Metal Gear Solid titles make a lot more sense when I remember that, you know, Japan.

Nate 12-10-2013 09:17 PM

This looks cool:

MGS was "pseudo hard sci-fi", but after MGS4, it got more like a soap drama than anything. I really hope this one changes that.

Varrok 12-12-2013 01:32 AM

Nah, it was always like that.

Audiosurf on crack. Looks fun.

Job McYossie 03-10-2014 01:20 PM

Thumper looks great. The other game just took the re-size idea from an online game that's been out there for years. That, or they had the same idea and don't know of the other game.

MeechMunchie 03-10-2014 10:23 PM

Prey had portals before Portal did. There's a lot more to a concept than just getting there first.

Phylum 03-10-2014 11:18 PM

I was a bit disappointed that things only seem to scale in all directions. They only really use the mechanic in one way, where it could be much more interesting. It's on my watch list, but it's a fair way off of my buy list.

Nate 03-11-2014 02:17 AM

It's only a tech demo. I think they're a fair way off their sell list. I imagine they'll have to come up with a few more mechanics in that time, too.

I don't really get what Thumper is, other than epilepsy-bait.

Phylum 03-11-2014 02:57 AM

Fair point. I think the length of the video set my mechanic expectations too high. I didn't think they'd manage 7 minutes of doing almost the exact same thing.

A racing/rhythm game. Like Audiosurf, if they actually focused on challenging and varied gameplay over the music interpretation gimmick.

Varrok 03-11-2014 01:29 PM

It's a ll fine, but I'd be more hyped to play Bad Golf or Eating Simulator.

OANST 03-11-2014 01:46 PM

Those would be awesome, but this is their first sequel, and the first one was a lot of fun. This one will be fleshed out a lot, with much deeper mechanics, and gameplay from what I hear.

Varrok 03-11-2014 03:00 PM

I think they won't even mention in the sequel that crappy cliffhanger which was the ending of the first/last DLC to Costume Quest.

EDIT: Cancelled Crash Team Racing Sequel

Yay simultaneous PC release

EDIT: Cancelled Crash Team Racing Sequel

Why would you put this in Upcoming Game Releases and get our hopes up like that?

Varrok 03-12-2014 03:45 AM

It was upcoming, at some point

Crashpunk 03-12-2014 05:58 AM

There was also a platformer intended to be a reboot named Crash Landed in 2010.

Shame. I thought it looks promising.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again. I just wish someone rebooted that franchise with a remake of the first one. Give it the New 'N' Tasty treatment.

MeechMunchie 03-12-2014 09:14 AM

The best part? It's going to be released in disguise.

The point of the original Frog Fractions was that on the surface, it looked like a rubbish edutainment game. Now that Frog Fractions is so notorious, the sequel will have a completely different front; title and all. Backers won't get their copy until a few months after release, so until then, literally any indie game released after the Kickstarter ends could really be Frog Fractions 2.

Ridg3 03-26-2014 04:32 AM

For all the PC guize; You can pre-order Dark Souls II for less than £20.

You're welcome and you have no excuses.

... you have no excuses.

What about disinterest?

Ridg3 03-26-2014 05:24 AM

Still no excuse.

Vyrien 03-26-2014 06:07 AM

I've already preordered the Black Armour Edition on ShopTo, can't wait to see the delicious graphics and lighting, as well as play with all my PC comrades from the first game.

Manco 03-28-2014 03:46 PM

April 1st, assholes

MeechMunchie 03-29-2014 07:01 AM

The gooey blob cometh

DarkHoodness 03-31-2014 05:44 AM

I like the sound of the concept behind This War of Mine, I hope they pull it off well.

FTL: Faster Than Light's Advanced Edition now has a release date of April 3rd. Free upgrade for owners of the original game. Also, they're releasing it on iPad.

Job McYossie 03-31-2014 06:32 AM

I cant wait for FTL AE, it's a wonderful thing when original owners get bonuses.

MeechMunchie 04-01-2014 03:36 PM

Fanboys, start your squealing.

OANST 04-02-2014 08:54 AM

I don't know what that is.

I don't know what that is.

It's a computer game based on a nerdy basement-RPG game

MeechMunchie 04-03-2014 09:21 AM

No, it's .

OANST 04-03-2014 09:39 AM

I don't know what that is.
