What about O Brother Where Art Thou?

I've never been able to decide which is the funniest movie ever made, O' Brother Where Art Thou or The Royal Tanenbaums. I just love them both so much.

Never seen Tanenbaums. But O'Brother is beauty and genius

I just saw Shoot 'Em Up, I didn't expect anything more than what I got, apart from The scene where Clive Owen is shooting the masked people while having sex with the woman, that was a new one.

I want to see this, I enjoy stupid explodey films. Recommend?

Most certainly, makes up for Live Free Or Die Hard's stupid assumption that you can 'hack' anything.

Also tits.

But you can hack tits.

Alcar...

Disgruntled Intern 01-02-2008 06:19 PM

Black people can do whatever they want.

It's called reparations.

Wait. Were there any negroids in that hacking movie?

It doesn't matter. I just realized the Kid that plays the MAC computer in all of those oh-so-funny commercials was in that movie. If anyone knows anything about anything, and by anything I mean hacking anything, it would be the actor that plays the personified version of a Mac.

Duh.

Stupid girl.

Rewatching Stargate SG-1. Should keep me off the streets for a while.

The Royal Tenenbaums ain't particularly funny, more 'amusing'. I'd even say Life Aquatic and Rushmore are funnier, I'd even say that.

For proper chuckles, Borat - in the cinema - has yet to be beat.

OANST 01-03-2008 02:43 PM

How low brow can you go?
Can you go down low?

McDonalds commercial.

Anyway, Borat was funny but not as funny as RT.

Mutual Friend 01-03-2008 02:47 PM

We've already established that it is the least funny film ever made, now lets move on from that point...

Leto 01-05-2008 01:51 PM

I watched Gummo, Kids then Julien Donkey Boy consecutively last night, how cool does that make me?

I thought Kids could've easily been longer, and Gummo had some nice blacknettles.

Now you just need to watch Bully, Another Day in Paradise and Ken Park.

I just saw...

Juno.

I loved it. I wasn't too thrilled going in, but, yeah, this movie is great.

Mac Sirloin 01-05-2008 07:38 PM

Ellen Page scared the living shit out of me in Hard Candy.

Paramite of War 01-05-2008 09:13 PM

I saw I am Legend. It was it was a good movie, I wish it was atleast another 45 mins long though.

Chezzy 01-06-2008 12:09 AM

I just saw I am legend as well. Will Smith played his part really well. I nearly cried when sam died.
I also just saw the Bourne Ultamatem. Absolutely brilliant film.

Laser 01-06-2008 03:45 AM

GREEN WING!!!

i've got both series on DvD and i have yet to see another comedy beat it in pure hilarity

I also saw the last Extras Christmas special, it was very sad but very funny, specially when his ex-agent joins carphone warehouse :tard:

Hobo 01-06-2008 04:11 AM

Fuzzle King 01-06-2008 05:53 AM

i watched the village last night and i thought it was, alright.the director. M.night shyamalan,i think has done some pretty good films in the past, but i think this could have been better.

I just saw it on the plane and I agree wholeheartedly. The best thing about it is that the characters never gave any macho James Bond-esque quips after doing something morally reprehensible as has become standard in Hollywood spy movies. They seemed like real people behaving very much like how I'd imagine their real-world counterparts to behave.

Dude don't post any fucking spoilers for people, don't assume everyone on this forum has seen this movie. :fuzemb:

Chubfish 01-07-2008 03:06 PM

I watched seasons 8, 9 and 10 of the Simpsons and then watched some random TV programme about catching lobsters.

skillyaslig 01-07-2008 06:08 PM

saw Braindead. Mum brought it from trademe. It was the funniest, creepiet thing I have seen. Yeah, lets go kill zombies with a lawnmower! RAWR!

morphius 01-07-2008 07:55 PM

The Matrix is quite astonishing isn't it?

Strike Witch 01-07-2008 09:22 PM

*tch*

I've been watching Transformers Animated, it's just started. Pretty good, the characters don't have irritating voices or so forth, and the animation isn't half-bad in motion.

Next episode is Dinobots FUCK YEAH.

Disgruntled Intern 01-07-2008 10:11 PM

I just watched season three of LOST on dvd.

Yeah, still love it.

Salamander 01-07-2008 11:11 PM

I saw I Am Legend recently, I thought it was good, but I also think it should have been longer.

Mac Sirloin 01-08-2008 01:03 PM

IS THAT YOU FRED? ARE YOU GETTING BACON? IT'S ALRIGHT, I HAVE SOME SAVED.

Anyway, I think that Falling Down might be one of my favorite movies, now that I;ve been piece together the plot from what I've seen.
