Hey, remember Pyro, the villainous X-Men mutant with fire powers? If so, perhaps you will also recall that he couldn't actually create fire, only control it, so he had to wear flamethrowing devices around his wrists that allowed him to shoot fire at his enemies.

Well, someone went ahead and built them, in real life. "The Prometheus Device," (which he says is Version 3 of "The Pyro System") was designed specifically to emulate the mutant's powers, and admittedly it looks freaking awesome.

There are even instructions for building your own Pyro devices, which I DO NOT IN ANY WAY RECOMMEND as you will probably end up lighting everything around you on fire, including yourself. Just watch the video and live through this guy instead:

It's the kind of erudite humor I wouldn't expect most to understand, really.
It's simply lampooning the annoying construct of romantic-style writing, and the pretentiousness of modern sonnets.

I kind of got that, and the connection to Derrida, then I looked at the other three and couldn't see any connection to Decartes or Augustine in them.

It's the kind of language Barthes would have liked, words for their own sake.

Some of them are connected purely through word construct, and don't necessarily use direct references. Placement of adjectives and the like.

I can't think of any more Murray trivia, so I'm simply going to agree that he is awesome and leave you with 'Cheer Up Murray' and the only montage of clips that wasn't crap.
