What has microsoft got to lose by publishing SW? |
Server space? Anti-money?
I'd seen by my view of these types of petitions are jaded, especially since it has just over 1200 not 12,000 or 120,000.
Well, considering it was made just a while ago, over a thousand signatures is definitely not bad.

Of course those rules are dumb, but still. |

Also, is that you Cammy? |
OANST in OD? What is the world coming to?
But talking about Psychonauts. Not quite as revolutionary as you think.
I loved Psychonauts, but I don't consider it the earth-shattering renaissance of gaming that lots of other folks do.
And the ending was pathetic. I would've at least liked a chance to run around Whispering Rock again.

Also, promotion for Psychonauts in Australia was non-existent. From what I've heard, it was a pretty similar situation in the other PAL regions. That said, we can't blame Majesco for that, given that it was published by THQ there/here. |
:
I regards to psychonauts, I can't say I ever got tired of that game. There was a point where I didn't know what to do and got a little annoyed, but once I figured it out I didn't stop playing until it was finished. I can't honestly think of anything in Psychonauts design that I disliked. The build up to the end, the crescendo as it all came to the final fight, The use of Jungian Archetypes in new and inspired ways. Perhaps the ending was a little "happily ever after", but I can't begrudge it that. It didn't feel forced; it felt like it sat perfectly with the universe as it was explained. That said, that is still just my opinion, and I'm far from infallible. |
:
Whilst I really don't want this thread to devolve further in to a Psychonauts discussion, I should clarify that I only got tired of the campsite because I was obsessively combing it at every stage of the game to find every single item, character and cut scene. Other than that, I agree with your post. |

And that's why I hate Waterloo World. |
Waterloo World is terrible for figments. They're just so invisible.
And one of them's outside the fence. Fuck you, Magenta Fairy.
Waterloo Road is just fucking terrible. End of. =)
Let's make this a Psychonauts thread, eh?
Sure, you had to thoroughly comb the worlds to get everything, but since the worlds were so colourful and well-themed while having decent level design, I didn't mind doing that at all. Perhaps one of the few games I've come across where I didn't feel like the optional side-quest of collecting things was a chore.
Wasn't there a Psychonauts thread in the non-oddworld gaming section? |
We make a Psychonauts thread every time it goes on sale. And we always get a clone of the last one.
I had the obnoxiously french theme music from the Waterloo World in my head for a long fucking time. In fact, I think I still have it stuck there.
*starts humming La Marseillaise* Fuck... |
*Posts as invisible autoplay*
Nah, I'll save that for the Music Thread. I have a lot of accordion in my head right now. |

Yes, thanks, I know what GameFAQs is and how to use it. Doesn't change the game.
You may not have known that there were specific FAQs telling you where each individual figment is located. Makes the process of combing a level for one missing figment much less grindy.
I've already found that one.
EDIT: And, using it, every fragment in the game. |
So what are you complaining about then?
Being patronized.
Rephrase: What were you complaining about before I posted the link to GameFAQ? The complaint that I must clearly have misunderstood as being about how difficult the figments were to find.
It was a comment about how difficult the figments are to find. There existing a guide doesn't change that.
Some people prefer games to be realistically completable without outside help.
