Finally got unbanned from GTA Online (I used hacks to play animations for roleplaying and nothing else) buuuut my money is gone. I had almost $2,000,000. /sarcasticyay

Axiom Verge. It's pretty much just Super Metroid with a new look.

It plays well, looks great and has a couple of neat new mechanics but it's so frigging difficult it makes me hate it. But I guess that's the point.

I might return to it with a clear head. I might...

It's Rockstar's fault for not implementing animations, not mine. They shouldn't even ban people for doing something that should've been in the game in the first place.

Playing Crusader Kings II.

Fucking hell.

Before you know it you will be robbing banks and putting the blame on society.

Fucking hell.

How do you fuck hell, exactly?

Phylum 01-02-2016 01:58 PM

Been so tempted to buy CK2 on sale but DLC fucks in hell.

FrustratedAssassin 01-03-2016 12:35 PM

I got my money back! I made a support ticket and I got all my money back, plus 100k! The thanks Suzi S from Rockstar Support, you're the best!

Also CK2 is amazing and everyone should play it.

I started Mother 2 some time ago, and I still intend to finish it when I had some more free time. Is 3 as good?

Haven't finished that one yet (stuck in the desert area) but yes, I would say so. More varied characters, more coherent storyline, and one of the most engaging battle systems I've seen. Definitely give it a go soon.

Oh and the music is just stupid good, worth playing for that alone honestly:

Ridiculously good soundtrack, seriously. Almost 300 tracks (I think?) and they're pretty much all perfect. Well, as far as GBA music goes anyway.

So much hype.

:

I kinda expected it to be a dark, grim, creepy game. I wasn't too happy knowing it's not that type of the game. The first minutes certainly felt like it though.
It gets quite creepy and weird, but under a sort of cutesy-silly guise. Some seriously dark themes crop up later on, though. If you didn't even finish chapter one, son you ain't seen shit yet. It gets so much more interesting when they start smashing different animals together.

What a cool game.

FrustratedAssassin 01-03-2016 11:18 PM

Smashing animals together sounds like the Amalgamates from Undertale

Honestly did not realise there was about £100+ DLC until I bought it, very miffed about that. Don't get me wrong it's a fun game but having paid a pretty large sum even in the sale for about 1/6 of a game is inexcusable

Varrok 01-04-2016 02:47 AM

Think about what new Star Wars Battlefront fans must feel

I'm actually playing that right now, too. It's pretty nice so far, I love the music and sense of humour, but it's yet to really *wow* me like it seems to have for so many. Maybe time will tell; I'm only in the Hotland as of right now.

Undertale has consumed my life and I've basically been injecting references to it in every sentence. I guess some people are more prone to this than others.

Varrok 01-05-2016 01:30 PM

It "wowed" me on the first, neutral playthrough. It was less amazing on the "best path" so I cooled down

Manco 01-05-2016 02:21 PM

I hear there are skeletons? Who make puns???

Vexen 01-05-2016 03:24 PM

There is a skele-TON of puns to make.

Mr. Bungle 01-06-2016 02:48 AM

I really regret murdering one of them in cold... erm... marrow?

Had no idea what I was doing. Monster, I am.

FrustratedAssassin 01-06-2016 03:00 AM

You're not a monster. Monsters are nice folks. No, you're much worse than that. You're a human.

Mr. Bungle 01-06-2016 03:02 AM

fuck

I'm already tempted to start over as a pacifist.

Varrok 01-06-2016 03:27 AM

Don't. Unless you like lame cliches.

FrustratedAssassin 01-06-2016 12:06 PM

Not everything has to be subversive edgy and grimdark all the time. I liked the pacifist ending. It was a bit cliché but it was nice to have an ending where everyone is happy at the end.

Mr. Bungle 01-06-2016 12:32 PM

I just wanted more skelepuns honestly

Havoc 01-06-2016 02:02 PM

Completed BioShock Infinite on 1999 mode. Wasn't really as hard as it was made out to be. Only died like 5 times and surprisingly there were no Handymen involved in those deaths. Some vigor and gear combos are just so overpowered its hilarious.

Varrok 01-06-2016 02:05 PM

BSI is great, but the game feels rushed in the latter half. There were problems during the development, the game got reimagined at some point

Mr. Bungle 01-06-2016 02:48 PM

Yeah.

