Would be pointless. I don't use Quicksave much on it these days just because I know every nook and cranny of the game. Obviously on the first playthrough I used it alot because I didn't know what danger there was going to be on the next screen.

Well we were going off-topic when the discussion about Quiksave came in.

Anyway, the problem I'm hving currently is
1. I can't find my level, I don't know where I put it. Hopefully I'll find it or I'll have to start with Path 1 again.
2. Paul's Editor suddenly won't open.
3. I'm learning how to Photoshop to improve the current cams.

Maybe the atmosphere in Oddworld wouldn't allow the radioactive cloud travel such a distance?...I don't know. We could say that this is the Mudokon's last resort before the Glukkons destroy all of Oddworld's wildlife, with the Magog Cartel. Perhaps the Mudokons heard that the Glukkons planned to destroy everything for their own benefits...Anyway, I'll come up with some sort of extreme storyline or situation that would make this level work. :)

I already have some good ideas for the level structure.

It probably will be, basically:
- Go through 10-15 screens to begin with, as an introduction to the level and its .CAMs.
- Reach a hub with 3 doors, each one having about 5-10 difficult screens. Each door would lead to a lever.
- Once all three levers are pulled, a door would open (like in all Hubs).
- This door would lead to an area where Abe would pull a lever, then have to escape before the two minute timer runs out.

I have a good idea of what all of the areas would be called, and what each lever would actually do to the reactor - but I won't give that away yet. You'll find out when you play the level. :)

So, I've planned the basic idea out, I just need to:

- Plan out the actual screens themselves (this won't take long).
- Make the .CAMs for the level.
- Put both together, and hopefully produce the finished level with Paul's Level Editor (thanks Paul :)).

However:

- I'm still busy for the next week with exams, and will be busy at times during the summer (with holidays etc.).
- I'm not very good at making .CAMs (so it would take a while), but I do want to make my own.
- I would prefer to wait until Paul has released his new editor version 0.7 (that has a grid-lock for Collision Items), so making the level would be much simpler and better - but if he doesn't release it in the next 2-3 weeks, then I'll use v0.6.

I want to have completed the level by the end of July - before I go on holiday (or 'vacation' if you're American ;)), so don't expect anything until then. But after I've finished my exams, I'll post updates and .CAMs and stuff, so you'll get a better idea of when I'll actually finish it - hopefully before the end of July. :)

As there haven't been any levels posted in a while I thought I would post a relatively quick level that I made.

This level was made in a different style compared to my previous levels, one of the differences is that you can actually save all the mudokons you come accross ;)

Unfortunately, my level might never get finished because I've been too busy. It's not school or homework or anything this time, it's because I'm doing quite a lot of projects that take a lot of time.

Also, Reverie (a 32 level mod for Doom II) just came out, and it's amazing. So, it's also taken a lot of time up. :p

Just finished zulag 2 and the edited parts of zulag 1; I must say the difficulty was incredible. The only glaring flaw IMO is that you should've visually indicated where the edited part of Zulag 1 ended (don't know paths 18,19,20 by heart), but apart from that nice work!

What's MUGEN?

A fighting game engine mainly used to use characters from different games to fight each other. Usually tends to be based off of street fighter but there's a full exe called Mortal Kombat Project which is basically just a heap of recoloured ninjas.

Anyway, I think Abe in M.U.G.E.N is a weird idea but go for it if you want.

Ok guys, I'm really sorry for the long wait without posting anything here for a while...I'm afraid that I have to disappiont you, regarding the level that I said that I would make... :/ My computer has been glitchy recently, and I haven't really been able to do any work unfortunately, and I've only just got back from holiday aswell. Also, I really don't think I have the skills to be able to make such a complex level, as much as I'd love to make it... I'm sorry!

However, if anyone is willing to make me some .CAMs for the level, or any other level planning for me, then do feel free! I don't expect you to - I would just welcome anyone else to use my ideas. :)

I haven't played on the two most recent levels yet! I'll play them though, and add them to my other thread. :) Thanks guys.

It's sad to see this part of the forum has gone stale! I really enjoyed seeing all the variations this game's wonderful fan base came out with. Fingers crossed it will pick back up soon when some of the more skilled level creators have some spare time, and I can get back to enjoying your fantastic work. I've been working on a level for a while now, and it should be uploaded shortly.. so keep your eyes peeled Odd fans. ;)

I'm currently working on a Zulag 3 variation, I'm just stuck with a stupid problem, each times a Scrab explodes on a mine, it just respawn where it was when I leave the screen... -_-' may be finished soon.

Seriously, I come here few times each day but no one posts... and I'm a little bit late on my BG objects... sorry for this. :l

As You could remember I've been working on a mod for Abe's oddysee. I'm a seldom guest here and I haven't much time to work on these levels but I've made some new CAMs after all and plan to make some more.

In the demo I've released several months earlier Your goal was to disengage an electrical arc barrier and enter a Glukkon facility. The new area I'm working on is the chemical factory's interior. Here's a pair of screenshots:

Here's my Zulag 3 variation. If you begin from my Stockyard Escape variation and enter the secret area, you can try the alternate path (beta)... There may be some modifications coming later with Zulag 4 so....

I'm currently uploading a little RF2 video walkthrough ^^, and yeah, maybe sometime puzzle's difficulty is OVER 9000. Tricks like jumping over slogs, sligs, use alarms to shut down electric walls, hidden mines.... ;P
