It was the worst decision I had ever made in my life up to that point. Also, I've been trying to get 100% completion on every level in Rayman 3 HD since I initially posted I was playing it and I'm completely convinced it is impossible unless you are either a machine or exploiting every glitch the game has to offer. Still fun, though. :
There's some really odd bugs like the water doesn't seem to animate most of the time and will change into odd colours, the camera feels unruly compared to the original (from what I remember, at least.), the audio is delayed through the first play through every time you free the teensies, and Globox doesn't say anything when you punch him which is a feature I used to love. Other than that it's just as good? |
It's not on Steam here.

I've been playing Binding of Isaac like crazy right now. Still haven't gotten a Mom kill but I'm close.
My current play I've got Dead Sea Scrolls and Pyro, having near-infinite bombs makes boss fights sooo much easier. I'm just really nervous to fight the next one because I only have 3 hearts. Whatever. Here we go. Nevermind. I'm dead. Gurdy is a cunt, deflecting my bombs. Or something. |
Gurdy is a cunt, I seriously hate his high HP. I wouldn't recommend D.S.S, for me it's pretty useless.
|
It was my first time getting it, wasn't sure what it was used for. It's not something I'd use all the time.
I love this game but it really bothers me how luck-based it is at times. Like, I just got the Kamikaze. I don't even need to use it or look it up to know it's gonna fuck me over in some way. This game is so mean. |
Once you get into the groove a bit more and actually get a Mom kill you'll be finding more Devil rooms than you know what to do with. They take some of the random away at the price of hearts. Unlocking Judas and Cain is a pretty big deal for faster and more consistent runs, too. Cain especially makes it much easier to blast through the early stages with a tonne of soul hearts. Judas kills everything too quickly to bother with taking damage, plus the low HP makes you learn to dodge boss attacks. They both have good starting speed, too.
DSS is useless. My favourite held item to date is probably the Book of Belail, but that gets less useful as the game goes on and you get up towards full power. Since figuring out what it did Luck Foot is my favourite thing ever. Pick it up whenever you can. |
We have a TBoI thread. Please discuss it there.
|
^ this is why I stopped posting about every single time I played Skyrim. I didn't really wanna push it and I didn't really want to necro the thread unless I had some MAJOR things to post.
Also, we actually found a friendly person in League of Legends. And I hit level 29. |
We had a Skyrim thread a while back, maybe we could dig that back up or make a new one? I certainly wouldn't mind talking a bunch about it with the amount I've been playing.

And I've already bought the hd version and played through the entire game numerous times since I got it. It does look a lot nicer than the ps2 version, and it comes with an extra that lets you view the rayman origins artwork that was available in the collectors edition that was only released in Europe and Australia. I live in North America and the only money I have is the $20 psn card that I used to get Rayman 3 HD anyways. My point is I'm not going to spend more money money that I don't even have right now on something I currently own that I'm able to play through just fine even if there's a few things off about it. If anyone has a working physical copy of the original I'd only suggest getting the HD version if you want more eye candy, and that's it because the gameplay isn't nearly as smooth. |
Started playing Animal Crossing: Wild World And Let's Go to the City (City Folk) (the Wii one) again last week. Not just me, but my mates and even my sister have started to re-play it so I get to go to their towns :)
I love it. It's such a casual little game and yet you get so attached to your town and the animal who live there, as well as getting obsessed with catching all the Bugs and Fish. I'm really really psyched for the new one coming out on 3DS; New Leaf it's called. |

Oh, we're getting a friend back into League of Legends at the moment. I'm finally starting to get the hang of Veigar, despite the fact that I'm crap with champions that require farming to be powerful (he gets magic power for killing with one of his abilities). He's not dying all the time so it's actually fun to play with him, and he will listen to our advice, which is a relief. We can remember character builds off the top of our heads. This is probably quite sad. |

I'm starting Saints Row 2 today. Wish me luck!
|
PC or console, Steamer? I've heard the PC port is... lacking. Other than that, I loved it, so hope you enjoy it and good luck.
Me, I'm going to be seeing if I can get the PS2 and TV to cooperate and play some Shadow Hearts to save some face when my friends get here. Got bought three of the games in the series for Christmas and I've barely touched them. I feel like a bit of a jackass considering I want to but haven't. |
:
The Wii one however is pretty much a DS port only with a few extra things like the City being the big new thing and a couple of new events. |
I'm about level 32 in Skyrim. Got some nice enchantments going on with my armour to increase Magicka Regen and also a few enchantments on my Ebony Sword and Dwarven Bow. Got a Shout called Aura Whisper which I believe is going to come in handy for finding people and creatures

I've been playing Ninja Gaiden 3 and god fucking damn it this game is repetitive and dull. Visually it's pretty good but jesus christ it's so repetitive and the story is fucking weird as hell. It's mediocre at best. Oh well, it cost 4€.
|
Playing Conker's Bad Fur day, it's hilarious but at the same time something I feel I shouldn't laugh at. It's also hard as hell.

