Another thing just occured to me. If OI has made the decision to put SoBe in the game, it is probably too late to change anything. They'd have to get out of their contract with SoBe, and change their code. But personally I don't think that it will be in the game, and if it is it is just because OI thought that that was the best thing to do for Oddworld.

I guess it's time for me to come back, I see oddworld here sells out yet again. I really pissed now.

Good point Pilot. This does tie into the game. It's probably just a big joke. I think that the screenshots that they have posted with the SoBe vending machines in them were taken from a SoBe version of the game used on the Love Bus Tour and posting the screens is just another way of promoting SoBe before the actual final build of the game, as it would make no sense if it was the final build. It would go against the whole Oddworld message.

I sincerely hope you guys are right and this is all a misunderstanding. When is OWI going to say something on this issue? It would be nice if we knew exactly where they stood. I can't imagine they haven't noticed this thread yet.

Oddworld Inhabitants has done so much for us - their fans. They are going to get a little money out of it. They deserve it.

Well, I'm glad to see that there are at least some people that are starting to make sense. There are the type of fans that say "I've been a long-time loyal fan; they owe me!" But it's exactly the opposite. You owe them. Don't forget thet they're doing this for you and only you.

I once had a wise old hippie dude tell me that as anti-establishment as you think you are, everything you do still feeds back into the monster that is our society. unless you're living out in shack that you built on some land that you don't own living completely off of the land, then you're buying into this shithole just as much as everyone else. so even though this news is large-sized-kick-in-the-balls for all of us who really enjoy the social satire aspect of this game, it still fits in with everything that oddworld is saying. even abe & co. can be bought. sad but true.
