Is a Community's Choice considered a flash sale?
|
The flashiest.
I demand everyone buy this or I'm never sharing a sale again. |
What the fuck did I just buy? I remember playing Darwinia, so I assume it's similar. I have not actually even installed this yet, I just wanted MM to keep posting great sales.
Actually I've considered buying this for a while so thanks. Still want to hear people's opinions on it. |
Call it a vested interest - I think it's fantastic, but I never have anyone to multiplay with. I must've played hundreds of games against the AI.
I've now set up a second Steam account with all of the games I own on its wishlist. In theory, it should tell me when a game I enjoyed goes on sale. |
Yeah, I can play Multiwinia too. I played it with Meech, but he uses hacks.

Wherever I try to put this word in that sentence, it sounds wrong.
|
oh, so I just bought a multiplayer game without knowing what it was.
Guess I'll be looking for people to play with then, time to update the signature. |
Bought my first game from the sale, Risk of Rain. It's 75% off right now. Interested to see what the game's like.
|
Risk of Rain is sick, but tough as nails. You'll have your hands full for a while there.
You'll want a controller for it. |
:
I might - might - buy a bunch of copies myself and throw them around at the end of the sale. I've already spent £58 on video games in two days, though, so don't get too hopeful. |
:
@MM thanks for personally sending a invite out. Probably would have forgotten to join. |
Assassin’s Creed 4 was on sale and I gave money to Ubisoft for it and I just know it’s gonna need to run Uplay and why did I do this
Also I bought The Yawhg, which is a neat little game a friend showed me which is basically a semi-randomized CYOA with really nice art. I recommend it, since it’s only a few bucks. |
:
It's also a 2D sidescroller with platforming elements that can get quite twitchy. That's generally controller territory. If keyboard works for you that's great, but it's definitely a controller game. Also since when do you have to be Steam level 8 to get cards for voting? Fuck's sake Steam. I've only just got to level 5, so I was actually looking forward to being able to get involved with this a bit. Maybe try to craft the badge to get some of the rewards. I'm going to buy some things, so I might still get a card or two, but I've voted enough times that I should have two already. |
I need Money.

This game is pretty great regardless if you play with others or not. I find it funny when I find Oddworld games on sale. No idea why I do. Anyways, AE is on 75% sale: http://www.gog.com/game/oddworld_abes_exoddus |
According to Totalbiscuit the Flash Sale is the cheapest the game is going to be for the entire Steam Sale.
Munch's Oddysee is currently about 60% off which is nice. I'm picking up the Nosgoth £3 deal because I want to play it, it reminds me a lot of the Assassins Creed multiplayer (with a hint of Chivalry). Definitely keep your eyes on both GOG and Steam if you want Oddworld cheap! (PS Skyrim is definitely a brilliant game to get if you don't have it) |
Skyrim was cheaper than I expected so I picked that up, always wanted to get the PC version anyways because of the mods. Also bought Payday 2, I enjoyed it a lot when it was on free weekend.
|
Age of Empires II: Age of Kings HD is still on sale. Highly recommend buying that if your into RTSs. Despite it's age lol and the fact is barely a HD remake. It's still one of the best RTSs ever made.
And Tomb Raider is stupidly cheap right now. (That's the recent reboot by the way.) A fantastic game with brilliant visual effects and Uncharted-est gameplay. |
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best hack 'n' slash ever made. But I'm mental. |
Wings of Fire Simulator 2014 |
I want it so badly, but my tiny funds say no.
|
I was really close to buying that, but I decided that I'm too busy being a grown-ass man.
|
Besides, we've got WoF right here. For free.
|
A lot of the recent daily deals and flash sales have been kinda lackluster, I was hoping for more indies and some not-so-popular stuff, Gemini Rue and Killer Is Dead for example. So far I've picked up Skyrim, Risk of Rain, Syberia bundle and Payday 2. I also got the BattleBlock Theater + Castle Crashers bundle gifted to me.
|
I bought Dishonored. I loved Dark Messiah, so it was a natural choice for me. I like Dishonored too.
|
just downloaded System Shock 2 for like, a dollar. Supposed to be great. Hope it is.
|
It is.
|
Yeah. It is.
Old school, though. and tough. But pretty great, so far. |
Also, there are some nice mods if you want it to look a little bit prettier.
|
System Shock 2 is a fantastic game like wow holy crap amazing I love it so much is right in it it is great, gah.
Seriously though, enjoy, that game is beautiful. And it's got a multiplayer mod that is partially functional! |
Such a brilliant game. It's difficult but it does a superb job of immersing you. I wish its in-depth mechanics were transferred to Bioshock.
|
I picked this game up and I really like it. It's sort of a platformer, it borrows some elements from games like Mirror's Edge, Vanquish etc. and it has a very nice visual style.
|
I’ve actually been looking for a 3D platformer to try out, I’ll check it out.

For five weeks there'll be five free games, into the second week already, right enough, with Dino D-Day. It's pure shite but, hey, free games. EDIT: And I highly recommend you have a look at Bundle Stars, they got some pretty awesome deals. |
