The first one was brilliant. It was easily the best videogame movie. I know every other videogame movie is terrible, but Silent Hill was awesome. Thinking about it, the two Resident Evil CGI movies were pretty good.

Don't talk shit about my favourite film!

Please tell me you're trolling.

Crashpunk 02-13-2013 11:43 AM

No sir I am not. I love Die Hard. :)

Now I'm just waiting for all the stupid comments about how my opinion is wrong. blah blah blah.

Sekto Springs 02-13-2013 11:49 AM

The first Silent Hill movie is arguably the best game-to-film adaptation. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a good movie. Better than Parasnoremal Inactivity.

Wings of Fire 02-13-2013 11:50 AM

Opinions cannot by definition be wrong.

http://i.imgur.com/FQ7053v.jpg

They can however be bad. I find it funny how 'Die Hard is overrated' and 'The Mighty Boosh are awesome' was in the same post.

Nepsotic 02-13-2013 11:53 AM

Die Hard? I was talking about Ted. Die Hard is great and Ted is bad.

And how dare you say the Mighty Boosh is not awesome.

Silent Hill was very good.

Varrok 02-13-2013 11:57 AM

First Silent Hill movie was cool

Wings of Fire 02-13-2013 11:57 AM

Oh

That wasn't as obvious as you thought it was.

Nepsotic 02-13-2013 11:59 AM

Weren't they already talking about Ted? Huh, I must've missed a few posts.

Your opinion is right, fuck definitions.

Crashpunk 02-13-2013 12:42 PM

Oooh sorry Nep. I misread your post. :)

Never seen Ted so I wouldn't know anything about it.

MeechMunchie 02-13-2013 01:40 PM

I also like the Mighty Boosh. I empathise with Howard.

And now, on BBC Four: A seven-hour documentary on Swedish avant-garde cinema.
"Oh-ho, yes!"

Watched Mass Effect Paragon Lost

so many fucking plotholes and my main gripe was THE ASARI HAD LIARA AS HER MENTOR AND SHE’S THE FUCKIGN SHADOW BROKER SO SHE WOULD HAVE KEPT TABS ON HER WHICH MEANS SHE WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE COLLECTORS AND IMPLIES SHE DELIBERATELY WITH-HELD INTEL FROM SHEPARD IN THE SECOND GAME FUCK

Very good? Really?

There were a few good performances, I guess. I never get sick of Alice Krige playing the role of the crazy matriarch (see; Borg Queen). Otherwise, the scares were poorly executed, the dialogue was terrible, and the production was plagued with bad decisions that turned what could have been a decent, coherent adaptation into a pretty but vague mess.

Nepsotic 02-13-2013 06:43 PM

Holy shit, I liked the film, is that such a bad thing?

Wings of Fire 02-13-2013 06:51 PM

Yes!

No worse than you liking dubstep. :tard:

Oh, you!

Steamer_KING 02-15-2013 05:55 PM

Here, have fun:

Nepsotic 02-15-2013 06:05 PM

I did enjoy that, it was completely and utterly right, but I still stand by the fact that I like it. Also why did they make Harry a girl? That was one thing that genuinely did piss me off.

It also reminded me of how much I fucking love the Silent Hill music. I seriously fucking love it.

Steamer_KING 02-15-2013 06:08 PM

I'm not saying you shouldn't like it, far from it. I just showed these videos because they're basically my opinion. I generally don't do this, but since this is so well explained and enjoyable, I just posted it.

Nepsotic 02-15-2013 06:28 PM

Actually holy shit, there's loads of these, I love stuff like this, thanks for showing it to me.

Steamer_KING 02-15-2013 06:37 PM

It's my favourite channel in YouTube. You're welcome.

Watching Cardcaptor Sakura and one of the characters, Li, has a crush on another guy, Yukito

makes me really happy how sakura is all "oh no love rival" and not "ew gay what". Anime children are the best children.