Feels good to play an old, unfairly hard game again. |
:
|
Yeah the PC port is seriously buggy. You’re kinda fucked.
|
Oops ignore this post.
Actually I am playing Machinarium and enjoying it. There. Now everyone can forget this ever happened. |
Conkers Bad Fur Day rules so hard. If you think it's tough now, though, just wait.
Two words: lava surfing. I might need to play Live and Reloaded again soon, fantastic remake of a fantastic game. |
So I made some progress in Shadow Hearts, and... FUCK KAPPAS SERIOUSLY FUCK KAPPAS SO HARD.
Other than that, daaaamn they don't fuck around with healing spells in this game. Your primary healer has a very cheap almost full heal right off the bat. And her main attack for a while is going to be tinkerbell crotch lasers. I've found the other characters... surprisingly lackluster, apart from the blatant panty shot I get every time I use the standard attack with the spy chick yes seriously thank you Japan. And you know, her grenade attack being so overpowered at this level in the game. Also, CLICHES ABOUND~ |
My last check on Skyrim was I was lvl 54? But I honestly need to get back to that game, amongst others, I have a terrible habit of hardly ever completing games.
So in a desperate attempt to seriously knock the backlog of uncompleted games I've started re-playing Amnesia the Dark Descent and I'm seriously considering just deleting it, because I literally have no balls when it comes to scary games. So instead I might finish Darksiders. Or not. |
Baldur's Gate.
Man, I'd forgotten what it was like to actually be addicted to a game. I'm totally failing A2 Art. |
I read something about Euro Truck Simulator 2 on /v/ and I wanted to give it a go since I haven't played simulators or anything like this before. It's a very nice game actually. Usually I'd find stuff like this boring but just something about making long-distance deliveries with a huge truck while listening to some calm radio music makes it fun.
|
Oh, and I started playing Symphony. I like me some bullet hell shooters.
In Phylum terms, it's somewhere between Jamestown and Audiosurf,* with the randomised enemies and loot of a Torchlight-style hack 'n' slash. Which leads me to regale such bizarre anecdotes as: "I was finding it pretty hard until a song dropped a rare Megablaster Furia, the high damage and accuracy of which helped me take out the suicide tank things that Dragonforce seems to spawn all the time; Combined with turning down all the distracting graphics settings, the game got fairly easy until I unlocked Mezzo-forte mode." Seriously, in bullet hell shooters clarity is everything. Neon glow and bloom effects have no place here. What's nice is that not just the timing but the actual types of enemies spawned are dependent on the texture of the music; Heavy thrashes get you lumbering, exploding tanks, while a plinkety piano solo will swarm you with little seeker drones. I'm pretty sure the loot is based around it too - machine guns for fast songs, energy cannons for slow, scatter lasers for wild etc. Plus, there's an actual end-game goal, something Audiosurf lacked. *Let's just forget Beat Hazard exists. |

My boyfriend let me install Odysee on his Desktop so I can play that again ^u^ I suck and 4 Mudokons died
|
Gay.
|
I played the demo for The Cave, Ron Gilbert's new game. It was alright, I'll probably pick it up when it's on sale, 1200 is a bit too much.
I also played the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo, it was quite fun but I'm still not too impressed by it. The blade mode is pretty neat. Finished Ninja Gaiden 3, story sucked, characters sucked, levels were ok, combat was repetitive, bosses were stupid. Meh. |
Finished Bioshock 2 and it was fucking amazing. The whole thing is just wow, the theme, Lamb, everything. i liked it a lot uwu
|
Were you happy to die at the end?

It's like yes yes everything will be fine daddy and then lolno i'm harvesting your genetic material so you can metaphorically live on I can see what they were trying to do there but it didn't tickle my pickle |
