Bullet Magnet 05-13-2013 03:52 PM

Why?

Nate 05-13-2013 08:57 PM

I'm at work now and pulled out the Neural Networks journal that is closest to me

Sex life:
:

As in all ART models, a speech or language resonance develops when bottom-up signals that are activated by environmental events interact with top-down expectations, or prototypes, that have been learned from prior experiences
So, I'm going to have some flip-flop action with a manslut. I can deal with that.

The fourth nearest book to me (not including the journals, as they count as magazines) is Applying UML and Patterns by Craig Larman.

:

Therefore, we will need a mechanism to provide this flexibility and customization.

Not really all that informative, then.

Crashpunk 05-13-2013 10:10 PM

Havoc doesn't own any books.

Oddey 05-13-2013 10:59 PM

:

"Ask me who I was."
Not that enlightening. Presumably it means that people will wonder who I am. And I'll only wish I could respond that way. Not that great.

MeechMunchie 05-13-2013 11:21 PM

Five quid says it was A Christmas Carol.

Oddey 05-14-2013 12:11 AM

You'd be five quid richer MM.

Planet Tad by Tim Carvell. I had nothing to do but draw pictures of blind chameleons. (it then shows a doodle of a chameleon with a cane and seeing eye dog)

The book. My Shit Life So Far is Frankie Boyle's autobiography. I'm assuming the closest book to you is one you are reading and asking you if it is any good.

Shit, my bad for being retarded.

It's good. And funny, but it isn't an autobiography as such. He tells you at the start that it's mostly lies and riddled with plagiarism with only a few truths here and there. But it still is a fun book to read. Have you read his other book, Work, Consume, Die?

Yes, I keep bee books around me at all times.

Unbeelievable.

Jbot123 05-14-2013 11:01 AM

I think you mean un-BEE....Oh wait, never mind.

Are you planning on becoming (or revealing that you already are) bee-sexual? Or are we using the phrase 'gummy resin' in a euphemistic sense?

STM 05-15-2013 04:06 AM

Whatever works best for you.

Bullet Magnet 05-15-2013 08:35 AM

I think you should try it, STM. Let us know if it's worth pursuing.

bee-sexual

I invented that. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Nate 05-15-2013 09:03 PM

Whatever works best for you.

Well, what works best for me is you in my bedroom, nude and coated in gummy resin.

I'll lay down a tarpaulin.

I invented that. Just wanted to let everyone know.

You really didn't.

Bullet Magnet 05-16-2013 12:24 AM

The correct term would be melissosexual

Sounds hot. I'll bring the resin.

Or, apissosexual, since I get off to all honey bees and not just Mellifera, I don't discriminate, man.

Bullet Magnet 05-16-2013 10:09 AM

Apis is Latin, melisson is Greek. And since "hetero" and "homo" are also Greek, I followed the precedent. If it were Latin, "homosexual" would mean "sexually attracted to humans".

STM 05-16-2013 11:03 AM

=I I still prefer my one.

Bullet Magnet 05-16-2013 05:05 PM

I would have rendered it "apisexual".

Of course, in Greek mythology Apis was the King of Argos, so take from that what you will.

STM 05-17-2013 12:12 AM

Or we could use Apis from Egyptian mythology. He was green, dude. Nothing to do with bees though, shame.

Nate 05-17-2013 05:36 AM

Actually, given that they're in the series 'Anthophila', it could be an Anthophilaphilia.

But that's enough of that. Back on topic, please.

The 2nd sentence (i.e. the one before the 2nd ./?/!) of page 25 of the 2nd nearest book (no magazines etc.) to you will determine your firstborn/firstadopted child's occupation. Discount books without page numbers or fewer than 2 sentences on that page from your count.

Then, without slowing, it unfolds a dozen legs from its serpentine body and runs forward to strike.

My kid's going to be a dragon dancer!

Wil 05-17-2013 09:16 AM

:

For example, I work with one team that requires two months of mean time between failure (MTBF) testing before releasing their product, which includes both hardware and software.
The book is Agile Estimating and Planning, sitting on our producer's desk. So my first child will be an Agile producer. Kind of determined without even having to open the book, really.

Bullet Magnet 05-17-2013 07:42 PM

Naturally, members of the Veiled Alliance (and anyone else suspicious of arcane magic) regard dragonborn with suspicion.
Destined for great things, it seems.

Jane Eyre:
"I was stiff with long sitting, and bewildered with the noise."

I can get behind that.

Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Stories, Vol. 1

It was precious dirty and lonely.

BWAHAHAHA!!!

"It was from this gruelling race that one of the finest sports cars ever made was born - the Jaguar 3.8 Litre E-Type"

Yeah I'm not even goona bother stating which book this is from...

Varrok 06-14-2013 02:28 AM

Is it a book about driving?

JennyGenesis 06-14-2013 03:29 AM

No.

Phylum 06-14-2013 03:41 AM

Did your parents buy it for you?

JennyGenesis 06-14-2013 04:09 AM

Yes, it was a christmas present.
