Wil, you work for JAW? What do you do there?

Edit: Nevermind, I guess I just posted because I was bored

Were all the Townsfolk currently in "Don't entertain that bullying bounty hunter" mode? Maybe just like the Jail, General Store, etc. that door won't open while the Clakkerz are all cooped up.

EDIT: Woo, post count of 12 000!

No they were not. one other thingy though,

When you can't access this door before the fight, there's a sign, that sign is pinned with some sparkling thing on it.

Now the first time when the door did not open, that sparkling thing was there, the sign was gone however. Later on the reload, the sparkling thing was gone, and the door opened.

Must have been a loose circuit ;)

Not sure, I think it's generic but will check later - assuming I still have the save at that point.

Couldn't recreate it before the cut scene as it needs her to be with someone and she always wandered off on her own when I reloaded.

However, she does talk to people in the village using the old voice, and I've heard one line with the new voice (in additionl to when you press [] to speak to her). She also has the generic voice when being slapped around;)

Wil 01-01-2012 10:24 AM

Yeah, that last point is unavoidable, since there's only one pool of voice files for each race. It's the same with Maggie and Farmer Beeks' daughters.

Bodd T.W. 01-01-2012 01:05 PM

Would this be considered a bug or a glitch; I can't distinguish between the two. :(

Moot point: Is the trophy description for "Get 'em goooooood!" correct considering you can get the trophy in the second act of the game?

Maggie?

AvengingGibbons 01-02-2012 07:00 AM

has anyone mentioned that shadows of characters on upper floors are cast on lower floors?

OANST 01-02-2012 08:19 AM

That's always been there.

The only voices rerecorded were the Native Grubb Leader and the Clakker who gives you the password to the Black Market (incidentally, her name is Maggie).

Well, that's just plain confusing now, isn't it?

Max Wil isn't the only person who can answer a question with a quoted post!

Did you/they (depending on who's reading this) fix the vegetation pop-in issue and the shadow bug?

No

Limitations of the engine I'm afraid, you'd probably be waiting until next year if we waited until we'd fixed those :(

Sekto Springs 01-02-2012 05:52 PM

In some instances I don't mind the shadow bug, as it can work to your advantage. Like when you're beneath a catwalk being patrolled by outlaws, you can see where they are and plan your attack.

I have a minor gripe with the Looten Duke model. When he first reveals himself standing on the roof, he's holding his gun, but it was absent in the original (if I remember correctly).

This bugs me for two reasons. Firstly, because he was originally animated without the gun and the animation wasn't changed, it looks very "glued" to his hand and even clips through him while he's waving his arms about. It's very distracting.
Secondly, the scene where he kicks the door down to fight you himself has so much oomph in the original because you see the heat he's packing for the first time, but also the way he lifts the gun implies that it's really effin' heavy and requires two hands. That being said, the fact that he's waving it around with one hand like it's weightless in the first scene becomes even more incongruous.

I'm picking nits, I know, but this seems like something that could be easily rectified.

Confirmed, added to the list

Nate 01-03-2012 05:40 PM

I haven't played it to test this myself, but someone told me that the voice-pitching on Jo Momma has been removed, so she sounds just like the other Outlaws. Is that true, and if yes, was it intentional?

It's definitely true. She sounds identical to the other Outlawz now.

Glitch 01-04-2012 03:20 AM

Maxiwilliam is telling me that he told everyone that like a million times. I think he's making it up. Added to the list.

Sekto Springs 01-04-2012 04:50 AM

He didn't tell me!
I thought it was intentional, to imply that she was in fact just a male Outlaw in drag. I still preferred her old voice though.

Drag queens generally don't talk with their original voices though...

Sekto Springs 01-04-2012 05:31 AM

The comedy lies within it's glaring obviousness, though.

Agreed. Removing it from the bug list.

not really ^_^

Sekto Springs 01-04-2012 05:52 AM

I still preferred her old voice, anyway. If you wanted it to be obvious, I'd go for a Monty Python-esque falsetto. :tard:

lloyd 01-04-2012 11:38 AM

Is it counted as a bug when somebody calls it stranger's wroth instead of stranger's wrath?

Or is that something you don't have any control over?

AvengingGibbons 01-04-2012 02:21 PM

When in first person view, if i press triangle to shake my life back up, and then press square immediately after, the game responds as if i havent yet let go of triangle, and stranger continues to shake his health bar up until it maxes, and the function of the square button does not take effect. I have to wait until stranger stops shaking until pressing square will do its action. (In my case, the action has been to activate those buttons to open doors and stuff). Anyone else having similar issue?

Ps. Glitch, does your new dp suggest something Abe-ish is coming in Easter?

That sounds like that might be an issue with your controller and not the game. I have a similar issue in which the ammo menu randomly opens without me actually pressing the D-pad. I found it was because if I push too hard on the left thumbstick, it also effects the D-pad sensors. Perhaps if you press square too hard or too soon after hitting triangle, it also effects the sensor of your triangle button. I'd experiment with your controller a bit and see if this indeed the case.

Not quite. Been having to do line drawings for the scoreboards in Munch's Oddysee ^_^

So, I guess this is just a glitch, then, right?!

Wil 01-07-2012 08:29 AM

Well this is a thread to alert Glitch to problems in Stranger HD so they can be fixed, so I'd say it's neither a glitch nor a bug in Stranger HD.

Bodd T.W. 01-07-2012 11:26 AM

I'm pretty sure that this is in Stranger's Wrath HD too if someone can test it.

MsKD666 01-10-2012 03:17 PM

Has anyone else finished Packrat Palooka to find the gate at the back of the platform doesn't open and the trophy doesn't pop? D:
Ah, no matter. I went for a walk around and discovered his body eventually. It was still to be captured.

Sekto Springs 01-18-2012 12:04 PM

I don't know if this is a bug or my aim is just piss poor, but I cannot kill the slogs released by the slog-handlers with any form of non-explosive ammo.

Zappflies, stingbees, thudslugs... nothing hits them. Not even the homing stingbees at pointblank. I have to wait until they leap at my face and punch them out, which isn't very effective against a large horde. Even when both reticles are red and they're two feet away, my ammo appears to go right through them.

NyOe!s 01-18-2012 12:15 PM

I have had my ammo go through enemies at times but a really annoying glitch is when I get stuck in the ground. I can't move, basically the same as fast travelling in Skyrim and getting stuck. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sekto Springs 01-18-2012 03:17 PM

I get that all the time in Killing Floor. The solution that works for me is to hit the jump button rapidly until you dislodge yourself.

AvengingGibbons 01-18-2012 11:54 PM

After defeating Lefty Lugnutz the sleg poacher, I tried returning to the city, but the door at the port authority was closed, and there was no chicken monster at the counter to ask to open it. It could be my own fault because I had some fun spinning the chickens far from their posts, but this shouldnt happen. I can't progress now :/

Glitch 01-19-2012 12:27 AM

Added to the list

EDIT: Well it would be if I could edit it.

Nate 01-19-2012 12:41 AM

I added it for you.

It's been a while, but I have a vague memory that that happened to me once on the Xbox.

chicken monster
This made me laugh for some reason.

Dipstikk 01-22-2012 03:32 AM

Whenever I try to use the regular Stunkz on enemies, it just knocks them out. There's no barfing animation for me for some reason.

Glitch 01-22-2012 09:38 AM

Do you have it on Easy?
