It's more like a Touhou/Jamestown/Traitor-style vertical shooter, but yeah. But the music interpretation is pretty good, unlike Beat Hazard or Rush Bros.
It's also got loot drops, bosses and an upgrade system, along with an overarcing... narrative, if not exactly a plot. I got about 3/4 of the way in before new upgrades became prohibitively expensive and I got bored. |

Build a bundle!
http://www.gog.com/high5 I'd personally recommend Primordia/Torchlight/Tiny & Big/Stacking/Amnesia. |
Some great deals on GOG. I got a load of Bullfrog games cheap and I also really recommend Guilty Gear X2 Reload. A brilliant 2D fighting game.
|
New Humble Bundle includes FTL: Faster Than Light, FEZ, Trine 2, Brutal Legend and Mark of the Ninja! Buy it.

Should be interesting. It's amazing that people are bitching left and right about this because it's 'too restricted'. For the love of god, you can play someone else's copy of the game for free and people are complaining about it. Sigh....

Bioshock Infinite on sale for £11 (or equivalent - 66% off normal price), today only. And IMO that's very much worth it for such an incredible gaming experience.
|
Bioshock 1/2 are also on offer. Just picked up the first one.
|
If BioShock 2 is on offer then I might as well point out that the Minerva’s Den DLC was recently put on Steam. I’ve heard good things about it, and it was made by the some of the same people that went on to make Gone Home.
|
I also have coupons for 25% off Volgarr the Viking and 33% off Foul Play on Steam. While we're here, if someone would like to trade for my innumerable duplicate Steam Cards, it'd be appreciated. |
Free copy, you say?
|
|
Terraria is on sale via Steam this week, 75% off. It's especially worth it due to the new patch which adds a lot more to the game. Give it a try if you're interested in it.

I got codes
One's to get into the beta for this. No idea what it is, but apparently people are paying money for it. And another for a bundle of indie games I haven't heard of and you won't have either. If anyone has the time and patience to take a lucky dip, feel free. |
It might help if you gave a list of what's available...
|
:
The Ballads of Reemus: When the Bed Bites, Star Hammer Tactics, Bird Assassin, Amazing Zombie Defense, Zombie Football Carnage and Akaneiro: Demon Hunters. Now look me in the eye and tell me that's actually useful. |
I can't. And I originally believed I can recall at least one.
EDIT: :
|
Now that Nate's ruined the surprise could I grab Akaneiro please?
edit: oh it's a bundle. Well my request still stands. |
A few months ago, I decided that I was spending far too much money on games, and I was never going to pay more than £4.20 for a game again.
http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/1582/gw12.png Oh. |
Under £3 for Fallout NV.
I just adore Steam. |
Fallout New Vegas is good, had a lot of fun with that game.
|
I picked it up around that price over a year ago. I haven't played it yet, but I can sleep well knowing that it was such a huge bargain.
|
I have a spare key for Surgeon Simulator, and I am willing to give it away to some user I like
EDIT: Or anyone who'd play this. It's a fun game. |
Ooh, I wouldn't mind grabbing that if it's on offer.
You like me right? ...right? |
Yeah, you're fun :) Sent

Iron Brigade is free on the 360 for the month of November. Those of you who have been holding back on this one should pick it up. It's by far Double Fine's best game if you look at them from a purely gameplay perspective. Third Person Mech Tower Defense, and it's addictive as fuck.
This means you, BM. I see you on playing Brutal Legend all the time. Get this game, and I'll play it with you. |
New Humble Bundle including Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, LOTR: War in the North, Scribblenauts: Unlimited and two FEAR games.
|
God damn it, if I didn't already have the Arkham games I'd snap this up.
|
I think it's still easily worth it - I have both Batman games and War in the North, but I have never played FEAR 2 and 3, and Scribblenauts might be fun too.
