I find their commentary mostly enjoyable, and that's what matters to me.

I watched one of their AO parts and it was plainly clear how staged their humour is. Any of us Oddworld fans know well enough what a startled fumble with the controls looks like on screen. It's all happened to us when we make a mistake, and Abe moves in the direction we didn't want or doesn't get away fast enough.

These guys just wait for Abe to get shot by doing nonsense things while flapping their mouths talking rubbish.

How unfortunate.

But on the flip side it makes for good discussion, and it's nice to see people talking up a storm about it. :happy:

I dont watch game grumps for the games anyway, I started watching to support egoraptor and stayed cuz I enjoy the personalities on the show.

Nobody watches GameGrumps for the games. I used to like them back when it was just Arin and Jon, but then Jon left and they became this huge team for some reason.

And yes, it was only enjoyable because of JonTron for me.

I don't like them. Not even their Sonic 06 playthrough.

Each to their own. I like countless games they've covered honestly. Both newer Grumps and the original.

Yup. I actually unsubscribed the moment Jon left. I only just recently got back into them.

I might like them again, but it's not even close to being as good as it was. Jon made that show great.

i watched GG play Heart of Darkness, that was pretty funny. mainly because i kind of hate that game for how fucking frustrating/punishing it is. it's a great game but by the end you feel dead inside. they did too.

ha yeah that's true, but it was cool how they did it. video game logic.

It's not like GG ever finishes the games they start so it was matter of time when they would stop and move to the next game

I didn't mind the way they're playing too much. After beating the game so many times, it feels nice watching some newbies play it.

That being said, they do go off on too many tangents, there's too many pauses in the gameplay, and some of the stuff they say about the game is baffling. Possessing the enemies feels like cheating? It's an integral part of the game and a lot of the game's puzzles revolve around it.

Regardless, it doesn't look like they're going back to it, so meh.

I'm the very opposite with games. It drives me nuts watching them. If it's someone new at the game and I'm there to teach them, then yeah sure that's different. But I still I find it cringe-worthy. :S

until said newbies get stuck at a point in the game at it takes all your energy to not go into a rage screaming at the screen "YOU'RE OK IF THERES ONLY ONE PARAMITE STOP FREAKING OUT GOD DAMN IT"

I do enjoy myself some good old Game Grumps every now and then, though I mostly watch it for the commentary rather than any interest in the games they choose to play and I certainly preferred it more when Jon was still around.

I've found that a lot of my enjoyment from watching them comes from the stories told on either side. Arin, Jon, and Dan are all very "real" people and some of the stories they have are quite entertaining, as for Suzy and Barry and whoever else makes up the Game Grumps now I have no idea. I don't usually watch the stuff with the others in it besides the Undertale playthrough with Barry and the other one. Sometimes I do find myself skipping through a video when (mostly) Arin will get stuck on something and the stale humour ensues:

Barry was a thing even in the old grumps. He was the funniest one because he never talked or showed up, all his comedy was visual and scripted.

Now.... I'm not even subscribed, and not without reason

I've been watching them less and less. I'm still a fan but a lot of it now is just Arin forcing a fake rage all the fucking time. And the genuinely funny moments and stories they used to tell are getting rarer and rarer. It's such a shame that's what the show has become.

Also I'm so sick of Mario Maker. I want it go away forever. Please let it die...

Crashpunk you should watch Two Best Friends/Super Best Friends. They're like Game Grumps except funny and entertaining.

I dont follow gromps any more but i sometimes wind up watching one of their videos. Couldnt watch this one tho holy hell.
