why. |

Me, Splat and Dripik do Lurler's old adventure map, "Forgotten Temple". Half an hour of Minecraft. Yay.
EDIT: Oh and BTW I've watched other people's runs of the same map - We're not the only ones who thought of Portal when we got to the "Momentum" part. :P |

No creepers ever look as terrifying as the blocky, Minecraft versions. It's odd.
With the teeth showing, it's almost like as if it was smiling. Could work as an easter egg enemy in some modern survival horror game, I suppose.
Yeah, I think the face isn't nearly as scary as it could have been. But the body... good God, something about it freaks me out.
How do they mate?
The only possible answer to that is 'rampantly'.
Possibly the female vomits eggs and the male vomits sperm on them, like fish with the wrong orifice. Better question would be what on Earth is the benefit of a violently self-destructive attack method (note difference between attack and defence). I think the face could be better, but I like the concept. I think the key to it is that it looks like it might once have been human. Hence body horror, hence creepy. |
I hate it and like it at the same time. I like my version better, but then again, so does every other conceited artist.
Oh god thats creepy :tard:

I've been a bit bored with Minecraft lately. I tried the Aether and really liked it, but I was continually dying and bored with building huge bridges between places because Moas rarely ever lay eggs so I decided to try the Yogbox.
If you're bored with Minecraft, get the Yogbox. It's great. The mods add more ores, items, monsters and NPC villages. I'm yet to start trading with villages (I'm currently at Winter in the seasons mod, which has made me stay inside for everything but woodcutting journeys) but that looks like it could be a nice way to shake off some excess cobblestone. The RPG mod adds stats that increase as you do things, such as walking and mining. I'm currently walking 7% faster than I was when I first downloaded the mod. The only annoying thing with that so far is that I have 14 diamond, but I'm 15 crafting levels off of making diamond tools. Some of the additions are a bit iffy and it completely skews the balance of the game into your favour, but I'm enjoying Minecraft again. |
