A huge bug rose up abouve her, but it wasnt normal. Whirring sounds could be heard. It was a machine. It resembled a bug, but it was taller, much taller. It had what looked like a laser on its left shoulder, and a grenade launcher on its right shoulder. Protruding from its chest were two smaller arms, one ended with a drill, while the other had 3 razor sharp claws on it. Its two main arms had fingers going all the way around its hand, they were very sharp, and its right hand had a flamethrower on it. From its back came 4 tenticles, each ending in a three fingered claw. A single red eye glowed in the dark. It metal body glistened with some liquid...blood...bug blood. It raised over Demit and she ran. A blue light suddenly started glowing on its left shoulder, and then a huge beam of bright blue laser went over her head, lighting up the cavern. Bugs suddenly screamed and ran out of the corners, they swarmed and jumpedd on the mechanical beast, but it swiped them away, and fired its laser at them. Up ahead she could see the lab. A blue laser fired from her left, looking down the tunnel she saw another bug droid. She waited for the beam to stop, and she ran. A third blue laser came at her from infront. She ducked and fell into one of the many holes in the walls. She lied down and aimed her Desert Eagle. One of the machines walkewd past, she fired, and fired and fired. 3 hole magazines went into it. But the .50 caliber bullets seemed to do nothing but dent its armour. However, the one she had been shooting at stopped for a while, its red eye going dim. She ran for it, coming to the door of the lab, still covered in the bodies of the bugs she had shot at in the past. He hurled the bodies out of the way and went in. she locked the door, hoping it would help.

The APC stopped by an elevator in the middle of the street. They all had to go down, because of their small numbers, and how dangerous it was down there. Jim pulled out his Five seveN, and cocked it. He didnt want to leave the APc, it had been like a safe house for him, but he had to. Phillips went to the elevator and pushed a button, it opened and the team piled in. "Last harddrive" said Phillips. "Its gonna be a hell of a fight" "no prob, my team'll get us in and out faster then you can say 'bobs your uncle'" said Hicks. "I hope so" said Lucas as the elevator doors closed. Jim was surprised how much of the city was underground. He had been working here for only about a month at the most. He checked his watch. "0 hours 45 minuets left" he said. The elevator stopped, and the doors opened into the armoury, the same sceane of slaughter. Beret picked up an M-8, and checked the mag. "They're all blanks" he said. Jim noticed an unopened locker. It had a key pad. He wasnt sure, but for some reason he felt he knew the code. He typed in some numbers: 01126, the locker opened. He was shocked. "LOOK!" he said. It was full with FN P90's and M-8's. as well as tons of ammo. Jim picked up a FN P90, and lots of mags. Lucas and Phillips ditched their MP2000's for the M-8's. "Nice work Jimmy, you do come in handy" said Lucas. Hicks and his team loaded their shotguns. The doors opened, the darkness of the hive seemed to fill the room. "aw shit, problem" said Hicks. "We aint got no night vision, we have to use the lights on our shottys" he said. "Damn, there goes our element of surprise on any bugs down here" said Beret, angrly. They moved out, the special forces with their night vision goggles on, hick's security team with their flashlights on, and Jim, sticking close to Hicks.

They team stuck together, aiming in every dark corner. Movement. BOOM...ka-chik Terry shot a bug. They saw the Lab infront, and heard some weird noise's. Like a whistling sound, that lasted for a while, then stopped. They got to the lab doors, bug bodies were all around the floor, as well as hundreds of 5.56 cases. "Hawken must have been here" said Lucas. they stepped over the bodies, and phillips opened the door. Demit whirled around. "Demit?" said Jim. She smiled. "Am i glad to see you guys, you'll never guess whats out there" she said. "erm...bugs?" said Spoon. "No, something worse, Dean has managed to build mechanical versions of bugs! theirs three of them back there" she pointed to the door. Phillips ran to the consol. He started typing in some things. Suddenly the door behind Demit burts down. Through the smoke came a blue laser. "shi-" said Terry, but he was cut in half. Hicks and Spoon began shooting at them. The first machine picked up Hicks. He shot it in the head with his Shotgun, its red eye smashed, and it fell to the ground, limp, dead. Hicks got back up, Lucas, Beret, Bemit and even Jim had joined in. The bullets didnt hurt them much. "AIM FOR THE HEAD!" shouted Hicks, but from between the two robots, bugs started pouring in. "aw shit, we cant do this!" shouted spoon. "Hurry up Phil" said Beret. Phillips typed fast, "DONE!" he shouted. "great, lets move." said Hicks, they started running to the door they came in. Demit stopped to see Hicks, a tenticle suddenly burst through his chest, blood spewing everwhere. "bloody hell!" said Spoon. They ran out of the door, only to be greated with more bugs, they fired their way through. Demit got lost in the frey and tripped over, she turned around to see another of the robots raise above her. It aimed its flamethrower. Demit started to cry as the robot picked her up instead. "run..." she said. and a small drill like arm burst through her mouth.

