This artwork is nice, looks more closer to the original.

Crashpunk 02-11-2016 04:36 AM

Wow. Yeah your right. That does look like original artwork.

I'm unsure if that's new or not, but I like it regardless.

Alf Shall Rise 02-11-2016 07:58 AM

Is that a bloodstain on the left side of the controller?

Varrok 02-11-2016 08:02 AM

I think it's Lorne's blood

Scrabaniac 02-11-2016 10:40 AM

I've had a chance to play the Wii U version, since i downloaded it today. I have to say, the graphics are pretty good when comparing it to PS4 gameplay. It's obviously not as crisp, but it's still really good. As for the gameplay, i find it a tiny bit unresponsive, and in parts extremely lagging. Especially when theres lots of Mudokons on screen at once. The loading times are tediously long, but i expected this after how shitty the Wii U console is compared to the PS4/Xbox One. Still a good game and still playable.

All in all, would you say that NnT on Wii U is the worst version of the game?

Alf Shall Rise 02-11-2016 12:30 PM

they tweeted this image too, if anyone gives a hoot.

The Wii U is the least powerful console NnT is on. I've got a copy of it too and it's pretty much what I expected.

It's neat to play it on the gamepad though.

FrustratedAssassin 02-11-2016 02:23 PM

At first when they announced the WiiU I was thinking, there's no way the Gamepad is going to be as uncomfortable as people say it will be.

Then I got a WiiU as a Christmas present the year it came out. And the Gamepad was just as uncomfortable as people said it was going to be.

Crashpunk 02-11-2016 02:31 PM

Yeah it is. But you can use a controller and make the game-pad essentially a mini-tv. :)

I don't know why you'd really want that, but it's quite nice anyway. And I use it like that from time to time.

Shade667 02-11-2016 02:40 PM

I dont even use the default controller. I got a pro controller shaped like a PS2 pad from Monster Hunter tri a while back.

Scrabaniac 02-11-2016 02:42 PM

Wii U is the least powerful, but aesthetically it looks much better than the PSVita version. The Wii U version is good, but you can't beat the PS4 Version.

FrustratedAssassin 02-11-2016 02:54 PM

The WiiU is way more powerful than the Vita though.

Connell 02-11-2016 03:32 PM

It's at a pretty decent price right now with the 20% discount, but I am certain it will drop more. I will buy it, but not yet.

You can. Buy the PC version. The PS4 version hasnt been updated in over a year.

Vlam 02-12-2016 06:32 AM

Crashpunk and Scrabaniac: tell us if you find some interesting easter eggs. Thanks.

Crashpunk 02-12-2016 07:06 AM

The PC version is updated quite a lot by OWI (bug fixes and controller issues mainly).

So yeah PC all the way.

Varrok 02-12-2016 07:24 AM

Saying that 6-times-in-almost-two-years is a lot of updates is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?

TF2 had a lot of updates.

Crashpunk 02-12-2016 07:36 AM

Yeah I guess so.

I meant to say that the devs seem to have the PC version of the game as it's main priority when it comes to updates. They're also quite active on the community forums.

Varrok 02-12-2016 07:43 AM

Releasing updates and patches on consoles is costly for developers. You can release updates for PC free of charge

Crashpunk 02-12-2016 08:18 AM

I actually didn't know that. So that explains a lot.

Scrabaniac 02-12-2016 10:20 AM

I meant that ps4 is best graphics wise. I have it on PC, but i am not a PC gamer, so it's harder for me to pick up and play. I have got to Monsaic Lines on Wii U, but i doubt i'll continue, as i have my ps4 directly underneath my Wii U which has New n Tasty on it. I'd rather play that version rather than the laggy wii U one.

Varrok 02-12-2016 10:24 AM

Console ports aren't prettier than PC version.

Its free to patch PS4 IIRC. Just a little slower.

Only if you have a good PC.

Only if you have a good PC.

You don't even need a 'good' PC to outperform consoles these days. The current console generation's hardware was pretty outdated right from the start.

Varrok 02-14-2016 07:42 AM

Yeah, PS3/X360 hardware in comparision to then-PCs are better than PS4/XBO in comparision to recent PCs

Connell 02-19-2016 02:07 PM

Bit the bullet and bought it. Downloading as we speak. Will let you know if I notice anything different to the PS version.

Scrabaniac 02-20-2016 12:51 AM

I think the main differences is lack of certain sound effects (e.g. alarm in the very beginning), and speed of gameplay/long loading times

Connell 02-20-2016 04:40 AM

Yeah. The only difference so far I've really noticed is the ability to skip the opening cutscene (unless I was just being brain dead on the PS3/4 version) and the laggy as fuck framerate in certain areas. (The first secret area pretty appalling, has to be around the 20fps mark). I'm not one to bother about graphics or framerate if the content is good, but damn I was so aware of how choppy it was.

Surprisingly, I felt the main menu was a lot more fluid than it's PS counterparts.

FrustratedAssassin 02-20-2016 05:00 AM

Yeah, you can't skip the intro on the PS version, they added that in an update on PC I think.

Will you do a "Let's play"?

You can, so long as you have a save file that has already completed the first level. You cant skip any cutscenes on PS4 on your first playthrough of the game.

Makes sense, I only ever played through once on PS4 and I haven't completed it on PS3. In this one you can skip right from the go, which is good I guess if you've seen that intro as many times as me!