Still thought the ending was really satisfying, though. Made up for the gameplay tedium.

Shade667 01-07-2016 03:58 PM

Rainbow six siege is still devouring my life.

STM 01-07-2016 09:44 PM

I really should have gotten that game during a sale but it went right past me somehow. It looks really fun. Might have to get it soon.

Its super fun. Theres a couple bugs here and there and u know, ubisoft servers are a thing...

But its got alot of depth. get 4 friends together on a regular basis, talking all tactical and shit, theres tonnes of strategy. I assume youll be playing on PC so I cant tell u how well it performs or if the communities competitive and welcoming or if its full of douchebags. The only downside is that u cant play ranked until ur level 20, which is a double edged sword. It means youll either be playing offline or in casual, which people arent as good, and is full of trolls. But it means when u do get to ranked people generally know what theyre doing, making solo queue on ranked not that bad.

Edit: Level 20 btw will probs take about 8 hours or so. If u squad up with a mate who is level 20 and ur not itll let u play ranked though, so its not all bad.

Have you ever seen the designs for what the original Bioshock was meant to be like? Absolutely nothing like what came out. Reimagining isn't necessarily a problem.

Reimagining isn't necessarily a problem.

There's a difference between reimagining the game at the earliest stage of production and after releasing trailers with already made assets, characters, fleshed out story etc.

Holy Sock 01-13-2016 07:31 AM

I finished playing Batman: Arkham Knight there. Pretty solid experience. Some of the side missions were weak, there was far too much Batmobile and tank battles going on and not enough interesting interior levels. The dual play with Batman and Robin was probably the highlight of the experience.

It probably had the most interesting story of the four Arkham Games - or at least the whole psychological angle involving Batman felt pretty fresh. Scarecrow didn't really deliver but he was more of a vehicle for more interesting encounters involving Batman. I'm glad I didn't follow the preamble like I did with Arkham City - so Arkham Knight's identity and involvement in the story felt like a pretty good one - touching on Batman's past failures and deepest regrets. Storywise it feels the least like a Batman comic which isn't necessarily a good thing. Although Arkham City's plot was messy it still had the novelty of facing Batman's rogues gallery that lacked a bit in Knight.

FrustratedAssassin 01-14-2016 02:19 AM

Pocket Mortys was just released for iOS and Android. I know, it's a mobile game but it's Pokemon but with Rick and Morty instead of Pokemon.

Also, it has songs from the show playing in the background, including a chiptune version of Do You Feel It? by Chaos Chaos which is a great song.

OANST 01-14-2016 06:42 AM

Yeah, I'll be downloading that when I get home from work tonight.

Alf Shall Rise 01-14-2016 11:42 AM

I've been playing Bloodborne lately and I love it. The atmosphere is spot on, and the style is awesome. I've never actually played through an entire Souls game before, mostly because I just never had the patience to do so, but I'm hoping I'm able to pull through with this. So far, it seems a little more accessible than the Souls games in terms of being challenging, which I'm sure bothers a lot of people, but...can't say I'm bothered by it. Assuming there isn't a massive difficulty spike later in the game, of course.

Crashpunk 01-15-2016 11:43 AM

Yup. Pocket Morty's is literally just Pokemon Rick and Morty.

I love it.

OANST 01-16-2016 05:23 AM

I don't love it. Maybe because I've never played a Pokemon game, and I keep running out of attack power, and I'm only about an hour in. I probably won't spend much more time on it.

Vexen 01-18-2016 09:26 PM

I started playing Fallout 2 again. My brother used to let me use his steam account to play it. After begging my brother to share his games on steam so I could play, he refused. I finally decided to stop being cheap and actually dished out some money for a copy. It feels so good to be roaming post-apocalyptic Southern California again, after all, it's my home territory.

Is it bad I like the new fallout games and the older ones? I feel like you can only enjoy one or the other.

Nope. I like Fallout 1 and 2, but I like the new ones too. Especially New Vegas. Though I honestly feel New Vegas was the best entry of the series. Well, either New Vegas or 2, but I couldn't really get into 2 because IT'S TOO HARD OKAY
