Soon...
My internet is unfortunately still down (I'm having to do this on my phone's internet) but rest assured this project is far from forgotten. As soon as my connection is back and stable you guys are in for a metric Fuck-Tonne of updates. Work on Projects = Free Time - Time Spent on Internet |
Grrr, go buy some more internets Josh! You can borrow some of my internets until you get more, I will drop them off at a later date.
|
I am still reliant on my phone's internet. (Boo!) Sorry for such the long wait, I guarantee that you guys have a lot to work with once I manage to post an update. Until then message me your names if you've played and tested the previous version so that I may put you in the game's credits :)
|
I played it, yay! I've never been in credits before, tee!
|
Coincidentally neither have I :D First time I've ever put proper credits into a game.

arts
this calls for some fan art!

Slig parkour?
|
he's falling
|
Haaha, I love it. Now that you mention it it does look like a slig doing Parkour! xD The game is going well so far, it's progressing quite fast, though the things I am doing now will likely be unavailable in the next update. Oh, and the troubles with my connection are finally starting to get solved so you can expect an update by Tuesday, Valve Time.
|
you broke the valve time rule, you don't say what day it comes out.
|
Tuesday Valve time ~= Friday-Saturday.
|
Credits! Yay!
|
in loved the credits two, the yay iindeedd
because this fagame is coming along very nistly sir. i cannot comprehend my disbeliefe at the fact that an oddworld fangame is nearibg completion! |
Aaaaaand, now you've ruined the thread.
Can't wait for the next update Joshy! =D |
Fucking ponies. -_-
EDIT: Wow you actually neg-repped me because I don't like the fact ponies keep being spammed all over the place. Sorry but it really isn't relevant in every thread on the forums. Not everyone is a brony. |
My internet is finally back. Yay! Expect an update in valve time.
|
I'll remember to record my response (I'm not sure about voice as I'm kinda em barest by my own voice being recorded.)

I said fucking ponies because it's annoying when they get posted in a thread that has nothing to do with them. I know your neg-rep did barely anything, it doesn't change the fact that it was a retarded reason to neg-rep someone.
|
Well, here it is! Your

*prepares to download the file* |
Loved it, rage quit, came back, love it some more. Sexings well in the works.

Added a Mirror to the previous post.
|
Haha, I love it! Coming along very nicely. It would be nice to add level numbers perhaps.
|
I do actually organise the levels into numbers and annexes. It's just that until I get the save/level select feature completed there's not much use just having a number there.

You know that GameMaker has a built-in save/load feature...
|
Yes I do know that, but that isn't the kind of save feature I'm wanting. That feature allows you to save anywhere, and at any point. Hence why in my previous post i said save/level select feature. I do the things I do for a reason y'know?
I've scrapped enough projects to know what's good for the one project I'm most likely to complete. :p |
crash
*sigh* I was doing a recording and as soon as I finally reached the end my cam studio decided to be a bitch and crash,
so I'll be doing this again tomorrow. |
I got fucked over by those motion-sensors 50+ times so I rage-quitted, also, why does the jump key not work when you're on the edge of a platform? I'd go back and get a screenshot of the level that pissed me off the most because of that problem but I can't be bothered to go through the motion-sensors again.

You're better off having one game room and an object that loads other objects into it, preferably from a file. That's just about the only way rational to have an external level editor and it's much easier to work with. It will take a bit of time to implement, but trust me, it's worth it. All of the GM wizards I know use systems more like that.

Great work, love the puzzles. It's nice to see someone is using my sprites. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1222644505 (Walls).
Good God I was a shithead back then, cringing at the sight of each one of my posts in that vile thread. |
Probably because they're sprites I made, and that I used in some of my older unfinished fan games. :)
Edit: There will almost definitely be a level editor...in the sequel... Edit:Edit: Crap, Didn't realise you made those, I just found the walls in an old game when i was clearing out my folders and assumed I'd made them. I'll take them out if you want. |
:
I'm really looking forward for the future of this, it's quite the addictive game. |
I realise I hadn't actually posted any screenshots of the update so here they are. :D
