Rented Jeff Who Lives At Home, I really liked it. Anyone who just sits at home doing nothing a lot should watch it, since Jeff is that character.

When in the christ is Breaking Bad going to be shown over here on T.V.?

Mr. Bungle 07-15-2012 02:52 PM

Probably when it's over. It's only broadcast on AMC over here, currently.

Dynamithix 07-15-2012 11:14 PM

The first episode of Breaking Bad's fifth season. They started it off well, the beginning was a bit weird, it's obviously a scene from one of the final episodes or something, Walt is older in it and has his hair back. But yeah, the episode was pretty good, I hope Mike will be kinda like the third man in the group from now on, he's a really good character.

Also, I loved the part where Mike and Walt are arguing about how to destroy Gus' laptop and Jesse's in the background saying "yo what about magnets" "magnets could work".

Mr. Bungle 07-16-2012 12:07 AM

Yeah, it was a great premier. This is the only thing I'm not looking forward to regarding this season, since I watched the past four seasons on DVD/the internet:

This is gonna be difficult, yup.

Crashpunk 07-16-2012 10:26 AM

Just seen Cowboys VS Aliens. Not the greatest film in the world certainly, but it wasn't bad. My only problems with it was it was really predictable (okay, The part when the girl came back to life wasn't predictable. I was actually surprised about that) and the story was bland. I also found it a little repetitive what with everyone arguing then it being interrupted by something, That happened more then once I swear.

Anyway, I thought it had excellent visual and sound effects, plus that arm-strapped weapon (Which looks striking familiar to the Pip-Boy from Fallout) was awesome. The hybrid of Science Fiction and a Western was a really good concept that in my opinion was executed well. That was probably my favorite part about the film.

So overall I liked it. :)

I started watching Breaking Bad a couple days ago (I had only seen half of one episode before this). It's a good show. It really is. But it's not a great show. Too much of what happens doesn't make any sense. In the first season the DEA has a snitch who gives up his own cousin, but doesn't give up Jesse who is his cousin's partner? How does that make sense? How the fuck does the DEA not already have Jesse's name? Then you have Hal (Walt) creating a giant explosion in a drug kingpin's office which makes fire, and objects come pouring out of the windows, but everyone is just fine once the smoke clears. No hearing problems, no burns, nothing. Just a little dazed with some singed clothing.

Anyway, I'm about half way through the second season. I like it. I'm going to keep watching it. But it's not a great show.

Started watching this thing called Bienvenue al Sud which is an Italian film. I'm watching it in Spanish class because it's the last week before Summer begins. And I must admit it's great so far. It's hilarious and it is a story about a director who tries to get transferred to Milan by pretending he's handicapped but his plan fails and he's sent to southern Italy, near Napels, which is apparently really horrible. Has any one seen it? You might recognize it being called "Welcome to the South" that's what it's translated to in English.

Nepsotic 07-17-2012 12:05 AM

I'm watching The Orphanage in my Spanish class, I've seen it before and I have it on DVD. I really think it's a great film. I just wish people would shut the fuck up whilst I'm trying to watch it. Oh well, what do you expect when watching a film in school?

Ridg3 07-17-2012 04:15 AM

Too many kids are watching too much videos in school nowadays.

Nepsotic 07-17-2012 11:48 AM

Well, that's because it's the final week of school.

We watched This Means War today, I thought it was pretty good, but it's not the sort of thing I would buy.

I would also like to point out that my spelling and grammar will be a lot better now that my laptop is fixed.

Mr. Bungle 07-17-2012 12:12 PM

Been watching Dilbert lately. Another great TV series cancelled way too soon.

Wings of Fire 07-17-2012 12:18 PM

Dilbert is great.

It's nothing like the comic strips, but it's still great.

Mr. Bungle 07-17-2012 12:25 PM

Not at all. I love the strip as well, but it's often a lot less zany than the show was.

I also adore most of the voice acting. Especially Tom Kenny. His Jack Nicholson impression is hilarious.

Mr. Bungle 07-17-2012 04:15 PM

Pixar is working on a Finding Nemo 2.

Discuss.

I figured a doublepost was okay in this case since I know there are a lot of big Pixar fans here.

OANST 07-17-2012 04:54 PM

Don't you ever link to that piece of shit, pop up crazed site again.

Mr. Bungle 07-17-2012 04:57 PM

I didn't see any pop ups. Then again, I'm using a Mac. But sure, I'll keep that in mind.

GLaDOS 07-17-2012 11:02 PM

May I just say Tom Kenny is a great voice actor. Also we finished that Italian film and now we're watching a crappy French one from like the 80's.

Nate 07-18-2012 01:41 AM

A Finding Nemo sequel has been on the cards since it first came out. Apparently Adam Elliot was offered the director's chair after he won the Oscar for animated short, which (if you've seen Harvie Krumpet) just goes to show how goddamn stupid Disney executives are/were.

Varrok 07-18-2012 07:24 AM

I don't get it. I thought they found him in the first movie

Mr. Bungle 07-18-2012 09:56 AM

They did. Maybe it'll be Nemo Jr. who gets lost.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to a second Finding Nemo. I love the first one, and have had a fascination with the ocean since I was young. So yeah.

Nepsotic 07-18-2012 12:03 PM

Are you not worried that they might ruin it? Remember what they did to Cars? Saying that, Cars was a bit shit anyway. You get my point.

Mr. Bungle 07-18-2012 12:11 PM

Yeah, Cars was pretty bad in the first place, whereas Finding Nemo wasn't, and actually had a good, heartfelt story. Plus it's the same director as the first one, so I'm not too worried.

Then again, Cars 2 was directed by the same guy as the first one (John Lasseter), and look how tha turned out... But he's never been that great of a director anyways.

OANST 07-18-2012 12:31 PM

John Lasseter is better as an appreciator of talent. He's pretty good at finding the right people for projects.

Sekto Springs 07-18-2012 01:27 PM

John Lasseter is infamous for being that guy who hires talented people, and then fucks up their ideas by disneyfying them.

Laser 07-18-2012 03:21 PM

I watched Once Upon A Time In The West.

Second greatest Western of all time and one of my favourite Henry Fonda roles.

Sergio Leone can do no wrong!

I saw The Dark Knight Rises. I really liked it but (minor spoiler) there was so much action that it got a bit boring eventually.

Also (slightly less minor spoiler) I could barely understand anything the bad guy said, which made the plot hard to follow in places.

Sekto, you were an extra right? Do you know if you made it into the final film? In the sequence you were going to be in I saw one guy with black hair, but I don't know your face well enough to know if it was you.

OANST 07-19-2012 07:01 AM

You people have got to learn what spoilers are.

Strike Witch 07-19-2012 07:04 AM

Batman dies.
