Hello, Oddipus. Actually, the word cojones(pronounced cohones) is Spanish, and yes, its a slang for balls.

Kahonee, or Kahuna, is an hawaiian word for shaman. A big kahuna is the greatest spiritual leader of hawaiian culture, and it has nothing to do with big cojones(except that a big Kahuna has to be a guy with big cojones, )

well, 'Vykkers' sounds exactly like 'Vicars', but i don't think Lorne would be that disrespectful. anyway, Vykkers don't strike me as being the religious type...

Zoolag 07-20-2001 08:36 PM

Vykkers may be like Vicars as they play god and Vicars r god'z connetion

MrBoj 07-20-2001 10:20 PM

It's an interesting notion, the connection between "Vykkers" and "vicars." I dont know too much about the vykkers, but from what has been said about them, they seem to play God, similar to some geneticists on earth. Lorne may saying something about cloning and science through the Vykkers, I would not be surprised.

Vykkers isn't pronounced like Vicars, but rather like the i sound in spike. Perhaps if it was spelt as Vykers it would make more sense, but that's the way it is.

Another thing I thought about the word Munch is that it might come from Munchausen Syndrome. It's a psychological condition in which someone pretends they are sick, or makes themselves sick to gain medical attention. We know that Munch has a broken leg from the bear trap, so he isn't making it up, but maybe the name is some kind of an allusion? It's pure speculation though.

Yes, but I thought the 'u' in Edvard's surname was pronounced like a double 'o'.

I went a tried to find somthing for Munch's first name (Latamire) and found that a latimeriais a species of almost extinct fish and Munch is a Gabbit which is an almost extint aquatic creature.
I also looked up the name Abe, just for the heck of it, and found it means the exalted father and Abe is kinda the the father of the modokens freedom.
So yeah, thats what I got. I really like the Aslik = arse lick thing!!!

Danny 07-26-2001 07:30 PM

abe is an actual name, so i think he was probably named after that american president. the Latamiris thing is interesting, though. i hadn't though to look that up...

i wonder if Abe has a last name?
