Reinstall it without the seasons. It's better.
Also, did you install Israphel? |
I have, I haven't seen him yet however.
I have it all installed (apart from the Village Mod) and i'm really loving it. I love the new Mobs and Ores. I thank The Yogscast for making this. |
I'll take your advice, Phylum. Autumn wasn't that great anyway.
When I installed the YogBox the first time around, I installed all of the mods so I guess I have Israphel, though I don't know what he is. |
You might want to cushion the surroundings of your chair before Israphel appears in a dark cave in front of you.
Tried the YogBox. I like it a lot, although I get a weird lag that happens periodically. Like a complete 1-second freezing every five seconds or so. But still, I'm enjoying the world I created with the mods, I'm doing my best helping a small ecclesiastic village to grow. I managed to get a fairly good reputation with them by trading, so I bought the second level plot in their village, which they will probably set up for me once they are done upgrading the abbey. Mo' Creatures is also a nice addition, it adds a lot more variety to the game. The rats are quite a nuissance though, and someone better explain it to me why they drop coal when killed. |

I started playing Minecraft. It's freaking awesome.
Wheey! 'Bout time! Come to the server. Its fun
Has anyone heard of the new mob? Enderman?
Yes.
Farlanders!
Nope, Endermen, he was even gonna change farlands to endlands to make that proper.
Enderfarmans :D
Have any of you tried the bio sphere mod thing? It changes the land generator to generate spheres of a spherical nature (except some of them aren't really spheres) that are connected to each other via wooden bridge. I tried it out and it seemed quite interesting, except it doesn't work with some parts of YogBox (I'm trying to find out which parts) so I didn't remain in that world long. It can be found at the bottom of the first post heresies (not to be confused with heresy). (parenthesis) |
When I played that they weren't connected O_O. You had to make the bridges yourself. Lava cored planetoids were the bitch.
Planetoids ≠ biospheres

I had a nightmare about this mod for minecraft called something like the "extremely dangerous set" or something. This one mod was baisically a big desert, with the sky covered in bedrock save for a few lit areas, called "oasis". I was trapped in a big dark space with realistic creepers and zombies closing in around me, and I had to fight them all off with my bow and arrow. It was a fun but scary dream. Creepers are Fugly.

And 1.9.

and 1.10. No not really.
What's the consensus on NPC villages? The little cottages look rather quaint. I'd love for thatch to be an actual building block to put on the roofs! |
So, experience points. I hope that doesn't ruin Minecraft's atmosphere.
So far the update looks really good. Only things that I don't really like are the 'hunger bar' and the 'jump & attack' thing.
Wait, they're really going to put in the "Eat every three minutes or loose health" thing? Damn!
I think he said you regenerate health when your hunger is low, not that you lose health when it's high.
I quite like the hunger bar idea, in that it's original (and every bit as realistic as eating food to restore health - computer games are going to produce a generation with very weird ideas about how medicine works, if they haven't already). But I hope it's done sufficiently well as to not hinder exploration; it'd be pretty rubbish if you had to stop caving every 5 minutes to let your health regenerate.
Some health was still restored immediately when he ate the food.
And that munching animation when he ate the pork chop was funny.
I will still be annoying as hell though. I hope he take it out later, or even better, never puts it in in the first place.
I think the eating animation looks cool. I certainly don't think it'd get in the way as much as maps do when you walk around with them - seriously, trying to look down and getting a map in your face is some seriously shit design.

Only thing I don’t like about 1.8 is those experience points. It just seems unnecessary, especially when he actually says in the video “we don’t know what we’re going to do with that yet”. It would make sense for an Adventure mode, but not Survival. |
For a game still in development, I'm happy for them to add it in and play around with it depending on the response of the players. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being a feature that is only in Adventure mode.

I find them annoying, too. How are you supposed to explore while holding a map without looking down every so often? Swapping between that and another tool is one way, but that's annoying.

Question: Is diamond armour any tougher than iron armor?
Most likely yes.
