Aww shite...since when does the Wii have all these great exclusives?
|
Too right. I want the Wii just for the new Kirby and DK returns.
|
Got Dragon Age origins, not really enjoying it right now, though I barely started, I can tell I dont really like the combat. Im tempted to just trade it in now, so I can delete it from my gamerscore, and get Just Cause 2 or Prototype.
|
The combat takes some getting used to, but it's a pretty fun game if you just set it to easy, and enjoy everything else.
Although, the inventory system is fucking bullshit. |

Played the demo of Costume Quest. Got bored. Not gonna bother with the full version.
Just bought the Deathspank sequel Thongs of Virtue and intend to use the dullness of Christmas (when everyone I normally hang out with are stuck with their family) to get in to that. |
I have dusted off the 360 and am playing Tales of Vesperia.
Also planning to get a 360 game or a couple of arcade games. Suggestions? |
For arcade games, I'd highly recommend Braid, Limbo and Super Meat Boy. They're probably the three best xbox live arcade games out there.
|
I'm working through FFVII.
I just spent around 30 minutes walking through the desert below the Gold Saucer before quitting. I did fight a little green thing that gave 10,000 gil when defeated, so it wasn't a complete waste. |

I thought about the Caber. It's like the Equalizer taunt made into a weapon. Better than the Eyelander, would you say? Bear in mind I die pretty quickly anyway, so something that almost kills me is probably less restrictive than something that takes 10 kills to power up... |
:
I briefly had the Candy Cane, then got a drop saying I'd found another one. I think I traded one of them and the other just disappeared. I also got the JAG, Claidhomer or whatever and The Medic's crossbow, though I traded the JAG. The Crossbow could be worse, but it feels like it fires/reloads just an nth too slowly. I mean, a crossbow bolt would logically go faster than an arrow, right? |
Listening to people talk about playing TF2 on the pc is about the only thing that could get me to start playing on one.
|
@Kastere
Tell Valve that. They rely on people complaining about things to fix them. As for the Caber, thanks, I've read the wiki page too. But is it better? EDIT: Playing Super Meat Boy. Either this game is nowhere near as hard as I have been led to believe or I have to face the shocking realisation that I may actually be good at a video game. |
:
However, a lot of them are really accommodating to new players and the Updates Valve releases are rad as hell (except for the Hats). People who trade have the worst business sense in the world, though. :
You'd be better off with the Eyelander or Horseless Headless Horsemann's axe for actual legit melee usage. I need a Crit-A-Cola. Any TF2 player reading this should message me and give it to me. |

at the moment I'm playing halo 2
|
I'm playing Braid.
Oh my God! I finished worlds 2, 3 and 4 in one sitting of around 1 hour. I managed to finish the 2nd word's puzzle in that time. I only found a few at best of the other world's puzzle pieces. Fuck, world 4 was trippy. Don't even get me started on guiding an enemy through the green-lined pirranah plants. I nearly ripped my hair out before finally ragequitting. There was a key puzzle in world 3 that involved opening 3 doors with 2 keys. There was one regular key and one green-lined key. Of the three doors, there were 2 norman and one green-lined. I misused the green key immediatley and had to move on. I love it. |
I'm Playing Borderlands and Left 4 Dead and Red Dead redemption: Undead Nightmare and Crackdown 2 and...
I wasn't given any of them for Christmas. I just got an amazing super deal on them. About 70$ total. Only two were used. Undead Nightmare turns RDR into an all-around action game. Not that it wasn't before, but now you have to be on your toes. Borderlands be Borderlands. I'm going to pick up the Game of The Year expansion pack at some point. L4D is same as always. I should probably get Live, though. Probably. Crackdown 2 is meh. I'm not even ten minutes into it, though. Fucking tutorials. |

I've almost completed Alan Wake now and I have to say, it's one of my favourite games already.
I have yet to try out Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2. I have a feeling that Bioshock 2 isn't as good ad the first one, but I'll definitely get around playing it soon. I also started playing Dragon Age: Origins and it seems interesting. I'm a Level 2 Elf Warrior! Woo! |
I'm playing Crash Bandicoot 2. I think its the best crash game
|
I finished Alan Wake yesterday and beat the first DLC just a moment ago.
The game itself was amazing, but the first DLC was pretty stupid to be honest. When I get some MS points I'm going to buy the second DLC, heard it's better. |

Good. He cheats.

I trundled up to the Mall today to pick up Vanquish. It's a 3rd person shooter where you can slide around really fast and slow down time, very stylistic, extremely trite story and pretty good graphics.
Anyway, I picked up the used copy for 54.99 from the shelf, but the lady at the register offered it to me for 40$ New, because they were having a sale. I decided to pick up a Points card as well and bought Super Meat Boy. I was dubious about SMB, thinking that if everyone likes it I wouldn't for some reason. Yeah, I was wrong. It's great. I'm not fantastic at it but it's still great. Also, Undead Nightmare, the RDR expansion has one of the saddest missions ever. You have to Chase down 6 supposed 'baby eating' Sasquatch zombies, but it turns out they're just normal Sasquatches and the last one begs you to kill him. I reset my save and killed the guy who gives the mission out. It's one of the best pieces of Zombie Related material I've ever seen, too. Handled just lightheartedly enough to not be pretentious, but still really fun and interesting. Undead cougars can FUCK OFF though. |
You're making me want Undead Nightmare, which I had been avoiding because it isn't canon. I know, I know. That's really stupid, but what can I say? I have a weird ocd thing about not playing non-canon quests in games.
|
I just bought Machinarium on Steam. It's a great puzzle game and it's pretty difficult too. It's on sale 'till tomorrow so get it now! (About 3$!)
PS. Can someone explain me what is 'canon' ? |
Material that is considered to be a genuine part of the story.
|
Ah, thanks.
|
Been playing the shit out of Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue and am enjoying it immensely.
Except for the bugginess, the need for a video card driver update that results in the game no longer stuttering but Windows crashing (when not playing) and the character I killed before I realised I needed her alive to complete one of the acheivements. Dang. But it's still an awesome game with a fantastic visual style. |
:
I qualify it as Canon, though. Simply because I though the ending to RDR was tacked-on horseshit. Alrighty, so SMB is hard but for some reason not frustrating. I find myself just slightly disappointed when I die, but then it's like "oh well let's just get back into it". Undead Nightmare has provided me with a Zombie Horse, which has unlimited health and stamina but which you constantly have to steer. Today I found War, the first Horse of the Apocalypse that the game offers you. War is invincible and infinite stamina-able, and apparently because he is on fire running into things set them on fire as well. Cripes, I can't wait to find Death. |
Been playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent with my mates
It is sooo fun getting 'Shit yourself' scared. |
Joe will have enough points to buy a 1200 point game after he buys Super Meat Boy.
What game should Joe buy! |
Buy Braid. Solve Puzzles and rewind time when you cock-up.
Right now i'm playing Pokemon White, Minecraft and Super Meat Boy. Fuck everything about the last Hell level before the boss. |
