A question to our veterans: when at the ending of Abe's Exoddus even though you saved all the Mudokons Abe says that other friends are still out enslaved (and in the clip there in fact some Mudokons in the jail), who is reffering to if I saved them all?!?!?!??!
|
I've always thought that they were just enslaved Mudokons in another part of Oddworld that we haven't been to separate to the 399 Abe has saved so far.
And I think when Abe says "we're going to find them" it's a cliffhanger, it shows us that his mission isn't over and thus making the player know that the series isn't finished. |
Yes, what Crashpunk said. There are more than 399 enslaved Mudokons in all of Mudos.
|
But we can clearly see that those Mudokons are in the same jail where there were the others of the clip at the end of the first CD (when Phleg was giving them SoulStorm Brew)... weren't those Mudokons supposed to work in Necrum Mines, SoulStorm Brwery or in other facilities of Abe's Exoddus? Or is it possible that they were scrubs in... Munch's Oddysee??
|
That first jail was out in the middle of the desert, near a Mudokon encampment. That's where the Glukkons set up shop to trick the Muds in to slavery. It's not in any facility.
As to whether the two jails are the same; the first one had wooden walls, but the jail in the Good Ending FMV looks like it has stone walls. They look similar, but they're clearly different jails. |

Abe's stitches.
Why does Abe have stitches on his mouth. Is it a Rupture Farms rule they cannot talk. Or was he born with it. I know I sound stupid but I'm just wondering. Cos he can still talk so whats the point. Someone explain please? :fuzconf:
|
Abe got the stitches when he was a baby. They put the stitches on him because he cried a lot. Eventually, the stitches worn out and became loose. So now he can talk.
|
Oh really. Well his parents are cruel. They never took them off?
|
Oh holy fuck...

I sound like such a noob. But if he has a royal parent why is he in Rupture Farms?
|
It's more like Ant Queen than royality
|
Ah.

Seriously. What's your problem? |
Chill out, I don't actually give a flying fuck, which I why I left the post so gapingly vacant. I don't have a problem, this is a Q & A thread after all, when I do, I'll let you know, thanks so much for your concern.
|
Well, pretending to be condescending to someone who won't know any better is better than actually being condescending... I guess?

Pssh, I have my own devilish twist of patented arse hole. XD
|
Scrabtrapman, you've done it before.
Don't do it again. You know what I mean. |
Eh, you ruin my fun, MM.
I do have a question actually, fortunately...in the AO menu screen, with Abe's head, he's surrounded by, what I presume to be tribal hieroglyphs, or pictograms, or something. Any way, I've identified most of them, but I was wondering if anyone knew what the ones I can't work out are..are? Using http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtqsThM41jc and going clockwise from bottom left to bottom right I have: 1 elum 2 ? 3 ? (vyker or glukkon?) 4 mudokon 5 scrab 6 slog 7 ? 8 slig 9 paramite Ta. |
3. Is more likely a glukkon imo
|
Yeah, definitely a Glukkon. Not sure about the other two, though. 2 looks kind of like a fish skeleton or some kind of eye-tripod, 7 looks like an armless Chronicler or a Gloktigi. I'm pretty sure those races didn't even exist (at least in any form we'd recognise) at the time of AO's development, though, so it's probably neither.
No Meeches anywhere, either :( |