Phillips and the others got to the armoury. Still being followed. He had seen Demit go. She carried all the info of the experiments, it was good that they would never be seen again. They went into the armoury and locked the door. "Wheres Spoon?" said Lucas.

the door closed before Spoon could get in. He turned to see a bug smash the shotgun from his hands. He punched it in the mouth, and a single tooth from the bugs mouth flew out. He punched it in the stomach a few times and took of all his heavy sercurity gear. "COME AND HAVE A GO IF YOU THINK YOUR 'ARD ENOUGH!" he shouted. The bug pinned him to the wall. "I hope i give you the shits" he said, and spat in the bugs face, just as it bit his face off.

The lights were flickering in the armoury, the bugs bash on the locked doors. "Quick get in!" shouted Jim, as the elevator door opened. They dashed in, Phillips last. "Erm...what floor?" said Jim. Phillips punched in main.

They arrived at the top quickly, and ran out the door. Jim checked his watch 7 minuets remaning. "Shit! we gotta keep up the pace!" he shouted. They ran to a street and stopped. "shhh" said Phillips, all the drains at the edge of each sidewalk was moving. They aimed their weapons at them. Suddenly the one beneth them burst open, and out swarmed hundreds of leechs. They fired at them, killing only a few, as their small bodies made them hard to hit. So they ran. "YES! the city exit is right in font of us!" said Jim. The leeches were now poring out of the drains infront of them too. Phillips was out of breath. "c'mon Phil! were almost there!" said Beret. But the leechs started to circle Phillips. "no, no, NO!" shouted Beret. They jumped on to him, but he swiped them off, he was now walking though, and they started to crawl up his legs. He stopped to lean on a fuel truck. Just about every leech was on to him, he started to cough out blood. "Take this" he said, and threw Beret a mini-disk. "Its got info about all the experiments, get this corporation shut down." he said. Beret caught it. "I'm not going out like Copland..." said Phillips, and he took a grenade, and smiled at the others. They ran. He pulled the pin and dropped it. The explosion took out the fuel truck too. Beret, Lucas and Jim ducked down. The leechs were fried.

They got to the main doors to the city. Jim pushed in a code, but the doors wouldnt open. He typed in another, it didnt work. "SHIT" my codes dont work, were trapped !" he said. They could hear screams from the bugs, the last of them. They had only 4 minuets to go. Beret saw a wide airvent near the entrance. "HERE!" he shouted. Lucas shot the vent to pieces and they went in. Beret cought site of some bugs following them. They moved through the airvents. They were just tall enough to crouch in and run. Lucas went in last, Jim at the front. Jim followed the light. Lucas truned to see some bugs after her, she fired her M-8. 'click' out of ammo. She had no time to reload, so she drew her beretta and started shooting. The 9mm bullets didnt seem to have much effect, she killed one, and it cut her chest as it fell. "Wheres Lucas?" said Beret. "Go on, i'll get her" he said, and tapped Jim on the shoulder. Beret found her lying down with her backto the side of the vent. She was shooting at tons of incoming bugs. Beret fired of the rest of his clip, killing a few but there was always more. He grabbed Lucas. Suddenly the floor of the airvent behind them burst open, and bugs poured in. They were surrounded. Beret pulled out a HE grenade. "I love you" he said to Lucas. "I love you too" she said back to him, and they held eachother closly as the grenade went, killing the rest of the bugs.

A huge explosion kocked Jim down, but he got up. "Just me now" he thought. He saw the end of the vent, and day light. He shot the vent apart with his P90 and threw it away. He jumped out into the desart. The sun was just rising. He ran looking at his watch. 2 minuets. He saw infront of him 3 black vans, and some people in black. He ran to them. "Run that place is gonna blow!" he shouted. 3 men in suits stopped him. "LET GO OF ME!" he shouted. One laughed, and pushed him to the floor. He pulled an item from his pocket, and pushed a button. "There, the city wont blow" he said.

"who are you?"
"we are the three founders of Spiral, we have come to see our city. Are you the only one left"?
"yeah"
"did the black ops we sent in make it?"
"no, they died"
"what a shame, they had all our plans. They were originally sent in to take all the info regarding Dean, the bugs, everything and set the city to explode, as we thought all was lost. But then Dean stopped it. So we bypassed Dean and restarted the countdown when you deactivated one of his harddrives. But we now know that you have our info."
"what info?"
"you are a scientist are you not?"
"yeah i am"
"so you know about our experiments?"
"yeah, all of them, and i'm gonna make it so that this corporation is shut down!"

they laughed.

"No my friend, we shall never go.
"what?"

the three black men moved past him, twards the city. They were followed by more black ops.

"Get us in, i want to bring back this city, and find out what went wrong.
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" shouted Jim. He turned to see a black op with a gun to his head. "Leave no witnesses" said a man in a suit. The Black op shot Jim between the eyes, and moved on.




"Gentlemen, i think were back in bussiness" said a man in a suit...