AlexFili 02-16-2013 01:08 AM

Just watched the final episode of my Sharpe boxset. Overall a good series and one of the few franchises where Sean Bean's character doesn't die! At the moment I'm getting a nostalgia buzz watching Captain Scarlet. Still one of my favourite TV shows and surprisingly violent for it's time! Will rewatch Bleach, since that's still one of the best animes I've seen (particularly the Soul Society arc).

OddjobAbe 02-17-2013 01:45 PM

Let's dispel with all this cloudy-minded Jap drivel and settle down with Will Hay.

I got my collection out the other day, and I love all of them. This one especially.
And on a related note, I found my old taped Railway Children. It's been a good week.

AlexFili 02-20-2013 02:37 AM

Holy heck, The Hunger Games is very violent for a 12. 22 deaths of young people in a short space of time, wowzahs.

Crashpunk 02-20-2013 12:58 PM

Watching the new series of Spartacus. Just as over the top as always. I still love how they swear in modern language in a Roman setting. It's just ridiculous.

Also watching the second half of season 3 of The Walking Dead. That show always keeps me on edge.

Mr. Bungle 02-23-2013 11:50 AM

I watched Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince the other day with a friend. It was very boring, and pretty bad. I still like the first three Harry Potter's (maybe it's nostalgia but I still think Prisoner of Azkaban is a great movie), but with this one all the characters just felt so dull and uninteresting, with a plot that I couldn't for the life of me care about.

The cinematography also felt quite stale and bland throughout most of the movie, too. It just didn't feel... engaging. I can't quite put my finger on it. But I didn't like the movie.

The only real merit I felt the film had was Luna Lovegood. I don't know why but whenever her character is on screen my heart just melts. She's adorable.

Nepsotic 02-23-2013 12:08 PM

She's a lot like Fluttershy
I do like the first 3, but the rest are mediocre at best and certainly don't deserve the fanbase they have.

Varrok 02-23-2013 12:10 PM

I've seen the pilot episode of Breaking Bad. It was cool, I want to see more.

Mr. Bungle 02-23-2013 12:31 PM

You should. You'll get hooked fast.

Manco 02-23-2013 12:44 PM

Which is rather appropriate considering the subject matter.

Dynamithix 02-23-2013 01:12 PM

I watched Hellraiser 2: Hellbound. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than the first one, it showed more of the cenobites and their world, I thought that was cool. It was also very funny at parts, especially in the cenobite-Channard scenes.

I think I'll just stop here with the Hellraiser series, I've heard nothing but bad things of the sequels after the second movie.

Nepsotic 02-23-2013 01:16 PM

I've only seen the first one. I watched it when I was 6, from what I can remember, I enjoyed it.

i love Hellraiser. i've watched them all and got the films cheap. you're right about the others, but maybe give Hellraiser: Inferno a watch. i think it's the 5th one, but anyway the main character is a police detective. when i watched it i thought it was going to be another laugh-a-minute pile of shit like the previous two, but i was pleasantly surprised. i've only watched it once but i'm pretty sure i enjoyed it, therefore it can't be as shit as the shit ones.

not sure though. give it a watch if you get the chance, and let me know if it's shite or not. i can't remember properly.

Dynamithix 02-23-2013 02:32 PM

I might look into that inferno one later then.

It kinda depends on your take on horror, some say. I actually think they're pretty mediocre at best, but even though that's my opinion, I think you should watch it and take your own conclusions. If ya don't like it, you can make like I do, just forget them until something likes this happens.

Anonyman! 02-23-2013 09:00 PM

Watched Stephen King's IT again.

Funniest film ever made.

Thing about Hellraiser 2 is that a lot of crucial scenes were cut, which made the final cut make a lot less sense. Still a very good in terms of sequels, especially how it picks up exactly where the first left off. After that, I'd say Inferno is probably the least terrible of the sequels. Note that I say "least terrible" and not "best".

Doug Bradley, the guy who plays Pinhead, lives in my hometown and I run into him now and again. I'm also on pretty friendly terms with his girlfriend, who is happy to share the kind of stories he's too polite to tell. I see him and his lady a lot through a friend of mine who runs a local freakshow/museum of oddities.

JEALOUS?
