Swan Lake meets dancing ninjas with electric guitars.

AKA The best fucking thing ever.

Award winning and shockingly good fan-made AMV.

Sekto Springs 01-28-2013 01:45 PM

AMV's can win awards?

AMV's can win awards?

Best AMV at the Boston Anime Festival for 2006 I believe. It's a little like winning the award for nuttiest tasting shit of the year.

Even so, I do like it.

Sekto Springs 01-28-2013 02:28 PM

Ah, okay. For a second there I thought the Academy Awards went completely south.

Strike Witch 01-28-2013 02:39 PM

This is the only AMV I've actually liked.

Nate 01-28-2013 05:25 PM

Hay, everyone! This is an 'I Have Just Seen...' thread, not a 'Let's discuss Anime' thread. Remember how I've only had to say that about fifty hundred thousand times over the last few years?!

Wings of Fire 01-28-2013 06:01 PM

But I've just seen a lot of anime. Manco has also just seen some anime. I don't see the issue here.

Well no, I see the issue here but anime is just what it's wearing for the day.

Mr. Bungle 01-29-2013 05:50 AM

Real cartoons>

is what Nate is saying, I think.

MeechMunchie 01-29-2013 07:54 AM

I think it's mainly a relatability thing.

Nate 01-30-2013 01:23 AM

No, it's mainly a 'This thread is getting sidetracked' thing.

AlexFili 01-30-2013 05:05 AM

Watched Les Miserables. Wow, who knew Wolverine could sing! Awesome movie, amazing action. Definitely one of my favourite films so far, especially in the musicals category.

Heh. I saw him on stage in both Beauty and the Beast and Sunset Boulevard well before he was Wolverine.

Mr. Bungle 01-30-2013 06:21 PM

Hipster Nate, watch out world!

I finished season 8 of Seinfeld. What a fantastic show.

Nate 01-31-2013 12:55 AM

Hipsters don't like Disney musicals or Andrew Lloyd Webber.

But I see your point.

Crashpunk 01-31-2013 08:48 AM

I want to see Wolverine: The Musical now.

MeechMunchie 01-31-2013 09:03 AM

I liked him in The Prestige. Which I also saw again recently.

Manco 02-02-2013 02:10 PM

I saw Django Unchained. It was the first Tarantino movie I've sat down and watched the whole way through.

I liked it. A lot.

MA 02-02-2013 07:28 PM

watched Ink. fucking strange film, but i find the concept intriguing. love the Incubi. dodgy acting with some painful moments, but i'm actually glad i watched it.

You need to watch Resevoir Dogs.

I just saw Django Unchained yesterday... Man it blew my mind! I loved the scene with the hooded men on horses and the arguments they had "Oh no, I think I just made it worse".

By far the funniest moments were with Samuel L Jackson's character, the audience cracked up everytime he spoke. Christoph Waltz is amazing as Shultz and Jamie Foxx did a great job as Django. DiCaprio was another highlight, and there were many great characters in this film.

I liked the action very much, it was meant to be over-the-top and it was very intense. The soundtrack was good and I liked the long sweeping shots of the desert and snowy areas. Can't wait to watch it again!

I probably do. The friend I went to see Django with loves that movie, so I’m probably going to get strongarmed into it sooner or later.

Nepsotic 02-05-2013 03:45 AM

I wated Django with my brother, it's awesome. My brother also said I should watch Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. Django is the only Tarantino film I've watched aside from "From Dusk Til' Dawn" and that film is fucking amazing.

In other news, I've watched the first 6 episodes of American Horror Story: Asylum. It's still great, and much scarier than the first season, but it isn't as good.

Ridg3 02-05-2013 07:51 AM

AHS:Asylum was good to begin with, got a bit confusing with the amount of separate stories that took within the thirteen but they managed to tie them up pretty well and the last two episodes are, by far, the best in the season.

Just wait for the Name Game episode.

Bullet Magnet 02-05-2013 09:55 AM

Just saw the World War Z trailer

They appear to have taken the title of the book and nothing else.

Huh, that's a Tarantino movie too? Guess I've watched two then.

Wings of Fire 02-05-2013 10:39 AM

Written by Tarentino. Not directed.

Nepsotic 02-05-2013 11:00 AM

Yeah, he did the screenplay.
"Don't try to run, because I've got six Little friends, and they can all run faster than you can". Tarantino's dialogue is fucking amazing.

Crashpunk 02-08-2013 05:57 AM

I just saw Taken. I really wish I saw this film a lot sooner because holy crap, It was fantastic.

What I loved about it was it fast paced and really well edited. The action in my opinion was seamless and was extremely fun to watch. The plot was also really good too, despite a few plot holes. (Why didn't he get his daughter's friend out of that house?)

But in anycase, I loved it. I'm pretty sure a lot of people have already seen it (I'm always late when it comes to films). But if you haven't, I would recommend it.

OANST 02-08-2013 07:34 AM

Can you remove that quote from your sig, please? False advertising.

Josh 02-08-2013 08:14 AM

I watched an eastern European film called Suicide Room. I kinda wish my friend had told me about the cutting in it because that was uncomfortable

But yeah overall it was a good film and I feel sorry for the main character because his parents are shit and his only friend is some manipulative emo chick, who he met on a second life type game, that makes his situation worse. poor bby

MeechMunchie 02-08-2013 09:16 AM

I watched The Matrix. Still pretty damned good.

Dynamithix 02-08-2013 09:37 AM

I watched the first hour of Matrix a while ago, then I just didn't want to watch it anymore. It's boring.

OANST 02-08-2013 09:43 AM

It's also bad. Boring and bad.

Vyrien 02-08-2013 09:49 AM

Watch the last one, the first is a priceless gem by comparison.

OANST 02-08-2013 10:30 AM

No, thanks.

Mr. Bungle 02-08-2013 10:35 AM

First one was boring and silly, never had any desire to watch the sequels.

Wings of Fire 02-08-2013 10:43 AM

There's many things I would call the first Matrix film, but I don't think 'boring' is one of them.

Nepsotic 02-08-2013 10:50 AM

It has a cool name.
