Im saying thats what some people may think of it. That doesnt mean they are right or you are right either. Everyone has their own opinion. I should have stated on my response that it could be what someone thought of it, sheesh. This is an Oddworld Forum, is it not. You have to respect people if they are just giving an idea. You dont have to like it, just have atleast respect. Its just what an idea is about is it not?

you go al :fuzwink:

Yeh, Al, I understand that people have opinions, but I think that a line has to be drawn somewhere between an opinion, and just plain weird...

Though the same can be said similar about Santa Claus. St. Nick was a real man. You dont have to believe in Santa Claus, what you can believe in is that he is at heart the spirit of Christmas, and can always be viewed in that sense. Regardless if you believe anymore or still do, you may not have to believe in him, but you can believe in him as a figure that is the embodiment of Christmas itself. -Al the Vykker |
its the same with the easter bunny!

I bet there are many saints named Nick...
I have to agree with BigBro. Creating a fantasy realm in our minds based off a video game for looking at the world (or something like that) is quite wrong. |
With the Santa Claus thing, its true that he was a real man. But, in regards to that, Oddworld wasnt, and isnt real. Ill say again that its good to have a vivid imagination, but believing in something that is fictional, and is duely noted, is a bit weird. Take the Tooth Fairy, for example. Most of us know she isnt real, right? So when we hear someone say that they strongly believe that she exists in reality, it does sound a little strange, doesnt it? Im not saying that they cant believe in her, just that its unusual to be opinionated about something that is, frankly, intangible. Same circumstances for Oddworld.

I was just trying to create some sort of a comparrison on what some people think and what others do thats all. But in a way yes oddworld is not real, from what we know of. But actually your imagination in the case of Lorne Lanning can create totally wondorful things. They are in the sense real with their games, but not in our dimension or world. A hard topic to start to explain. So Ill just try and end on that note.

Another good point that Oddworld could be real, but in our imaginations, as Ive been saying. But I dont really want to start something up right now, its Christmas Eve. So merry Xmas to ya's all, and have a good day, ya hear?!
