:

OK, set a rule down straight away, no non oddworld oriented custom titles. And also disallow users giving themselves purposeful titles (IE GD moderator).

Two weeks is actually exactly how long I suggested. :) And I am suggesting trialling the User promotions. This would be a full promotion, custom title, PMQ, Av size... everything. We'd evaluate how much cooler it was being a promoted user than it was being a standard user, and sum up whether it would be worth implementing as something to "work for" in being a good, productive member.

As I said earlier, (and I do wish people wouldn't skim read my posts), there is no harm in just testing it.

Yessum. No non-Oddworld custom titles allowed. And using vBulletin we can already make sure no one can use words such as "Moderator", "Administrator", etc. But I'm sure people will still get away with is by simply placing "Oddworld" at the beginning of their custom title.

Well, we will have to see how it goes in the trial. There's no saying for certain how it will go until it's tested.

Sorry, I'm in the habit of not making myself clear at the moment.
Ok, your post rate doesn't go down, it's just being taken up. Like the PM system! Go to "list all PM" in your user CP.
At the top, you get a bar, with different colours. There is "messages stored in this folder" in red, "Total messages stored in all folders" in orange, and "Maximum allowed stored messages" in the green. Say the bar was representing your post count, and you had "Used posts" in one bit, say the red one, and "Total posts" in the green, as well as a black part behind the green representing "Not yet posted" with a clear limit. As you get things, the red bar grows, and as you drop them, it shrinks, as well as the green bar growing with new posts. Is that better?
