On the topic of the time of year, Autumn is time for settling in to new things/revision/exams, winter is revision, spring is exams and summer is holiday. No time of year is convenient for anyone!
On the other things, I'm not desperate to run competitions. But it's fun for people so why not? A lot of people asked for one this year so I ran one; I'm disappointed that it's not drummed up interest but it doesn't break my heart. Plus I hate Facebook. And if I have a dA account I don't remember it. And... similar responses to anything else anyone said. It's fun for you guys, and that's what the forum is about; giving people a chance to enjoy themselves. Startlingly, I had noticed that interest in FC is waning. It's sad, but I know the reasons as well as anyone; lack of new products means most Oddworld fans are from a previous generation and are of an age where writing fanfiction*/drawing fan-art/generally trying to be good at everything creative no longer appeals like it did when we were teenagers. Hence the hideous, hideous death of RPG. Hopefully FC won't completely die out any time soon. And maybe if Oddworld ever remembers that the aim of a game company is to make games, we might get a new generation of creatively newblets interested. *How I hate that word... Even worse, I used to refer to stories as 'fics'. *Shudders at teenage self* |

Ah well. No way am I going to be able to share my work. There is this one Oddworld group on dA called Dwellers of Oddworld who are also currently working on an OC Contest.
