Saw the trailer for Wall E yesterday before Narnia began, absolutely want to see that. Graphics were OMG AWSOME and Wall E is cute XD.
|
Yup, I've been obsessed with Wall-E since I saw the first teaser. Of course, it helped that I was watching Prince Caspian yesterday as a group of Robotics Engineers.

Not really. Narnia is a parallel world to Earth, but it's only when you go through the shed door in The Last Battle to the extension-Narnia that it's heaven.
|
The penultimate Doctor Who of the season. Holy fucking shit.
|
DAVROS IS BACK! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I'VE BEEN WAITING! AND FINALLY - THE DALEK THAT GOT THE DOCTOR!
|
Holy shit, they're not going to get rid of Tennant are they?!
|
doctor who sucks baws

To go quite a bit back, as said before, Aslan represents Jesus, he quotes him directly quite a few times too.
I saw Dr. Who on TV yesterday, the one with Kylie Monogue, all I can say is WTF, I mean, it's entertaining, but sometimes I wish it took it'self seriously. Recently saw Family guy: Blue Harvest, and man that thing is funny, it hardly misses anything, from the "a long time a go, but somehow in the future" to the whole porkens thing. Can't wait untill the next one. I saw the new Indina Jones movie recently (for me, time is flying due to all of my school work), and I liked it, only saw the raiders of the lost arc, and got enough of the jokes, and thought it stayed true to the series while adding some fresh new twists and changes, the only bit I hated was the ants bit. Oh, and since I'm Australian I have to support Blanchet. |
I don't know why people are so shocked that Aslan was Jesus. Who cares? Aslan was Jesus, Neo was Jesus, Abe was Jesus... heck, Donna Noble is Jesus.
EDIT: Thought I'd spoiler tag that, for the sake of Australians who've been good and not simply downloaded Doctor Who to watch it at the same time as the UK. |

That's nothing. It was almost entirely repeated, word-for-word, with Max.
I don't actually have all that much to say, you see. |
Did he bring E.T. into it too?
|
Saw the spoiler and have no idea who it is, yay for ignorance.
Just saw I am Legend. Great movie, who cares if it didn't stick to the novel, it expanded from it, which is what is should do, we don't want the same thing over and over again, besides, the book already had two appropiations. It's amazing how much you care about an animal you've never seen before and is of a breed that is infamous of being vicious and violent. All in all, I did like it, I usually hate horror movies, and this movie isn't realy a horror movie at all, which is why I saw it, but I appriceated the whole modernised zombie/ vampire thing. And after watching the prequel star wars, you start not to notice the special effects and take them for real, but maybe that's just my generation. The religist themes may have been a little bit too unsubtle, but I think it ties in with the whole spirituality concept. All and all, a pretty decent movie, and I'm aware that what I have said is pretty pointless because everyone has scene it by now and if they haven't, they don't care about it, but I'm on a forum, It doesn't have to have a point. |
|
Just saw Wall E it was actually pretty good. Nice parody of how Earth will be in the future, fat humans that cant do anything and a world full of garbage.
Now Im off to hell- a.k.a work... |

Also... do not waste your money on The Happening. Please... do not. Unless you want to laugh your ass off at random people killing them selfs in some very funny ways, don't go see it. It has absolutely no story at all. |
Oh yeah, forgot to mention what I've just seen. I saw Capricorn One the other night. Missed the first 20 or 30 minutes but it was a cracking film. Very old but still good.
I've also got Escape From New York taped. Heard good things about it so I'm looking forward to seeing that. |
|
ok Billy Piper is a nice piece of ass.
otherwise it sucks baws |
Watched Escape From New York last night. FAANTASTIC film, I understand why it's rated so highly. I didn't quite get why Plissken switched the tapes, but other than that, awesome awesome film. I see where so many films have drawn inspiration from- there's elements of The Terminator, Johnny Mnemonic, 28 Days later and other films in it. Great stuff.

