I was really afraid of those land mine things. Rather than trying to defuse them and make them explode and freak me out I just ran sligs and muds into them to destroy them.

Also, slogs scared the heck outta me. Still do actually.

The Oddworld Abe's Oddysee intro always scared me, with the mudokon head on a stick

It scared me when I was playing the game for first time, and I was 6 then. Now it's only mildly disturbing

I'm actually surprised they got away with that. They had to change it in AE, though.

They changed it in AO for Japan and kept it in AE. It's just like the fingers, but for different reasons.

I found it disturbing that the Mudokon Pop head was Abe's head. It was like looking at the consequence of failing.

It becomes more disturbing after you play for a while and start liking Abe as a character.

Fascinating. It certainly dosn't play with my mind. :P In fact I feel calmer whe ni play Oddworld. However, I think I get what you mean by that, like some of the Call Of Duty games I find.
