I haven't, but I would like to read it one day.

Watch the movie, at the very least. It's one of those rare cases where the film makers really did capture the tone and intent of the book. It's not so much a book about a psycho killer as it is a book about everything that the author feels is wrong with our country.
|
It's a good movie.
|
Just a shame it's not music.
Please don't kill me. |

I can't embed them, but you should watch this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1mSJpOBXFU |
How do you guys feel about the new Rammstein album? If you're into that sorta thing.
|
It makes me feel like destroying the source of the sound and replacing it with something like Frank Zappa or John Lennon.
|
Fair enough
|
Feel free to lay into me and put down my kind of music. A dickish comment deserves a dickish response.
|
To be perfectly honest, I really fucking hate Frank Zappa and Mr Bungle. And I'm not trolling. I fucking hate them.
|
Can you tell me what you don't like about them? And I don't mean this in a "Holy shit, you don't like them? Fuck." kind of way, since whether they're good or not is subjective. I'm just interested, as I hear this a lot.

There are some great death/black albums, instantly i can say bloodbath has had some gooduns and ulver's black metal trilogy was ace.
@frankzappa/bungle: they make weird music for faux weirdies. it's trying too hard to be something for me to enjoy it, like it was made for a purpose, instead of being made for the sake of being music. holy fucking shit |

holy FUCK and |
i was reminded of this down the local last night. god, how could i have forgotten it.
video doesn't give the sax justice, though. at fucking all. EDIT: i've had this in my playlist for ages, and it hasn't been mentioned so far so i thought i plonk it in, too. old ones are my favourites, i haven't come across anything more recent that can top stuff like this in my mind. |
Dunno if any of you heard about Emilie Autumn. She's sort of a punk/industrial/gothic singer but not really :P She's quite versatile imo.
Here's some of my fave songs from her(not sure if I actually posted them before or not) |
If the desired effect of that was to make my wrists itch for the sweet cold caress of a razor blade, then mission fucking accomplished.
|
Meh. Go back to your Indie cave, OANST.

|
Kastere, have you heard any Cherry Poppin' Daddies? Totally your thing if you like swing. Check out Zoot Suit Riot.

And like in the Bible.
EDIT: OANST posted first. Quite a mild inconvenience. |

Haha! ... :( I'm tired. |
Because it's that time of year.
|
|
Emilie Autumn is talented. Whether or not you like her "genre", at least she can sing.
OANST, perhaps you should get more closely acquainted with a razor blade, it has alot more edge than you do. ;) |
I quite like her voice too.
This is for you, OANST (and Strike Witch too, I guess). |
I approve.

*approaches OANST with sharpener*

I now own every Modest Mouse album, including the new one with the good music on it. Except SSS, but I hear that it is shit, so yeah.
|
Best. Song. EVAR!
Yea.. felt like overloading the forum with a suffocating, cute song. |
It's like Crazy Frog, only so cute it's giving me diabetes.
|
That should be the theme music to Oanst's Abbey blogs.

Esto. |
Really? Josh. Give the button to yourself.
|
It's the one Shakira song I like. She can sing in Spanish, but in English... Ella es una mierda.
