I forgot that they took it down. God, that game was awful. Even for a free game it wasn't worth it.
|
I remember playing Yaris, fun game.
Also I change my vote to Beyond Good and Evil since it has been sitting on my hard drive forever. |
I'm down for that too. I still need to get one achievement from the game anyways.
|
I'd rather not play RE4 nor BG&E, completed both and I remember these 2 too well to start over
what about Fallout? It's a pretty big and nonlinear game |
The world does not revolve around you, Varrok.

Seriously, though. It's highly likely that not everyone will be able to participate the first time around. Now, since we all pretty clearly own computers (or someone is a goddamn witch) I suggest any sort of freeware as a possible starting point. Now, my initial intention (vision, possibly) was for quality of participation, but not quantity of participants. What I mean by that is that we dig really deep into the game, find and investigate every weird little thing or oddity we might be interested in and see where that takes us. On the other hand, it would be very nice to have the bulk of OWF's gamers joining in on something, but it's not really my call. It's probable (and not unreasonable to think) that a lot of people are going to think this is great right now and either lose interest or outright forget about it. I'm not saying that I want to exclude anyone, but understand that you might be able to actively participate one month and not the other. I can honestly say that any recent PC exclusive game is going to leave me in the dust, holding my dusty gozangas. |
I've got a "legal" copy on disc somewhere, and I have been meaning to play it.
Speaking of which, I think Outcast is abandonware now, as is the orgininal Dungeon Keeper. So, you know, ethics and shit. Still support BG&E right now though. |
Banjo-Kazooie.
|
:
Banjo-Kazooie sounds cool to me |
I support BG&E since I actually have it and have been meaning to re-play it for a while now. Wow, that would also mean I can participate in a non-minecraft related activity with a group of people on here for once. :P
I long time ago, before the HD version was released and they changed the website, I used to be #55 on the worldwide high-score list. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1212057921 Could've been higher if I bothered to get a higher score in that hard-as-nails ball-maze arcade minigame. EDIT: You have to admit that being able to upload your score to their site to compare with other players was a really awesome thing that they did - especially for 2003. It's a shame more single-player games don't do that. Maybe we can compare our scores here at the end or so. :) |

Or are you referring to Fallout 1? |

If racing games are on the table then Crash Team Racing is a must.
|
This thing is never getting started.
|
I think we should all try our hardest to find one game for the majority of us to play and talk about.
...Zelda |
Uh, Diablo?
|
Diablo II.

If you want to make a suggestion, the game needs to be Multiplatform. That is the one and only rule. |
I'm in favor of playing RE4
|
:
I agree that it should be multiplatform. Games from last gen that have been ported to the new systems seem perfect. They are on old and new systems, as well as be emulated easily for the mist part. BG&E, RE4 are both good contenders. |
A PC that can just barely play BF3 on recommended system requirements. (If enough people want, I'll post exact system specs. In the mean time, just PM me.)
A Wii. An Xbox360. A PS2. An N64. A NES. A SNES. An Original PS. An Original Gameboy. A Gameboy Advanced SP. This maybe Unoriginal, but how about AO, AE, MO or Minecraft? I also have some DOS games like Theme Hospital, Tank wars, Wolfenstein 3D, etc. I also have some other games like Quake I - IV, C&C TFD, DOOM II, the Sims 2, etc. I think that's about it. |
The problem with Minecraft is that A) OWF already has a respectable community of steves and B) Minecraft doesn't seem to have a discernible endgame. Additionally, the Oddworld games are a great idea but I'd like to leave them for a bit later on, maybe see who can beat them all in one week or something.
RE4 and BG&E are both great ideas, but what systems are they available for? |
:
|
:
BG&E:360, PS3, PS2, GameCube, Xbox, PC, emulators |
What is RE4 and BG&E?
|
Resident Evil 4 and Beyond Good & Evil.
|
I'll pitch in my vote for BG&E.
We also (probably) need a chairperson to keep this from going everywhere, since this was Mac's idea I think it should be him. |
We could have two games going at once. I don't have Beyond Good and Evil nor the money to buy it, but do have RE4.
|
Beyond Good and Evil is currently £5 on steam and very much worth it. My 7 year old PC ran it quite well.
|
It's on the PSN, too.
I think that is probably the game to go for. I've been meaning to play it. |
If I were to get it, it'd be on PSN. Can't imagine playing a Zelda clone on PC.
That said, there are several other games on PSN/XBL I've been wanting for a while, so I think I'll hold back on that. If you guys wanna do BG&E though, go right ahead, I'm not stopping anyone. |
I wasn't aware BG&E was on PSN, mostly out of laziness, so my vote is for that. I've beaten RE4 roughly 20 time anyway.
Also, when did they release RE4 on the 360? Anything added to it? |
Same time they put it on PSN, same version as it.
|
It's a really lousy "HD" remake, nothing extra in it either.
|
I'll vote for RE4 only because I already have it; but if we do BG&E I could get it.
|
Mmkay, I want to take a vote on everyone who already has Resident Evil 4 or Beyond Good and Evil, in any version on any platform. If you do, say RE4 or BG&E in your next post.
And then the people who have immediate and willing access to them, say *RE4 or *BG&E. I want us to start over the weekend, with a 2-3 week deadline. Sound good? |
*BG&E
