Lego Rupture Farms.

Connell 10-17-2012 08:45 AM

I would snap up the yellow Mudokon Smiley beanie hat in seconds. Honestly I want one right now.. anyone know of any websites that you can create custom beanies on?

Slog Bait 10-17-2012 09:52 AM

I'm sure if you did a quick search on Google, you'll find something.

It's better to wait to see if they release any official merchandise. Though, I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed. If they do come out with mudokon face beanies, then buying that will allow OWI to profit off of it, and that money can go to their future projects. And then there's always the option of trying to craft it by hand.

Cloudman 10-17-2012 02:07 PM

I work in an embroidery store actually, was thinking of doing something Oddworld-related for myself. Those Mud smilies were definitely an idea...

Lego Rupture Farms.

Maybe they could do a Lego FeeCo. too!

Bester 10-18-2012 01:02 AM

Brew!

I remember there being SoulStorm Brew bottled beer just like the games! It was merchandise around the time Abe's Exoddus was released, sadly I was under aged then and my parents would not buy it for me BUT NOW I have my own moolah and I am of a responsible age!

Wil 10-18-2012 01:28 AM

Don't worry, it was only bottled water handed out at expos.

Hmm well that's no good. I wanna get sick from brew. :fuzsad: Maybe Sekto Springs bottled water?

Phylum 10-18-2012 01:34 AM

What's so special about Chris' water?

Or y'know, Just get some beer and stick a SoulStorm Brew logo on it. Or what I did and stick the logo on peoples drinks at a houseparty and watch them all drink.

Would you?

Any Lego Oddworld would be awesome actually :)

Somehow this sounds very wrong.

Crashpunk 10-18-2012 06:34 AM

Well I don't mean I stare intensely at them whilst they are drinking. I mean I looked every so often to see if they notice the SoulStrom Logo.

Nepsotic 10-18-2012 07:07 AM

A little posable Scrab figure is all I'd like, around the same size as the sentry turret figure from Portal 2.

Was this really needed?

I dunno know about you, Xav, But I certainly need them.

hedjeroo 10-18-2012 08:00 AM

I think clothing is a very good route to take for Oddworld merchandise. It tends to have very flexible design prospects. And be cheap. Just gotta be careful with the way it's being done, it sort of becomes ironic in a terrible way if stuff's being produced in sweatshops by people being paid virtually nothing and all.

For some reason I really think the idea of a stitchlip bandana is fantastic.

Maybe something like this. Although come to think of it, this might be a better thing for Stranger merchandise... Still! It's an idea. A nice cosy idea considering the northern hemisphere is going towards the winter months now.

Is that an Oddworld cod piece?

STM 10-18-2012 09:26 AM

If so, I want three.

hedjeroo 10-18-2012 10:10 AM

Even better.

I'm sure novelty panties with terrible Oddworld pickup lines would sell too.

Slog Bait 10-18-2012 10:36 AM

Can't think of any Oddworld related pickup lines off the top of my head but just

Oddworld underwear

Yes.

Not talking about the mud face boxers or any of the other AE merchandise, no. I'm talking about some quality Oddworld underwear here. You'd have your paramite bras and angry mudokon g strings and

Personally though, I'd want something like this. Wear these and get all the bitches, guaranteed.

Nepsotic 10-18-2012 10:44 AM

I can't believe you spent time drawing them, mind you, I spent time on making terrible things just to annoy Crashpunk. I'd tip my hat to you if I was wearing one.

I like the angry Mudokon G string the best.

sam250 10-18-2012 10:49 AM

Black background full colour graphic tees are hyper ugly and only worn by neck-beards. That can't be good for brand image.

Clothing merchandise is not cool. As well as being ugly, as the focus is on the brand rather than the style, people who wear them turn themselves into walking advertisements (the are also invariably lazy in their dress). I wonder if they have any self respect.

Maybe a good, clever graphic designer could pull it off. I don't know.

Mud face beanies and stitch-lip bandanna's look kind of cool, though (though without the OWI logo on the latter).

Just my 2 pence :):):):):):):):) ect.

STM 10-18-2012 11:58 AM

^ hear that, folks. No one with wearable memorabilia has no self respect. Well fuck a duck.

Crashpunk 10-18-2012 12:37 PM

I just spent literally 3 minutes in a fit of laughter after seeing that.

Xavier 10-19-2012 12:47 AM

This looks like it could be a very cool concept if you drop the OWI logo. I wonder how it would look like in real life though.

hedjeroo 10-19-2012 07:36 AM

I imagine it'd have the full face on it, but could be folded in such a way that it only shows the mouth when worn in the way of a mask.

I mean, I got the idea from existing bandana designs that work in a similar way. I got a side-by-side of someone wearing a design I actually managed to find the unfolded version of (hooray for google).

http://i.imgur.com/X1EpP.png

I imagine a Mud smiley bandana would be a little plainer than that, mind. And I keep looking back and agreeing with you guys more and more that the OWI logo doesn't look right on that sketch I did. Definitely would be better as a plainer design.

I wouldn't have been bothered by your statement had you not made a stupid, generalised statement about people who wear clothing merchandise. Since when did wearing a t-shirt with something you love on it make you lazy or have no self-respect?

Bullet Magnet 10-19-2012 03:01 PM

You know, some companies pay top dollar to tattoo their brand logos onto you.

scipionyx 10-19-2012 04:07 PM

...the stitchlip bandana is cool! :D

- Oddworld Necklace
- an oddworld theme for your cellphone
- oddworld brew, scrab cakes and paramite pies!
- the live ammo from SW as plushies or something

Bullet Magnet 10-19-2012 04:52 PM

A sligface nosebag. Full of snuff.

A sligface nosebag. Full of snuff.

That would actually be quite easy to do. Just get some rubber gloves and fill them with potpourri.

Nepsotic 10-20-2012 02:47 AM

*sniff*

People still use the word 'cellphone'?

Slog Bait 10-20-2012 02:57 AM

What the fuck else do you call them

Crashpunk 10-20-2012 03:06 AM

Mobile Phones.

V_O_T 10-20-2012 03:29 AM

My cup and string hasn't failed me yet. It works a bit better than my dial up connection.

Wil 10-20-2012 03:43 AM

Different names from different dialects. Nothing shocking here. Back on topic.

*sniff*

are you aware that a few places in the world have always called them cellphones?

Nepsotic 10-20-2012 04:22 AM

Technically, now that most of us have smartphones, they should be called 'personal devices'.

Anyway, back on topic, I'd like an Oddworld mug. I own mugs of everything I like, it's strange.

Nate 10-20-2012 04:24 AM

You should get a mug in the shape of a Mug.

Yeah, I know. I was just surprised you hadn't made that 'joke' yourself.

squeak117 10-20-2012 04:26 AM

I quite like the idea of an oddworld beanie, but those in the image are way too invasive. I think it would be better to have the same sort of graphic more subtly placed on the side or something.

Oddworld has quite a few graphics that would work well just standalone on t-shirts or other apparel. I'd wear a Butt-Flo t-shirt for kicks.

Something like this might be cool as well, based on Meet the Scout from TF2:
http://store.valvesoftware.com/product.php?i=C01400
but with "Hello, Hello, Follow me, Okay."

Things that, if people who see it know, they'll know; and if they don't, it doesn't scream it at them. That's why I really like the Sekto Springs shirt.

That said, in another clothing thread from a while back someone mentioned a 'Three Scrab Abe Moon' shirt. I'd go for that.

EDIT: Oh, Valve already did it. http://store.valvesoftware.com/product.php?i=CP201
