The first one was brilliant. It was easily the best videogame movie. I know every other videogame movie is terrible, but Silent Hill was awesome. Thinking about it, the two Resident Evil CGI movies were pretty good.

No sir I am not. I love Die Hard. :)
Now I'm just waiting for all the stupid comments about how my opinion is wrong. blah blah blah. |
The first Silent Hill movie is arguably the best game-to-film adaptation. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a good movie. Better than Parasnoremal Inactivity.
|
Opinions cannot by definition be wrong.
http://i.imgur.com/FQ7053v.jpg They can however be bad. I find it funny how 'Die Hard is overrated' and 'The Mighty Boosh are awesome' was in the same post. |
Die Hard? I was talking about Ted. Die Hard is great and Ted is bad.
And how dare you say the Mighty Boosh is not awesome. :
|
First Silent Hill movie was cool
|
Oh
That wasn't as obvious as you thought it was. |
Weren't they already talking about Ted? Huh, I must've missed a few posts.
|
:
|
Oooh sorry Nep. I misread your post. :)
Never seen Ted so I wouldn't know anything about it. |
I also like the Mighty Boosh. I empathise with Howard.
And now, on BBC Four: A seven-hour documentary on Swedish avant-garde cinema. "Oh-ho, yes!" |
Watched Mass Effect Paragon Lost
so many fucking plotholes and my main gripe was THE ASARI HAD LIARA AS HER MENTOR AND SHE’S THE FUCKIGN SHADOW BROKER SO SHE WOULD HAVE KEPT TABS ON HER WHICH MEANS SHE WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE COLLECTORS AND IMPLIES SHE DELIBERATELY WITH-HELD INTEL FROM SHEPARD IN THE SECOND GAME FUCK |

There were a few good performances, I guess. I never get sick of Alice Krige playing the role of the crazy matriarch (see; Borg Queen). Otherwise, the scares were poorly executed, the dialogue was terrible, and the production was plagued with bad decisions that turned what could have been a decent, coherent adaptation into a pretty but vague mess. |
Holy shit, I liked the film, is that such a bad thing?
|
Yes!
|
:
|
Oh, you!
|
Here, have fun:
|
I did enjoy that, it was completely and utterly right, but I still stand by the fact that I like it. Also why did they make Harry a girl? That was one thing that genuinely did piss me off.
It also reminded me of how much I fucking love the Silent Hill music. I seriously fucking love it. |
I'm not saying you shouldn't like it, far from it. I just showed these videos because they're basically my opinion. I generally don't do this, but since this is so well explained and enjoyable, I just posted it.
|
Actually holy shit, there's loads of these, I love stuff like this, thanks for showing it to me.
|
It's my favourite channel in YouTube. You're welcome.

Watching Cardcaptor Sakura and one of the characters, Li, has a crush on another guy, Yukito
makes me really happy how sakura is all "oh no love rival" and not "ew gay what". Anime children are the best children. |
Just watched the final episode of my Sharpe boxset. Overall a good series and one of the few franchises where Sean Bean's character doesn't die! At the moment I'm getting a nostalgia buzz watching Captain Scarlet. Still one of my favourite TV shows and surprisingly violent for it's time! Will rewatch Bleach, since that's still one of the best animes I've seen (particularly the Soul Society arc).

joe's coming RUUUUUUN |
Let's dispel with all this cloudy-minded Jap drivel and settle down with Will Hay.
I got my collection out the other day, and I love all of them. This one especially. And on a related note, I found my old taped Railway Children. It's been a good week. |
Holy heck, The Hunger Games is very violent for a 12. 22 deaths of young people in a short space of time, wowzahs.
|
Watching the new series of Spartacus. Just as over the top as always. I still love how they swear in modern language in a Roman setting. It's just ridiculous.
Also watching the second half of season 3 of The Walking Dead. That show always keeps me on edge. |
I watched Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince the other day with a friend. It was very boring, and pretty bad. I still like the first three Harry Potter's (maybe it's nostalgia but I still think Prisoner of Azkaban is a great movie), but with this one all the characters just felt so dull and uninteresting, with a plot that I couldn't for the life of me care about.
The cinematography also felt quite stale and bland throughout most of the movie, too. It just didn't feel... engaging. I can't quite put my finger on it. But I didn't like the movie. The only real merit I felt the film had was Luna Lovegood. I don't know why but whenever her character is on screen my heart just melts. She's adorable. |
She's a lot like Fluttershy
I do like the first 3, but the rest are mediocre at best and certainly don't deserve the fanbase they have. |
I've seen the pilot episode of Breaking Bad. It was cool, I want to see more.
|
You should. You'll get hooked fast.
|
Which is rather appropriate considering the subject matter.
|
I watched Hellraiser 2: Hellbound. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than the first one, it showed more of the cenobites and their world, I thought that was cool. It was also very funny at parts, especially in the cenobite-Channard scenes.
I think I'll just stop here with the Hellraiser series, I've heard nothing but bad things of the sequels after the second movie. |
I've only seen the first one. I watched it when I was 6, from what I can remember, I enjoyed it.
|
:
not sure though. give it a watch if you get the chance, and let me know if it's shite or not. i can't remember properly. |
I might look into that inferno one later then.

Watched Stephen King's IT again.
Funniest film ever made. |

Doug Bradley, the guy who plays Pinhead, lives in my hometown and I run into him now and again. I'm also on pretty friendly terms with his girlfriend, who is happy to share the kind of stories he's too polite to tell. I see him and his lady a lot through a friend of mine who runs a local freakshow/museum of oddities. JEALOUS? |
