Well, this was a fun thread about something I don't care about. Now I'm going to [Masturbate].

All it is is a group of people that share similar interests. In this case it happens to be games and penises. Who are we to judge or even give a shit?

We should do a convention only for white straight males! We can share our views about being white, having sex with vaginas and being men! No one can misconstrue that into something controversial!

Just to clarify to anyone who actually thinks the LGBT part of events like GaymerCon is to satisfy an 'interest', it's not to do with that. It's about feeling safe. Safe from harrassment (a major problem in conventions, especially gaming conventions) and safe to express oneself properly, without feeling surrounded by outlandish displays of perceived ultra-masculinity.

I'd like to go back on record as saying that I don't care that this is happening.

Aren't all events like this (Quake Con, Furry...Con, Comic Con) if you boil them down to their core? To feel safe and not be judged/bullied?

I wouldn't go to a convention regardless, but I'd feel safer going to Gaymercon than most othesr.
