The only anime I’ve ever watched is an adaptation of a video game. I doubt he had any to begin with.

The Cromartie High School dub is good. And that one where they didn't bother to read the script.

Please tell me it was Sands of Destruction. I really love show, despite never playing the game it was based off of. If not, I do recommend it, it's been a few years since I saw it so it might not be as fantastic as my memory is tells me it is, but I bet it's still good.

Nope, never heard of it. I watched the adaptation of Persona 4, which I also heartily recommend, especially if you’ve played the game.

Oh the P4 adapation. Can't watch it yet, still want to beat the game. Speaking of which, the P3 movie came out recently (and they changed the main character's name, again) though it's still only in subs. Still though, I plan on watching that and then complaining about it.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the concept of dubbing, even though I'd never watch a dub myself if the sub was available.

It's just Sentai Filmworks are notorious for being... well...





They're well known for slaughtering good dub performances with terrible scripts and direction. Tomoko's actually got a pretty good English VA but I can't see it not sounding like shit.

I've just watched The Shawshank Redemption. It's a '90s movie about a redemption from a Shawshank prison. I loved it. It was truly amazing, one of the best movies I have ever seen.

One of two movies made from Stephen King books that actually turned out really well.

Misery is pretty good. Mostly due to Kathy Bates.

I actually forgot about that one. Dolores Claiborne was pretty damn good, too. Okay. Make that four.

I haven't watched many King movies, but some of them looked very silly. With sky vaginas and clowns.

All the good ones have no supernatural elements in them.

I have a soft spot for Rosered, I know it's not an amazing movie but for some reason I like it very very much :p

Green Mile has some good moments, but I wouldn't call it a really good movie. Same for The Shining.

I don't know much about Shining other than there's a nice Black Sabbath song by the name. I'd like to hear your opinions about the movie, whats the fuss all about?

It's possibly some of the best directing I've ever seen in a film, for one thing.

I need to see more Kubrick films.

Anyway I just watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly for the first time in a good year or two. Seems the blu-ray version I picked up has a few extra scenes added in compared to my DVD copy. Still love it, but it might have stretched it out a bit too long I think.

I've never seen The Green Mile but I've read the book, and I completely agree with you. It was a beautifully atmospheric character study that was completely destroyed by the big, dumb, magic man and the ridiculous plot swerves sparked off by his existence.
