Thor felt like a pointless movie. There was very little action and also very little plot or character development, it was a two hour commercial for The Avengers. Still need to see Captain America, but I don't expect much at this point.
Thor was actually really quite funny I thought. Then again, I can't really remember seeing as I saw it about a year ago.
I did laugh a lot, but not for reasons they intended.
I can understand why people thought Thor was a stupid film. It is. For the most part. I did enjoy Thor as a human though, I thought that was very fun and interesting way to do it instead of going all "Viking in the 21st Century" I feared they were going to do.
Captain America was the better film, far less stupid. |
I haven't seen Thor, but I thought Captain America was a great movie. Not as good as the Iron Man films, but still great. I have a feeling the sequel will be even better.
Avengers is still my favourite Marvel movie to date, however. |
Rewatched all 7 episodes of Brass Eye. Chris Morris is a genius.
Been watching a lot of Futurama, specifically the third season. It's around when they really hit their stride with creative, interesting storylines packed with a lot of hilarity and emotion. Top notch stuff. You just can't top Luck of the Fryish.
Also watching more of The Wire. Just finished the episode "The Cost" or, the one where the lesbian gets shot. Holy fucking shit this might be one of the best shows I've watched. |
Just seen some of Pen Ward's earlier work, like Bravest Warriors, it was really nice animation. Well to me. But the "tickle monster" was a bit camp. Also Sneezy has some of the best music in a short clip ever.

The first season of Adventure Time came out on dvd yesterday. I think I'll buy it today.
Everything Must Go.
Was alright. |
:
I'll take a diarrhea shit in his wound if it means I can watch Adventure Time.
You'd be able to watch Adventure Time after you did it.
Consider it done then.
You'd be able to watch it even if you didn't, but whatever... Have fun
That seems slightly unhygenic.
I could get it but my dvd player doesn't play Region 1 dvd's. And also, I'll pass on the wound disruption, I don't want to get ill.
I just bought the dvd. Diarrhea shittin' all over that wound, bitches!
Spread the happiness!

Watched The Thing (the original) not too long ago. What a fantastic film. Well acted, simple if effective storytelling and the special effects, while dated, were disgusting!
I will say that the ending was kind of a bit... 'bleh'. It was basically a boss fight and it had no horror or tension in it what so ever. |
When you say you saw the original, I think you mean the John Carpenter version, which is not the original. Unless I'm wrong. In which case, I'm wrong.
Even if John Carpenter's was the original, it would be erroneous to refer to it as such since the new one is technically a prequel, not a remake.
Also, for all of those who saw the prequel and resented the crappy use of CGI as much as I did, here's a little something that will piss you off even more (embedding disabled for some reason). You can actually see a good buddy of mine sculpting one of the creatures at about 3:20. He was the one who first told me that all the awesome animatronic fx he and his team did were thrown out. |
I didn't mean that I could be wrong about the John Carpenter version being the original. It's not. I meant I could be wrong about which one he watched.
Only now?
I actually enjoyed the prequel. Though nowhere near as much as Carpenters one.
E: And I guess I'm a speedy shit, too. |
Only now.
I prefer the original to all others. Including the John Carpenter version.
Hmm, am I talking about the right one? The one from the 70's is my favourite, I'm not sure which one that is.

It was made in 51.
