I haven't played Resident Evil 6, but I bet it's bad.
|
Like I said, I enjoyed Leon's demo, I just don't like these new controls.
And now they've added 'Run 'n' Gun'! Are they INSANE?! |
Yeah. Since when has the military trained people to move their bodies while firing a gun?
|
Run 'n' Gun was a planned feature for RE5. I don't know why they scrapped this in development
|
To make it harder. If you could move and shoot, the game would be piss easy, that's why they scrapped it.
Still though, it's Resident Evil tradition not to be able to move and shoot! Also, OANST, Leon wasn't trained by the military :L |
Also, OANST doesn't care.
|
I've played Resident Evil 6 and it's marginally better than 5. That being said I'm a jaded bastard who hasn't enjoyed any of them since RE3. Okay, Zero was okay. Four was tolerable as well, but it wasn't a great game for those of us who were expecting the series to follow the suit of its predecessors.
|
:
|
It was always good, but the peak was by far RE4.
|
Meh, I just didn't like the story behind RE4. What does las plagas have to do with anything?
|
:
:
|
Who plays games for the story alone?
*Mass Effect* |
:
|
Alright, what games do you play, PURELY for the story?
*Mass Effect* |
Obviously you don't if you like RE4. It wasn't a great game. I'll take story over anything else any day.
|
:
Broken Sword games Monkey Island games Sam & Max games There have to be some other adventure games, but I can't think of any right now. |
:
Seriously, I refuse to believe it. |
:
Just because I play (some) games purely for the story, even if that type of game is my favourite, doesn't mean I can't enjoy games for the gameplay. |
Visual novels, fair enough.
Actually, WoF if you like visual novels there's this one great one that you should play. |
:
Planescape Torment |
:
|
Might I make a suggestion?
Movies |
:
The closest you get is probably realistic racing games. I don't think I'd play Gran Turismo if it had an award winning story. |
That and realistic sports games for me.
|
:
|
I used to dislike realistic flight and combat simulators. Then I got ARMA2. Now I love every genre
|
:
I dislike flight simulators, but I like some Ace Combat games (Mainly because of the story. They're fun to play). Does that count? |
Madden 13 and the Curse of the Doomball.
|
EDIT: nvm
|
Text adventures, then.
|
I loved Resident Evil 4 & 5 (yes I loved 5, it was a fun game fuck you guys), so I'm not really worried about 6. Capcom usually pulls through in the gameplay department. Usually.
|
5 would have been tons better if they didn't force co op.
|
This is true. I thought it had well-designed levels, though.. The gunplay was really fun, too.
Would've been a lot better if they had simply scrapped Sheva, though. |
I fucking hated that bitch.
"I'm not... Gonna make it!" "I'm coming! Hold on! I'm coming!" *dies Yes, it was fun, though. |
The worst part was her AI when you wanted to play by yourself. God, she was a fucking retard. She'd be equipped with fully-loaded shotguns and pistols, and would drop everything when her grenade launcher ran out to grab more ammo for it. Dipshit.

|
Nate's obsession with Ayn Rand wouldn't let him miss it. We all know Nate's motto: Fuck the poor! Only literally!
|
:
She was an idiot, but the game is fun nonetheless. |
I'm still the only person in the world who liked Ashley, right?
|
I thought she was okay, but I hated how pathetic she was. She could of at least tried to fire a gun instead of hiding in a fucking bin. Leon could of taught her how to use a gun or something.
