Just watched Xmen: First Class. It was...first class! :tard:
Michael Fassbender was really good (even though his accent slipped occasionally) and it was just riveting to watch. So much better than any of the other X Men films. |

I'm rewatching some early episodes of Naruto (subbed) with the Chunnin Preliminaries/Finals battles. Very good animation and compelling story. I'm also rewatching Series 1 of Walking Dead. I forgot how good the first episode was. What a prologue. |
(Oops, didn't mean to doublepost. Sorry)

*********BREAK********* I just watched The Newsroom, the new show from Aaron Sorkin. Jesus, that man can write a show. I felt tingles when the date came up on the screen and showed that it's set in the past; a very specific past. At that point, I actually thought to myself ''The man's a genius". I pretty much held my breath for the entire newscast. |
:
Also, I saw Brave, and really enjoyed it. I liked it a lot more than Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. |
The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are two of my favouries. I really gotta see Brave, been meaning to.

Saw X-Men: First Class. I only ever saw the first two movies (and grew up watching the cartoon from years ago), but I managed to get most of the references and nods to the source material and the canon.
I especially liked the red and purple suit at the end Here’s hoping for a sequel. |
Here's hopping for HOO
|
Where?

HOO

Oh, right

Saw The Amazing Spiderman. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Certainly better than any of the old three Spiderman movies, but I never held them in that high of a regard anyways. Visually I really enjoyed, the city scenes at night, the contrast between the Lizard and Spidey as they fight, and and Spiderman swinging through the city were all wonderful scenes to ingest all the colors. It is a very colorful movie, and I love that. The Lizard worked great as a villain, an area I think most superhero movies seem to lack. It has a good amount of exposition, but I don't remember any scenes that I felt were unnecessary. It also managed to tug at my heart strings in certain scenes more than other superhero movies have done in the past. It's faults are some scenes where the acting just seems a bit off and there are some scenes fully devoted to "3d COMING RIGHT AT YOU!", other than that a superb film. I rank it's quality closest to Iron Man 1, out of superhero movis that I've seen. Iron Man 1 is the best Marvel Studios film IMO, but is ranked lower than Nolan's Batman films for me.
|
I think the new Batman films are the best superhero movies of all time, but they're completely different to other films. They have a much darker tone, thats why I like them.

How is it compared to other Pixar films?
|
I have recently seen (500) Days of Summer. Great movie, I really, really enjoyed it. I heard a lot of hype around it so I was afraid that it would be too built up and I wouldn't enjoy it as much. It's a great film, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel were great choices I think.
|
I gave into friends again and watched "Kevin and Perry Go Large", once again they said how it was a really great movie, but, no, it really wasn't, it was crap, and made no sense. I really can't see how it could be all that difficult to make a feature length version of the Kevin the Teenager sketches.
Stick with the original TV sketches I say. |
I too just saw X-men First Class.
I thought it was pretty good even though I've never been really interested in the X-men franchise. Actually makes me wanna go see the rest of them. I thought the Special effects were good, the part where Magneto stops all the missiles in mid-air and switches them around was pretty awesome. Just bending metal with your mind is just so flipping awesome, I wish I could do that! |
The scene with the coin isn't the sort of thing I expected from a pumped-up superhero movie.
|
I just saw the Poughkeepsie Tapes and i loved it. You can find the full video on youtube, but unfortunately that's the only way you can watch it. There's no DVD of it for whatever reason.

I think so, yeah. A serial killer in some small town videotaped his victims' voices or something.
|
...well, now i feel like shit. I showed my friend that movie and convinced him it was fake...he didn't sleep for three days because it was his first horror movie...
Ah well. Good for him to man up a bit. I also saw The Lorax for my little sister's birthday. I didn't like it. Had too much singing. |
The tapes are not real. Don't be absurd.
|
OANST is in denial, I know for fact they are real.
After all, I do read Wikipedia. |
So I started watching Breaking Bad to see what all the fuzz is about and I just a while ago completed the first season. So far I'm liking it, the pilot episode was really good and I thought the episode where Walt makes the deal with Tuco was pretty intense. Also, Hank is a great character.
Currently downloading the second season and probably will start watching it tonight. |
I'm a big Chris Morris fan, and I just watched JAM. What the fuck is happening to me, are you seeing the same thing? Try and watch it all.
What point is this making? Is it supposed to have a really deep meaning like Black Mirror? My brain only has a small amount of RAM and watching this show caused me to force close. I like it, though! |
