My interpretation would be, that the fear of our eventual death limits us to what we do. We are afraid that death could strike at any time.

But seriously, select me as a mod, or at least custom title "Security Guard". That would be cool, I could kind of police the forum, warning the mods of fights, useless threads etc. by PM.

Fortunately, I know who these people are. (sorry but they are just really obvious!)

But that isn't what I mean - you need someone who does the same job as the covert squealers, but in the public eye so people know that they are being watched, perhaps then people would start to behave!

Just a suggestion, worth a shot at least.

What!? The OWF Secret Ninja's have been discovered! Never! They are stealthy and silent. They attack via PMs, ICQ, MSN, AIM and Oddchat.

But not at the moment, we already have Moderators that do that job. And the sort of thing you are proposing isn't something new, other members long beforehand have suggested it as well.

Then perhaps it is a good idea? The "OWF Secret Ninja's" as you call them are anything but stealth. Don't forget, I have been watching this forum for a long long time, this includes alot of PMs, and the staff section. I can tell who uses AIM, MSN, ICQ, and what users are associated with certain "Guests".

For the duration of my posting here however, I have forbidden myself from attacking the security of the OWF, to maintain the privacy and security of people who may soon become "Freinds".

I am a great beleiver in the idea that by not posting stuff I remember from PMs I won't be compramising my position here at OWF, because if I do not post any content from any PMs, then I will most likely not make any enemies, or break any rules, or piss anyone off for publicly displaying a private message. Being called a liar beats getting kicked out for hacking the forum. It's not excuses, it's priorities.

I have this thing about being enigmatic and anonymous, that is kind of why I liken myself to the Death character. The reason I center align my text, is because it stands out, and because it looks good. Any other effects are just purely accidental or unitended.

I don't recall making any threats. Could you please quote me where I threatened to hack? Because if you are talking about when I told you that I could easily compromise the security of OWF, you should understand that any half decent hacker could do exactly the same, doesn't matter who I am or what I say, I would still be able to do it - but I have already stated my reasons as to why I don't.

Oh, and by the way, you do NEED to be a bright person if you want to hack, otherwise you end up doing "hacking by numbers" which is where you download hacking software/exploits/cracks and try to use it on other people - not only will it probably not work on Windows, but it will also most likely contain a virus or trojan, as most hackers consider this a good way to eliminate "hacking by numbers".

Just clearing things up.

The Private Messages table is safe. The only way you could read PMs would be through the Database Manager. Only I and Abe Babe have the password, and we never touch the Private Message's table.

Private Messages, wouldn't be private if they were read by us :p

Basically, we've had people cry wolf before. And well, the ending is always the same. We've also had people hack us before, but the server is very well protected.

Plus, I've created a simple way to create FULL backups now :D

As tempted as I am to take a big fat screenshot of all the stuff exposed and in the open, the database, PMs, and other types of administrative red tape, I am not going to.

So here is a tip, be careful with cookies, because that's how I got in.

Good luck with your uber newbie security if you decide to ignore me though.

Why dont you actually show us proof that you hacked the forum? and anyways you just admitted your hacking the forum... so its either you say the truth you dont know how to hack or show us the truth and be banned... anyways i dont believe you hacked the forum since you dont show any proof...

That would be counterproductive. I did say that they were obvious (to me), but I never said they weren't doing a good job. I have no idea what naming them will do to change this place, but I am sure somebody will try something or flame them via PM.

The thing is, so long as I just tell you I can hack I am not actually breaking any laws, and as I said before, I don't want to break any laws. I would much rather be disbeleived than busted.

But please, continue this argument in a topic specific thread, OR via PM, but by areguing with me here you are ruining this guys thread.

But just for the record, I don't hack to get the respect of others, I do it because I enjoy doing it, and it gives me a rush. Therefore it doesn't matter what you say to me, I still won't prove anything to you just to gain your respect.

As far as I can remember, Al said something, then I just randomly said something afterwards, but Al thought I meant it in a mean way, but then I said something later and Al said it was ok.