WALL-E
I just want to start this out by saying that Wall-E is my favorite movie. I'm aware that some people say that just to sya it but this actually is the single greatest film I've ever seen, it made me hate the world a little less and made me want to be a better person a little more.
The Plot There's quite a bit going on, but paying attention will help, I'm going to avoid spoinlong anything for anyone by putting this in Spoiler tags just in case, so don't read if you don't want anything about the movie ruined for you. I won't go as far as to ruin the ending, but none the less. Wall-E is a clean up robot, the last on Earth, as it shows seemingly every other Wall-E has broken down. Powered by a solar battery, Wall-E has lasted so long and experienced so much that he's become self aware (as it shows normal Wall-E behaviour at the end of the movie as being systematic and simple). Living with a cockroach inside of a broken down deployment van, Wall-E spends his days breaking down garbage into large structures and storing various interesting doodads in a cooler. The interior of the Van is decorated with small piles of junk and at the back, a juxtaposed Televison made out of a VCR, some jumper cables, an iPod and a large magnification screen. Over the course of the Years, Wall-E found a tape of Hello, Dolly! and Records the music from it to listen to as he works, also learning of Love and the need for other people from it, Wall-E pines for someone else when a large ship lands and with it, Eve, a trigger happy scanning robot that contracts Wall-E's industrial appearance with a simple white pallet and blue eyes. Becoming enamoured with Eve, Wall-E follows her and eventually saves her from a dust storm. Wall-E shows her the Van and a plant that he found. This plant, which is what Eve was looking for, forces her into stasis, wherien Wall-E takes her with him wherever he goes and tries to wake her up. That was a bit too in depth a suppose. Animation, Music, etc... Amazing, the Detail on every character (especially Wall-E) is astounding and everything is fluid and beautiful, Easily the best looking Pixar (and on that note CG) movie I've ever seen. The music is not as good as Ratatouille, but only just so, and it's still amazing, easily one of their best, I reccomend buying it, I downloaded the torrent of it and still plan on buying it. The movie has a HUEG anti consumerism message, and although it seems hypocritical (Disney) iut's still amazing. The ONLY bad part of this movie was the Trailers preceding it. Go see Wall-E, now, I'm going to see it again. |
I'm gonna see it as soon as it hits the theaters here. There's actually a lot of movies I wanna see lately. I want to see 21: Las Vegas, Hangcock and Wall-E.

DAMNIT!
Wall-E doesn't come out here until September! For some fucked up reason, Disney takes ages to send their films to Australia. Most other studios release films within a week or two of the USA - often even before Britain. But Disney are just fucked. |
Hm, now that you say that, I can't think of a single Disney movie set in Australia or that has Australian characters.

Hell, I saw 'Planet Terror' the other day, I have to say, It was quite good!
Though some of the things didn't make sense, like how the heck did she managed to fire the gun, when It was attached to her leg?? and wouldn't the recoil from the rocket launcher knock her off her feet? Though the zombies where a bit weird, they where like...melting or something? With their faces all dripping, as if acid was chucked all over them, though I guess 'rottenness' is what makes a zombie undead XD |
:
Also, Hancock was okay, see it if you want, it's kinda meh. Wanted was an amazing experience. Half of the Incredible Hulk was boring. |
I thought that the last Doctor Who of the series was quite good. Not great, but not bad. At least they didn't fuck up Davros.
I was wondering why the German Daleks screamed 'exterminieren'. I always thought that 'ausrotten' meant 'exterminate'. |
:
Watched the Tudors last night. erotic non explicit Victorian blowjobs? No thanks. I imagined Henry VIIIth to be a bit fatter and ginger-er too. |

Saw the last crusade a week ago, I liked it, altough it was rather light, it was enjoyable.
And now to what I just saw, The Black Knight: Man that movie is awesome, it was great, the only minor set back is that the main actress is changed, but I didn't notice untill afterwards, well, I hardly noticed anyway, and even though I had little knolledge of the batman universe, I still recognised a number of the referances and appreciated them enough. The film is quite exhuasting though, and I thought it was over half way through, and while the film continued, throwing in more twists and alot better than the one in the first movie, I was recovering, but then it just gets better. Sometimes the plot gets confusing only because so much is happeing, but you'll figure it all out by the end, still a truley awesome movie. :D |
I need to see that. That and Hellboy. Movies are so damn expensive around here, though, and none of ma buddeeez are callin' me up.
|
I saw Hellboy II: The Romantic Comedy last week. My favorite part was when Hellboy and Abe get Drunk together and then Hellboy fights a guy well because he's drunk and they never elaborate on why, that and how it ends with a dick joke. Awesome.
|
WHOAWHOAWHOA!
Did you guys know that "Momma Mia!" is quite literally the best movie ever made? THE JOKE IS OVER IT'S AWFUL I saw it with my friend because we had free tickets to this one theater and that was the only movie they were showing, and so we went and it was like watching menopause happen. Gross awful bad don't don't don't |
:robot: I've yet to see it, but I've heard nothing but good things from all of my friends.
