this whole boston story is crazy. and I am not only talking about the two bombers.
why are people following this shit in such a maniac way? |
Because the media likes to turn this shit into a movie, which is why there are so many mass murderers in America who want to be on the news.
The media is privatised and will do anything for ratings. |
So they found the second bomber. I'm watching live as they try to film the area that they aren't allowed into, while a journalist points out the other media and keep us updated on every police officer who wipes their nose.
Apparently he has explosives on him. They're worried he's going to commit suicide. Other media say he's already been captured. I don't know what the hell to believe with our media. The media coverage of this is awful. I don't understand why this is plastered over every channel right now. Surely things have happened in Australia overnight that are more interesting than watching a reporter rehash the same information over and over again from 15 blocks away. She's talking about how it would be easier for him to get away because it's dark. I haven't posted here yet, because I haven't had much to add. This is tragic. e: Ok, according to Sky News he might be dead. Another channel have referenced that and are referring to "the body" and how they are going to ensure it doesn't explode getting it out of the boat. |
"Suspect in Custody" according to Boston Police Tweet

15 minutes on and our media, who are filming live, have finally caught on.
|
And the media circus continues.
|
Apparently the police just all let out a cheer. There's applause. They've caught him, again?
|
We might never know.
|
Now our media are talking about how young men in today's society have no clear rolemodels and can fall into disarray.
I really feel bad from dragging this thread down, away from the tragedy at hand, but I just can't ignore this. |
:
Well that'll solve everything, then. |
I can't wait to hear which video game they practiced on, maybe Bomberman?

I find it interesting that I've heard nothing about Korea since this, obviously it wasn't as important as everyone made out because the media isn't reporting on the nigh on end of the world that they made it out to be.
|
I think mostly it's because the DPRK has taken this opportunity to step back into the shadows, and pretend they didn't say a goddamn thing.
|
I reckon they realised at this point it's not a good idea to piss off the US any more.
|
Nope, a quick search shows that the situation still continues. Just most media outlets think we're bored of it or something. NK are in talks to secure oil imports from Iran - Someone else who hates the west over sanctions on nuclear technology.
|
Sanctions on a country like Iran are stupid because they're a rising power in the Middle East and the west vitally needs the oil that they can supply. If we lose those sorts of contracts to countries like NK then it's just as dangerous as letting Iran develop its nuclear programme unimpeded.

The guy in custody has been charged with... and hang on to your chairs, this is funny; the fatal use of weapons of mass destruction.
All these years everyone was wondering why the US thought Iraq had WMD's since it was pretty evident they didn't have any nukes. Turns out the definition of 'weapon of mass destruction' in the US is now scaled down to small bombs that barely have the power to break a window. Yes, it's terrible what happened but charging the guy with having used (what you'd expect to be) nothing short of a nuke is down right ridiculous and not in the least of all scary since it makes the difference between life in jail or the death penalty. |
