The Fearitales are about the Spiritual relm of Oddworld, althought they could have possibly dumped this idea but I seriously doubt it.

EDIT- Ok guys me and some others talked to Alf on Oddchat tongit and he just wants us to know that thiers alota miss information here, such as the Habitales, etc. These ideas aren't for certain and he said that ideas change so don't get dissopointed...

Well Alf didn't seem to happy with all the misinformation going around here. Such as the Lawsuit thingie in one of the topics Alf said that none of that happened and he said that at the begining of next week he'll reply to most of the missinfo.

I think that a lot of what we know is just extrapolation on Max's part. No offense but I think he takes rumors and builds them until we all forget that they are just rumors. I can't wait for Alf to clear things up.

I've never ever relayed a rumour as the truth, unless my source is a complete lie. I've explained to people what rumours are currently circulating, I've given people my ideas on subjects, but I'd never pretend a rumour was fact.

I'm going to quote my original source, as soon as I find it.

the universe. It just means that if I didn't see

I wasn't accusing you. I know you would never purposely say something false, but like you said it is very possible for people to repeat someone elses lie without knowing any better.

I wonder why Alf said that was just a rumor then. Maybe Lorne was exaggerating to make a point.

About Habitales and Fearietales, this is written in the Abe's Exoddus game manual, page 51:

"Ongoing projects in conceptual developement at Oddworld Inhabiatants are two new series of future interactive genres. The Habitales(tm) series allows users to experience days in the life of many of the creatures of Oddworld as they struggle for survival and balance in their natural environments. No guns, no points, no timers, no saving the world. Just keep you own arse and offspring in one piece to live and propagate in an on-growing, simulated, onwardly evolving virtual habitat. The Fearietales(tm) series bops you beyond the mortal realm and tunes in live with the fasionably dead. This massive mystery series series raises the interactive world to a whole new level of deeply disturbing entertainment. No blood, no guts, just grass roots spiritual and psychological horror from the other side. Not for the weak hearted. Watch for further developements!"

I have looked over my spelling in this quote to see that everything is correct, and I believe there are no errors.

Now, my opinion is that they were at one time very seriously planning to develope these two series. Otherwise why would they copywrite the names and put an ad in their Quintology bonus game? So now, why would they drop it? My theory is that they haven't dropped the Habitales and Fearietales series, but have just put them on the shelf while they are focusing on the Quintology. But this is all my opinion. (I'm trying not to make rumors, while still discussing possibilities. :fuzsmile: That's why I'm underlining the words.)

Lorne never said that the guy sued OWI. Alf was probably correcting that detail.

Still, that would make a good theme for a future game: the over-litigiousness (hope I spelled that right) in our society.

Well knowone sued Oddworld, but the rumor was that Oddworld got sued for using the kid's ideas about giving Mudokons emmotions in the game, which he asked them to put in in the first place!

Well, there will be new enemies coz having the old ones would be pretty boring. And there will most definitely be new ways to use your chant other than possessing enemies. Maybe theres some kind of way Abe can channel his power into some kind of energy discharge so he actually has a decent defense for once.
